I waited 30 minutes in line for my order and I drove up to the drive up window and my order still wasn't ready. I had to wait again, finally asked for the manager and complained, ended up getting a refund. Also, a long line of cars behind me, not going back there anymore. read more

My favorite stop on Route 66 when traveling through New Mexico. If it's early stop for a breakfast burrito and if it's later in the day a burger with green chili is an absolute must. Never ever a bad stop. read more

We don't have Blake's where we live so we look forward to eating here when we drive through NM. Good food reasonably priced.

It was pouring rain mixed with snow. We had sat in traffic for over three hours and finally got a chance to get food. Thank goodness this location was serving breakfast all day. We received our made to order breakfast burritos. Perfect in every bite. What really stood out was the outstanding and friendly customer service. Absolutely refreshing to see a crew work well together and be pleasant. The great food was the wonderful bonus. read more

Blake's Lotaburger - So it's a little cold for outdoor dining. - Burgers Near Me - Gallup, New Mexico

Not super clean. Burgers were ok. Milkshake want good. I came down with intestinal problems that might. While looking at the menu and discussing what we would get, in a very snide tone the girl at the counter said "I'm fine. Thanks for asking." I cheerfully said "I'm sorry if I missed hearing you. We were in the middle of figuring things out and I was only listening to my wife. How are you today? I hope your well!" She then smiled and turned off the attitude. read more

Wow, what a great burger! And the fries were super good too. I loved the piña colada milk shake even though it seemed like they left the coconut part out lol, my wife was not a big fan. Be advised that there is no inside dining, and maybe about 10 outside concrete picnic tables. Service was a bit slow as there were a lot of customers and they seem to cook each order when you make it. If it is windy, too hot or too cold, you'll want to sit in your car or take your meal to go. This might be the best burger in Gallup! Love it! read more

Delicious and made fresh! I always gotta stop by Blake's and get a lotaburger with green chile and seasoned fries! Also the Pepsi was suspiciously good here I showed up hangry and left with a smile on my face. Thanks for always having consistent quality. Customer service was stellar as well. read more

Food not right still raw missing beans horrible customer service was cussing and getting mad to make a burrito would not recommend it employee don't like doing there job just like to argue back and make excuses read more

I grew up in west Texas and ate many a Lotaburger on roadtrips in NM, and I was excited to treat my family to Blakes on a recent roadtrip through Gallup. The food was just as tasty as I remembered, but the experience left much to be desired. The staff were either indifferent or rude. All condiments, napkins and ice were kept behind the counter and requests for more were met with exasperated eye-rolls from the lady at the counter. Access to the bathrooms requires someone behind the counter to "buzz" you past the security door, which is yet one more for interaction with the rude staff. read more

Pretty good burger. Fresh cut fries were good. Onion rings were just okay. The peach shake was also good.

While making a cross country trip, stopped to reminisce this iconic hamburger place in New Mexico. Food were made to order. However it simply was not the same in the fading memory. Eating the Lota burger and sipping a cold coke in the 98 degree heat while watching tumble weed rolling in blowing dust is more poetic than anything. read more

Blake's Lotaburger - LOTA Burger - Burgers Near Me - Gallup, New Mexico

Gallup has at least three of these restaurants in town. We tried this location because it was closest to where we were staying and it had the fun "car hop" feel to the building and parking. That is where the good stuff ends. I went into a small glass-enclosed entrance and ordered at the window. The staff was not overly friendly but was efficient. They gave me a number that they called over the loudspeaker when it was ready. I ordered a chili dog for my husband which cost more than my burger and had no flavor. I ordered an ITSA burger and fries for myself. This was one of the worst burgers I've had. The patty was smaller than a McDonald's burger patty and they put gross wilted lettuce on top. The cheese was an American cheese slice which isn't my favorite either. The fries were cold and undercooked. They have Mexican food options on the breakfast menu which is served all day and seemed popular with the other patrons. Maybe I should have ordered off that menu, but unfortunatly I won't be back to try it again. read more

I stop at Blakes Lotaburger every time I drive through Gallup. I'd recommend ordering about 20 mins before you get there because they prepare everything fresh. The green chile is so delicious so be sure you add it to your cheeseburger! read more

Stopped by on our way through Gallup, got 2 burgers and fries. Good, fast burgers. Got order right . Food was hot !!! Good prices too!

This location never fails to disappoint! The breakfast burritos are always amazingWe travel to ABQ often from PHX and this is our go to spot. Since its off the Interstate, theres less traffic and appears more of a local spot. Using the app on the road makes it even easier. People often complain about consistency . in ABQ, but this Gallup location knows what they are doin! We will continue to stop here. You can find Blakes in Az but Tucson only which we don't go to because its just not the same. Stay True NM! read more

We had been on the road for hours and just wanted something to eat during Covid. We ended up at Blake's vs Sonic for a better burger. The burger was fantastic and so was the vanilla shake. However, the service was rotten. It took longer than 2 others who came after us. Our order was delivered without the shakes so we waited longer. The guy was really nice and he looked tired. He missed out on a good tip cuz his cook didn't complete the order correctly. I'd go back if I had to. read more

The service was bad, as well as them not listening to i had ordered. They were a rude and dumb staff.

I don't enjoy the new ordering system where you have to pay online before they start your order, mainly because I use cash to pay most times. So this morning I decided to just order in person, the team working this morning was polite and nice to each other which does not go unnoticed. With an overwhelming amount of orders to make, they still offered free coffee to those who qualified for it, sometimes that meant 4 coffees per order!! But they were quick and had good team work. They all greeted me when I first entered the establishment and one worker in particular stood out to me, the cashier(whose name slipped my mind) and Brian. Brian was full of witty jokes and a positivity that only added to the welcoming atmosphere. I've had some pretty rough experiences with Blake's in Gallup but good job to the team and manager at the one on the west side !! read more

Let's begin with the start. Just after ordering I can see that the kitchen was chaos. This location didn't focus on quality of making a good product. My order was pretty simple yet it took quite a bit longer than usual. I got the wrong order; the order was missing stuff; ordered burger with green chili and there was a dab of chili; and it really lacked taste. I would only eat here when passing thru Gallup, but no longer. The quality of food making really lacked skill and taste. All I saw was pushing orders out as fast as possible and nothing else. Do not go here would be my advice...it has gone down so much read more

Very happy they were open. We had been driving for 12 hours. Ordered 2 burgers a regular fry a chili fry and a chocolate shake. It was VERY good. The chili fries did have some heat. read more

We came here at 8:30am it was not busy. We ordered two burrito, #2 and #4, nothing special. Waited 20 minutes for our food. Got on down the road, opened the bag and only got ONE burrito! THEN try to call them, say on hold for 30 minutes and no one ever picked up. So not only did they rob me for 5 bucks, but they wasted a lot of my time. Avoid them. They suck! read more

Breakfast burritos are consistently tasty, I'm picky about hash browns and red chili, both are good at this chain. Bacon could benefit from being upgraded and cooked crispier (in my opinion). Specific to this location: Customer service is nonexistent. They open and shut the little windows on you. Although, today I was greeted with a bellowing "Hello!" from one of the cooks, that's about as far as it went. They call your number multiple times, but when you go to pick up your order, you get ignored. Tip: The Northside location has great customer service at their drive-thru window. read more

Blake's Lotaburger - #1 Bacon Breakfast Burrito, hold eggs and cheese. Basically a tortilla, hash browns, bacon, and red chili. - Burgers Near Me - Gallup, New Mexico

My New Mexico native boyfriend loves Blake's and we make it a habit to visit Blake's as many times as possible on each visit to his home state. This was our first time driving to Albuquerque from San Diego and we were ecstatic to learn that there were three Blake's locations in Gallup. This was the only location that serves breakfast all-day though and my boyfriend is primarily obsessed with the meatless breakfast burrito with red and green chile so we knew this would be our lunch spot. I wasn't feeling a burrito for lunch though and debated between the three chicken options before settling on the chicken strips with upgraded seasoned fries and cherry milkshake. Somehow, we had never tried the seasoned fries before and they will now become a part of our regular rotation as we loved them! Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the chicken as it was just okay. I think my biggest issue though was the ranch, which was can make or break a meal for me, and it definitely broke it here. It tastes like bottled ranch and not fresh homemade ranch, like our other New Mexico obsession (Dion's) makes. I think if the ranch had been better, or if I had asked for barbecue as another dipping sauce option, the chicken would have been more enjoyable too. Luckily, the fries were delicious on their own and the cherry milkshake continues to be one of my favorite things and I'm so glad Blake's offers it as an alternative the other traditional flavors. The wait for our food seemed like it took awhile but we used the downtime to stretch our legs and take our dogs for a walk. Just don't expect this time be a quick fast food like stop. read more

Blake's is not fast food. Not even by New Mexico standards. However, this one is the best I've been too. They have their own Proprietary Hatch green chili crop now and it is excellent on their burgers. Starts slow, finishes hot! Everything is made after you order it which increase the quality as well. Natural cut fries or seasoned, you can't go wrong. This is NM's rip off version of Whataburger, but I hate to admit it...this was better than any trip to Whataburger that I've had. read more

This place is a classic New Mexico joint! See my video from confirmation. The breakfast burritos are as big as a baby arm holding a Apple. The burger reminds me of a whataburger but when you add hatch green chilies and bacon it kicks it to another level. The Chili!! Just right for fry dippin!! read more

So far, no issues. But I ordered online and it was ready when I arrived. Employees were cleaning front area, so that's good.

Went through the drive through and ordered a hatch chile burger and chili fries. Were told to pull to the back if the building and someone would bring our food out. About 5 other cars waiting. We waited about 10 minutes and didn't see any food come out, just trash to the dumpster. I went in the restaurant and asked for a refund. The burger was done, they had to prepare the fries. Handed to me and I left. Overall, the food was tasty but poor wait time and service read more

We stopped here on the way to phx from Gallup. The breakfast burritos were good. Bacon egg, cheese, and hash browns. We had our dogs with us so we also just got some fried eggs. They enjoyed the fact they were real eggs! This is a good alternative to a mcds breakfast. The people were nice and we were able to go through the order pay process quickly. Food mediocre and priced too high. My chili cheese dog was ok, the dog was Nathan's so it had snap and seasoning but the chili was lacking flavor and texture, definitely not worth over $4. The wife's burger wasn't much to write home about either. read more

Blake's Lotaburger - Chili cheese dog - Burgers Near Me - Gallup, New Mexico

Mom was craving a signature, hand-crafted Hatch Chile Cheeseburger, she didn't get it here but darn close. Prior to coming here I had to do a Yelp search on where to find a decent Hatch Chile Cheeseburger because apparently it's a thing in New Mexico according to her. After zeroing in on a place and it being just down the street from the RV park we were staying at, her and I set off to get these illustrious burgers. Basically Blake's is your typical local run of the mill drive-in kind of place. You walk in, order and then wait for your number to be called. The staff here were as nice as they could muster, tried to crack a joke but it fell short, oh well not everyone thinks I'm the next Comic Superstar, moving on... They made quick work of making the burgers my mom was salivating over and we jetted back to our overnight homestead. I did not partake because they looked like grease sponges to me yet my parents both enjoyed their bounty. Also the fact they did not get sick a few hours later told me this place is solid in so many ways. read more

Fast, clean, friendly, and delicious. What all Blake's should be. Definitely will stop here again.

If you are thinking about picking up a quick bite here off the freeway, don't bother. So fucking slow. Tons of people working, not crowded, but a simple burger combo takes 25 minutes. The manager needs to figure it out read more

I would normally score Blake's higher as when we come to NM we eat there often. However, this one doesn't have a public bathroom and it was a nuisance to drive to McDonalds and then return to pick up the order we placed before being told no go on the bathroom.
