this place was an extreme joke. I've been on the road traveling and I was hungry so I stopped here because I haven't had country pride in years. I ordered an omelette and a cup of coffee. The menu says the omelette comes with hashbrowns and toast I got the hashbrowns no toast, the waitress said I get three toppings for free and then a dollar extra per topping. so there were five possible toppings I asked her for all of them, which would've been two extra dollars no big deal. When I asked for ketchup, the bottle was empty. And then I got my bill and I got charged a dollar for every single topping on the omelette on top of the almost $14 cost for the omelette. When I asked her if she could help me understand and explain it she got super rude and said I'm not going to sit here and argue with you. Do you wanna pay for it or not. I should've just walked out of there and not paid anything, but I went ahead and paid my bill, but I definitely will never be back. read more

Great food and service, we stopped in for dinner after traveling from Taos, we we're staying the night in Gallop, we ordered the Chili bread bowl and a steakhouse hamburger, both were excellent, I can guarantee the ground beef was fresh and never frozen. The meal was delicious! The server (Russ) was so friendly. We left and arrived at our hotel to find out I left my cell phone in the booth. We called them and they told us they tried to catch us on the way out but we left the parking lot. We went back and they had my phone for me. In this day and age it's hard to find honest people. This restaurant is spotless and the food and service are great! Don't let the truck stop scare you off. It's worth going to. read more

Well we stopped for the day of driving here and to eat. We had the chopped steak with schrooms, onions n gravy x 2! Salad bar and soup included. Well the clam chowder was excellent and lots of clams. Not quite a creamy chowder but milky and good ! We love their salad bar cause big selection of fresh cut bitesize vegis. It was nice and full at 5pm too. Lots of toppings. Then our meal came just as we finished our salads. Oh boy did it look good and taste good. Guess we were hungry. We did salt the meat but that's to be expected. Our waitress was great and kept our dirty plates away. So thank you for the service and great food TA!! We came in next morning for breakfast and remembered that the server didn't give us our scratch tickets for our steaks!! Oh well the lady next morning apologized and gave us a 20% discount on our breakfast! Nice! Now today I could only eat oatmeal which is always good here with the crasins and fixings. And the boy I ordered steak 10oz for him with eggs. Omg they DO know how to cook a steak here! It was perfectly med rare!! I had two bites and it melted in my mouth!! Yummy. Although I was probably famished, this was a very good meal. Of course the staple offering of toast was evident, but the eggs (over easy) were perfectly cooked as so was the T bone steak. It all arrived piping hot. Service was fast and thorough. Didn't need to ask for anything. Tabasco, salt, pepper, Ketchup, everything was present and in an automatic form. Honestly, this wasn't that great. It could be a consequence of what I ordered or just the place in general. I ordered the salmon for breakfast and it was definitely on the lower end of salmon. It was rather dry and a little tough. The vegetables seem to have been microwaved and were coated in a thick layer of butter. The service was just bad and it took our waitress forever to get to us once we had finished and were waiting for the bill. read more

The waitress was very nice and she was embarrassed that it took 50 minutes to get our two burgers she offered us free dessert . The cook really took his time then over cooked everything my burger was burnt it was awful mind you I'm a truck driver and not that picky but this meal was terrible will not eat here again! read more

1st of all...Christina was an excellent waitress. She was very attentive and helpful. The restaurant had run out of the special of the day (meatloaf). So I ordered a bowl of chili along with my wife and the kitchen only had enough chill for one bowl. I was already working on the soup and salad bar and thought I'd stick with that but Christina offered a child's plate of chicken tenders and then brought out a full size plate which was overwhelming but I managed to eat almost all of it! Pulled in for breakfast. Wanted an all meat omelet with hash browns. I was told by the waitress to get the Denver omelet add bacon and no peppers and onions. I said great I'll take it. There I go expecting things... I get my food and there no ham no peppers no onions just all bacon..... I said I didn't get any ham. Waitress said you didn't order ham. I said you suggested just adding bacon to the Denver omelet and no peppers and onions but I got all bacon only.... Not my fault when it was suggested to me right.... Wrong because I had already taken a bite I could not send it back..... What kind of crap is that.... You mess up and I can't get what I want and still have to pay for your mistake.... Horrible just horrible... I come through here 2 times per week.... Good way to loose my business country pride.... read more

THEY SAY THAT THEY ARE OPEN 24 HOURS, BUT THEY ARE NOT. We went in while traveling west and were told by the waitress that she had just clocked out for her mandatory break and would not help us till it was over. We wont make that choice again. read more

Here we are, getting diesel..we saw this place from across the street, where coincidentally an Indian food restaurant serves a buffet in a truck stop like something out of Calcutta or Bombay - complete with a guy violently emptying his entire bowels in the restroom, who then went back to work...in the Indian food buffet restaurant. THUS, we came here. Friendly as hell staff, but make no mistake, its just road side diner food. Just enough to hold you over until you get to where you are going. The food doesn't make you sick...hence the extra star. read more
