Still one of my favorite spots for lunch. Food is great, customer service is great & the owners Mike and Marissa are super sweet. Support local and check them out.

$5 Cheap Eats - Chicken Tempura Bites
    Jessi Lynne B.

I have loved, I still love and I'll continue to love on this local business. I can honestly say this sweet local couple provide sweet service paired with delicious food that so far hasn't disappointed. I can count on them to whip out the goods. Recently after picking up our take out, we discovered they have junior bites. We came back to try their chicken tempura Junior bites only $5. Such a good snack or meal for someone with a smaller appetite. It was so tasty with the sauce evenly spread on top. If you're looking for a new spot to eat or just a local business to support, stop in! Literally everything I've tried is so good! You can dine in their casual spot or take out. Follow them on instagram for current updates and recommend calling in your order because they're quick to sell out for the day or close for catering events.

Patsy's is my favorite comfort food. I've been a customer since their food truck days, and so happy their new location is close by with expanded weekend days/hours. My favorite is the ono katsu, but it's currently a special that appears sporadically. Our go-to's on the regular menu are chicken tempura bites, eggplant tempura and beef stew. The chicken katsu donburi and Okinawa should pork are amazing too. We love everything on the limited menu because it's done well. The food is fresh, tasty, consistent and perfectly portioned. All plates include steamed rice and Mac salad or corn. Would recommend calling in your order ahead of time due to limited parking. Makes pick up a breeze. Mahalo for serving up delicious food Michael and Marissa!

We loved Patsy's Food since they started out as a food truck. Their food is always cooked to order, so it comes out hot and fresh! We wanted to try their special for the week of 8/21-8/24 - shrimp tempura. We placed our order to be picked up at dinner time on Friday (highly recommended because they do sell out quickly). We got their shrimp tempura plate, shrimp & chicken tempura combo and their eggplant tempura. As always every plate we got was delicious!

Their Tempura Chicken Bites are always talked about locally and I can attest that their worth the hype! Super delicious and savory, along with various sauces that you can dip them in (paired with rice and mac salad) , I recommend putting in a phone or instagram order and getting to try a plate lunch yourself if you're on Maui! - Miguel Morales Photography

A great treat from Patty's with a Sam Sato collab. Extra tasty tempura Fried Chicken and chewy SSato noodles with char siu bbq pork. Drench it with a little Patty special Fry sauce and it's a beautiful lunch. It's hidden behind luxury auto dealers, but worth the hunt near Pipe Pacific and the road crossing Safeway. Hint: Great place to pick up eats before or after the airport!

This place is a hidden gem less than 2 minutes from Raising Canes and Chick Fill A. The prices are much more reasonable and they sell out of their items because those in the know order in advance. Their chicken is tastier and the portions larger. They are located in the Pacific Pipe parking lot, which is a block from the new County Service Center.

    Yelpers enjoy a perk today.

We love the food at Patsy's - crispy crunchy tasty goodness - and did you know you can also buy their own unique sauces to take home? Great presents, but be sure to get some for yourself too. Once you find them in their out of the way spot, you'll appreciate no parking hassles or crowds. Lunchtime hours only makes it challenging but plan your trip around this spot.

My brother has been picking up from Patsy's Lunch Wagon for years! This time around I got a chance to go directly to the food truck parked in the Pacific Pipe parking lot. Marissa was so friendly and Michael's cooking skills are so amazing. I loved the tempura chicken bites and enjoyed the Okinawan Shoyu pork special on Wednesday so much. The pork was marinated so well and the tempura batter was perfection! Portions were generous enough to share. This was more than enough for 3 people to be satisfied. We'll be back the next time we're on Maui!

Only eight reviews? Patsy's needs some love! In addition to their truck parked on Pulehu Road near the Kahului Safeway, I believe they do appearances at the Maui Sunday Market at Kahului Shopping Center. Even in these tight economic times, Patsy's was generous enough to team up with Yelp to offer us Elite Squad members the chance to enjoy a plate lunch from their quaint menu - Ono Katsu or Tempura Chicken Bites. I went with the latter. MENU: Just five local-style dishes and a daily special in either mini or regular sizes. Various versions of chicken, pork and a beef stew. FOOD: Tempura Chicken Bites I've had many-a-shrimp tempura but never done with chicken!? This was an easy decision as the pics looked so scrumptious and an excellent choice as the dish rocked. Genius! Ten big chunks of chicken were coated in a smooth, creamy batter and deep-fried to golden goodness. Eating them plain was good, but dipping them in the included sweet-savory soy-based sauce took it to the moon! I wish I could've tried their mac salad but instead chose corn as my side as I'm trying to cut down on carbs. I shared my plate with two friends and they really enjoyed it as well, even wanting more info so they could visit in the future. Very generous portion for the price. Highly recommended! OVERALL: Fried chicken loves, rejoice. Try this version because you won't be disappointed.

How is there not more reviews of this place? If you're looking for a hearty meal "just like grandma" would make, then Patsy's Lunchwagon is for you. Their menu consists of good ol' local kine comfort food that is consistent and doesn't break the bank. Seriously, where can you find a plate lunch that is $6 these days, but still absolutely delicious? It's slim pickings around here! I've been a few times now and I must say, the tempura chicken bites are ACTION. It's crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. The sauce that it comes with just knocks it out of the park. It's a popular menu item and if you don't get there early enough, they sell out! Speaking from experience here... it was sad times. I've also tried their mochiko pork and the beef stew. The mochiko pork was flavorful and moist on the inside. The beef stew was also the perfect thing to eat on a cold, rainy day. I always opt for the mini plates which I find are the perfect size meal for me. Did I mention it's only $6? I'm usually just a meat and rice kinda girl and don't normally eat all the 'extras' that dishes come which makes the mini plates perfect for me. If you get the regular size plate lunches, it comes with 2 scoops of rice and a choice of mac salad or green salad. Highly recommend stopping by their food truck! Best part is, you're supporting local. You'll find them at Pacific Pipe in Kahului and usually at the Maui Sunday Market on Sunday nights. Follow them on Instagram @patsyslunchwagon for their schedule.

Just love this place, so delicious price is very convenient in my pocket. hehehehehe, meaning not too crazy expensive. I always order over the phone, which it gets convenient because it's faster when picking up. It's quiet and needs to eat somewhere else because there is no available table but that's okay because inside the car is already all gone. I will always come back to this place.

I like the new location definitely easier for people to get to as the last location was upstairs with no elevator. One thing that has not changed is the food is still just as good if not even better than before. On this trip we had the Lunch Special which was the Waygu loco moco that came with white rice and Mac salad and two eggs over easy. The Wagyu burgers were perfect not over seasoned and the eggs were perfectly cooked. Still runny on the inside. I had the mis fish which was an ahi today. I liked the fact that the Miso was not overwhelming they got them mix perfect and the broccoli was perfectly cooked and it came with a scoop of white rice. Everything was perfectly done and just the right amount of food. The price is still reasonable for the quality of the food you are getting and the service was great even though there was only one waitress and she was doing double duty as hostess. She was very pleasant and the service is some of the best I have had on Maui. I like how the new place has a nice local feel while having that new but welcoming aura. I will definitely be going back because I like to support local and these guys are making some great food for reasonable prices. I definitely recommend these guys and I will definitely be going back. Might not be for everyone but the dressing was on point and it had some fund ingredients. 2) Lobster dynamite 4/5 - these are baked rolls which were super tasty. I just wish they hadn't put so much of the cream sauce on top. 3) Korean chicken and tutu karen okra's dry mein 5/5 - the chicken was on point and the noodles are (as listed) a bit on the drier side but it all goes well together. We made sure to pay a visit on our first free lunch day! Of course, coming during the lunch rush we had to wait for maybe 20 minutes outside before getting a table for 4. Longest 20 minutes of my life LOL! Paid off though when we finally got seated! Ordered the usual suspects: -Dry Noodles (Dry Mein) ($18.95) - DOUBLE sized for 2! Or one Hungry Hawaiian HA! -Cheeseburger Deluxe ($5.95) -French Fries with Mustard/Mayo ($5.95) -BBQ Stick (Beef and Chicken) ($3.75 each) -Manju ($1.25 each) -Turnovers ($1.85 each) I was so hungry I forgot pics of half my order! Shared the Dry Noodles with my Mom but honestly I ate 75% of that double order LOL! Just as awesome as I remember - just needed a dash of the soup, splash of shoyu, dab of Tabasco, and a lot of cracked black pepper! Ugh, so ONO! The Cheeseburger Deluxe and French Fries were honestly not gourmet, but the nostalgia factor brings it up a notch for me. Don't forget to dip into their Mustard/Mayo mix, it's a game changer! The BBQ Sticks were a little overdone this time but I'll let it slide because I do love that char on the edges. And you can't leave without having a manju and turnover (or 2....of each LOL) for dessert! Not much has changed at Sam Sato's over the decades (except maybe the prices, they went up!) and that's the way we like it! Old schoo for an old foo like ME!

Fried Nabeta was entirely edible and very crispy. Large bed of rice, puréed ginger, and a delicate dashi-soy sauce. Truffle Edamame and Sushi rolls were good. Tuna bolognese with spaghetti in a light tomato sauce. Oyster shooters had a good proportion of spiciness with a raw oyster. They checked in frequently, and the food was pretty prompt. Food - The ahi tartare had some chips in between the ahi, and the whole thing was plated on some oil + wasabi sauce. I thought the sauce was complimentary to the ahi, and was not overwhelmingly strong. The tortellini was my favorite - the prosciutto add on (+$4) is a must! It was the most flavorful part of the dish. The tortellini sit on some pesto sauce, but I think the dish would've been a bit bland without the pop of saltiness from the prosciutto. The tiramisu had a pretty strong coffee flavor. I think I'm more used to the tiramisu from Asian bakeries, in which the flavor is more light and airy. This one was neither, but coffee lovers would likely really enjoy it! They provided complimentary bread as well with some fluffy butter on the side. The bread seemed to be overly toasted - it was hard to bite and the texture was not very soft. When my husband mentioned that the bread might be overcooked, the server said the bread was cooked fresh every day and seemed to be offended by the comment. Anyway, we didn't mean any harm. Just maybe toast the bread a little less? All in all, it was a nice place to dine in for an evening. Would be nice to have a glass of wine next time!
