The cashier tried to charge us old folks $18 for their $5.50 special. Then I asked about their go large for 50¢. She said ok. Then proceeded to add more than 50¢for that meal. What a wonderful run franchise. Everyone was nice, the food was made to order, and my personal favorite it was clean. One of the employees was actually wiping down all the booths, not just the tables, the actual booths. (On a Sunday afternoon). So glad we stopped in for lunch. read more

I am going through New Mexico and stopped here to get food. I asked the young man if you could order a Western Bacon Cheese Burger and swap out the burger for a grilled chicken patty. In California most all Carl's restaurants change you an extra 1.00 and good, the shift leader came up and wanted to charge me 3.00 more. This is outrageous. I was refueling something other than my car. Let me highlight the fact that this was the first Carl's Jr. ever to get my order right, on time, and delivered to my table, so that I didn't have to get out of my seat until I was finished. That is an accomplishment! I was sad to see that this was not a Green Burrito location. I had really hoped for tacos there. They're consistent. I got the char-grilled cod sandwich, and forgot to have them delete the tartar sauce from the order. (Mayonnaise and -based sauces are dangerous if they're out too long. It was easy to order and that staffer was friendly. It wasn't long until she was bringing the order to my table, and she kept the smile on her face, even though the drive-thru was very busy. Probably a blessing, but employees did not acknowledge my husband waiting to order. I used the restroom and the employee also using the rest room finished and walked out and back into the kitchen, without washing hands. Pretty sure this is a health code violation, but dunno cause we are just passing through. read more

This review is for one meal for one visit made at this Carl's Jr. restaurant, and is nothing more than that. I've had several of the breakfast biscuits sandwiches in my home state of California and have found them to be flaky, buttery, and delicious. In contrast, the breakfast biscuit sandwiches I ordered recently at this Carl's Jr. were not flaky or buttery at all. . . they were horrible! Unappetizing to the point I stopped eating the item. Someone needs to come here and show the staff here how to make the biscuits properly. If you like your breakfast biscuits made the proper way, *don't* even think about stopping here. You will be disappointed. A note about Gallup and restaurant food in general: food here is hard enough to get in these parts of the American Southwest, and *good tasting food,* excellently prepared is almost impossible. Restaurant chain food here is not equal to restaurant chain food where you are from. The quality is almost always going to be a few notches less than what you are hoping for. Grocery store food and a microwave in your motel room is preferable in my humble opinion. It's more consistent in quality and taste that way. read more

Carl's Jr is a must have for me. I have yet to be disappointed with a sandwich or wrap and I love the fried zucchini and the cross cut fries. I leave with a smile as big as their mascots every time. Yummy!!! read more

Carl's could distinguish itself by being a fast food joint that gets takeout orders right. Alas, I ordered jalapeno poppers and got chicken stars. Given that the stars and the chicken club were very bland, I could have used some heat. read more

My absolute favorite item on the menu is the Crispy Chicken Salad with the house dressing. This is one very large salad! The lettuce is always crisp and the veggies are fresh. The chicken is the right portion and balances out the salad. This is the only thing I order with extra croutons and extra dressing... Love it! read more
