The staff were just standing around bored. We came in to an empty restaurant and they still couldn't get it together. First they couldn't make change, so we used a credit card and the machine was messed up. We finally got it taken care of and the staff was kind of rude like we interrupted their break or something. Then we got our food home and found the burger bun was smashed flat and very mushy. My chicken tenders were half piece's and a 5 pc turned into a 3 piece. On top of that, they were over cooked. Very disappointed. But what really burned my hide was they nonchalant response from the supposed corporate office. They didn't really respond other than an email statement that they put the complaint back to the managers of that restaurant. Well, it's been three days and guess what? Nothing!! I had never been to a Carl's Jr. nor even really thought much about them. But the Superbowl promotion of a free "Hangover Burger" sounded worth a try, even though I had no hangover to add to the mix. With a free burger promotion on, I was surprised that there was almost no line in the drive through. The clerk was pleasant and helpful. I would not have guessed that adding egg, bacon, and hash browns to a hamburger would all mix well, but it was very good. I'm not sure I'm quite sold on the hash browns, but I enjoyed the crunch, and it wasn't bad at all. Based on this Hangover Burger, I would certainly consider visiting Carl's Jr. again. read more

Tried to order from this location on the app then drove by the location. Signage is gone and the windows are papered over. I was told, by a local merchant, that their last day of operation was 12/31/2025. This is too had as they were one of the better fast food burgers. read more

This location said it opened up at 7 AM. I was out there at 7:05am all the doors were locked. Stayed out there till 7:15am and left did not see anyone inside all the signs were lit up, saying open apparently not. read more

Figure out your hours. It's fast food, it is what it is, I'm not gonna complain about fast food. You know what you're getting into. But it's frustrating as hell that everything they have posted about hours of operation contradicts the last. I occasionally work as a DoorDash driver, and I can't recall the last time I had an order here. That makes sense since the DD app incorrectly shows the restaurant closed at 2pm on a Saturday. I went to the drive-thru, and passed a poster that said they deliver w/ DoorDash. Then a sign taped on their speaker box says they have limited hours bc of low employees. That's not surprising given that's happening across the country with people wanting higher minimum wage. But that sign contradicts what is listed on Yelp, and also a sign taped on the drive-thru window, listing the hours as open till 11pm. Get it together. It's that easy. This is the most boring review I've ever posted on yelp, bc it's completely semantics. Let your customers know how and when you can serve them. Maybe if they knew your hours of operation, you'd be able to serve more customers, make more money, and then be able to staff more employees to actually staff a dinner crew, where there's even more money to be made. By far the most bizarre fast food experience of my life. We went out of our way because we are north of Seattle and miss the Beyond burgers. We were on our way up from the state fair and took a detour. Each order in front of us took about 10 min. We thought it was the quantity of food. When they finally gave us our order, there was no syrup in the soda. I tried explaining it to two different people but they had no idea what we were talking about. I ordered 2 beyond burgers: one with just the patty and ketchup, the other no cheese or sauce. They gave me two patties with cheese. We discussed whether to go back and I decided to because it just costs too much money. I go back. They call us up to the drive-thru. The cashier looks as though I am making the most complicated order known to man. Tears in her eyes. I tell her no one is behind us and to take our time. She turned to the register a few times and then walked away and told the cook our order. I figured everyone is in training. After all, I worked fast food and movie theaters at their age too. Show grace. No biggie. It takes 20 minutes. We are the only customers. 4 employees are having some kind of intense powwow in front of the cook. One person looks so angry, they almost storm the window to talk to me and then a friend gently pushes her to the front. I have two kids ready to eat and pass out in back. We are like, wtf is going on? They bring us our order. Nice kid Apologies. Baby daddy says, check the order. They gave us the exact same order again. We ask for a refund, call it a night. They call over the manager who storms over and gives us a refund without a word or glance. I was like, what the hell just happened? Is customer service really this bad now? And why? read more

None close to Seattle area so it was nice to feel like I'm in California getting some Carl's Jr. I got 2 Bacon Western Cheeseburgers, 2 Famous Stars and couple of fries to take home to have family eat. Beware of the coupons. We went tonight and used the coupon that says FREE Famous Stat cheeseburger with purchase of any Famous Star cheeseburger combo. They ring in combo and then single burger then coupon discount. They charge $7.29 for the burger the coupon discount was $4.40. This does not give you a free burger it is a burger for $2.89 plus tax. When we brought this to the attention to the clerk and the assistant manager, both said not their problem. Can't do anything. They refused to clear this error up and then shut the drive up window and walked away, never to return.knowing they had a line of cars behind us. I got FOOD POISONING here last night! All I had was the coke float and zucchini fries (which was shared) and I alone got hit with the symptoms. Lucky me! My friend & I wanted to grab something to eat for lunch to take back to my place. Not having Carl's Jr. before, we decided that we would go here for lunch. I went w/ their Big Carl Combo which consists of 2 beef patties, their classic sauce, American cheese, lettuce, topped w/ a seeded bun. This combo also comes w/ a drink & a side of fries. Mildly surprised I'm writing a review in a chain fast food restaurant BUT I had to after experiencing this location. One, we don't really have Carl's Jr. in Washington, it's definitely a California or Southwest thing. I was sold on it until today's order. Fresh, very well prepared, the portions are massive and honestly worth the cost. The ordering is rather confusing, don't think you'll come here and just pick out what you want. From the type of fries to the choices of protein and down to even if they will put bacon on it or not. Also, they use a freaking ton of onions on the cheeseburgers. It's insane. I still am trying to scrub the flavor or raw onions out of my mouth. Also, lemonade is only sugar free, so don't get so excited. Limited beverage options but come ready to get your dollar amount prefer good idea. It's like the Claim Jumper of fast food places. read more

Really upset to see this sandwich from one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite, lot of nostalgic feelings come to me as I drove up to the drive through and so disappointed as I got home. As I looked into my sandwich I notice the chicken was really small as if it was a tender but tenders come with a crisp, lettuces seemed to wet as the bottom bun was soggy. This is the SECOND time I was not asked what size of Western Bacon combo I wanted, but was just given a MEDIUM by default. When I drove up to pay, I was handed a medium drink and a $12 bill. I said, "I wanted a small combo." The lady explained that they do not ask what size people want, but that they assume people want a medium when customers do not specify size at drive through. I asked if she should be asking people what size they would like - She responded "yes." This unauthorized upselling is probably happening to everyone that goes through this drive through. Since I was in the neighborhood, why not have lunch at Carl's? Always good food at reasonable prices. Just a brief wait at the counter for an employee since he was cleaning the soda machine area, not a problem. Friendly employee took my order. Very pleased how clean the soda machine area was. All tables were clean throughout the dining room. There was a bit of a wait for food to arrive, but when it did, the fries were hot, burger was warm also. I never have an problem with a. Short wait for freshly cooked food at a fast food restaurant. The taste is exactly as expected. As a native Californian, I have been going to Carl's my entire life and enjoy it every time. Moving up to the Seattle-area after living in the land of In-N-Out and tons of chains that didn't seem to make it up here (yet - hopefully!), we've been on a search for a good burger. My husband seemed to forget that there was a Carl's Junior somewhat nearby in Renton and when I reminded him after he had been craving a big burger it became #1 for our weekend plans! This is a chain, so you pretty much get what you expect. I did appreciate that the store itself was clean and the staff was friendly and professional. Those big burgers ARE massive. I ordered the "big hamburger" (which I didn't see on their menu, but was glad they still had it!) and was only able to eat about half of it because even that thing is pretty big! I had completely forgotten about their criss-cut fries -- YUM! -- and they were good here too. I was only a bit disappointed that my burger was almost swimming in ketchup and mustard... at least there were plenty of napkins on the table to wipe most of that off. And, just to clear up any confusion, Carl's Jr. is not In-N-Out but it's definitely its own kind of burger. I'd say it's more similar to Burger King but with some "fancier" options... Holy guacamole! That was my thought when I first tried their guacamole bacon six-dollar burger. Okay, so it's a terrible pun, but the food here is anything but terrible (unless you're concerned about your health, in which case why are you looking up fast food?). I don't like to give fast food restaurants five stars, but this place has just about everything I look for in a burger place. I just wish there were another Carl's Jr. store closer to where I live than Renton. It basically feels like non-fast food burgers in a fast food place, which really left me impressed. Let's start with the prices. With the exception of some of their boxes with lots of chicken tender pieces, everything is under eight dollars before tax, and that includes even sandwich combos. And well, I think guacamole and bacon go well with just about anything, so what's better than a burger combining both? Nothing, that's what. The burger was impeccably crafted, and it does feel like something you'd get at a diner. It was huge, delicious, and absolutely full of guacamole! Plus, it was also full of lettuce to make me feel less guilty about eating so much meat in one burger. Their chicken strips are also soft and yummy, although there's not much more to them if you don't add sauce. Same with the French fries; they're not bad, but they're honestly pretty generic. Of course, they're not the star of the show when you're coming to Carl's Jr. And for those of you who care about service at a fast food restaurant, the employees here are excessively sycophantic. They actually asked several times how my food was going, and they were just overall more polite than they needed to be. That's not a complaint, but it's unusual coming from a place like this. Hands down one of the best fast food restaurants I've been to. My husband got the El Diablo with fries and I got the Bacon Swiss. The service was friendly and food did come out "fast"! Food was served warm/hot which was much appreciated. Some fast food places serve your food cold. Burgers were yummiee, chicken and beef were the right amount of seasoning, not too salty nor plain, plus it didn't have that one-day-old taste. Fries were good, crunchy and not too salty like Mc Donald french fries. Definitely coming back here next time I want some fast food! read more
