GREAT PLACE FOR ITALIAN FOOD IN GALLUP, NEW MEXICO ================================================ My husband asked the hotel clerk what restaurant she recommended for Italian food and she told him to go to Fratelli's. That was a great recommendation. The eggplant parmesan was excellent. It was thinly sliced and crispy. I would definitely recommend that dish. The tiramisu was really good too. My husband is a tiramisu snob and he loved it. If we ever do another road trip back east and are travelling via Interstate 40 we would definitely go back.

    Nee Mexico Roadrunner Description

First let me say that Angie provided outstanding service! Driving through NM today and needed a supper stop and decided on Fratelli's. So glad we did! The atmosphere is cozy and fun. We sat at the bar since all the tables were full. Drinks arrived quickly and Angie made some really good recommendations all of which sounded good. I always like to order something that I can't get at home, and the New Mexico Roadrunner fit the bill as it is a unique New Mexico flavor. Started with side salad which were ample with a lot of lettuce, a handful of diced tomatoes, and a sprinkling of cheese. I ordered the Roadrunner as a calzone, and when it arrived fresh from the oven I cut into it finding it oozing with cheese and a plentiful supply of toppings. It was a fantastic selection that I thoroughly enjoyed. We also had lobster ravioli as an entree, and it was also very good. Didn't have dessert but saw a couple being served that looked very tasty. And there is an entire Gelato display to choose from as well. Maybe next time. Can't say enough good things about Fratelli's, and I would highly recommend a stop there to anyone local or just passing through looking for a meal!

    Gluten Free New Mexican Linguini

We came here because of good gluten free ratings. We were traveling so we ordered to go. I ordered the New Mexican Linguini (with GF penne). My husband ordered a calzone. My husband brought out the food and we took off. His calzone looked phenomenal (the reason I didn't give just 1 star) and my pasta didn't seem to have any sauce on it. I stirred it, no sauce. I ate the sausage and green chilis out of it but just can't handle plain gluten free pasta. We would have turned around to get it fixed but we had a travel trailer and it would have been too big of a pain to go back. I ate the sausage before I took a pic. I always forget the pics!

So good! We had the spinach artichoke dip, a side salad (ranch was amazing), a 10" pizza, and the chocolate cake. Everything was wonderful! So glad we tried this place out! Restaurant was clean, wait staff were super friendly and attentive. At the front of the restaurant they have a beautiful display of gelato, I didn't have room to try it but it looked amazing.

I figured if they're happy back there then I shouldn't worry about what comes out. I wasn't greeted with chips and salsa which was a surprise, seeing how it's a staple at every Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. So that was a bummer. You would think that nice salty chips and spicy salsa would pair well with a cold beer. It would make you thirsty for another thus adding to their bottom line. It's probably for the best after that salty mess last night at the Garage restaurant in Oklahoma. I still feel like Lot's wife after she looked back at Sodom and Gomorrah. My bubbly server took my order of a beer and a Mexicali hamburger steak (closest thing to meatloaf that I could get). It came to my table piping hot. My steak was covered in chopped green chilis, and was extremely delicious. The beans and rice were standard, so no woop there. Panz Alegra was pretty busy on this Saturday night. You can sit in the bar area, or the regular restaurant. The bar was a hoppin', while where I was seated was pretty tame. Unless you consider the exuberant busboy dancing his way to tables entertaining. He made me a bit nervous. The guy was one misstep away from adding more dishes to my table than I was comfortable with. Ricky Martin he was not. You can't go wrong with Panz. You can get better, but who wants to drive all the way to Las Cruces. Quick Tip: This place boasts American-Mexican-Italian food on its menu. Interesting. I never would have thought that American food would find its way on the menu. Oh, from the outside, the restaurant looks abandoned. One of many relics you can find along Route 66. But don't be deterred. There's people inside, dancing and otherwise.

The service was ok, good in terms of attentiveness, they were swamped and there was a wait to get in anways. Food came out pretty slow but then I am not sure if they are usually completely full. The Chile Releno was reallly good and had a lot of flavor to it. The tacos were pretty basic and the rice was good. My meal came with a large folded flour tortilla with a butter pad that confused me. The menu was expansive and some of the burgers that passed by me looked really good. They touted a sign that said an best authentic mexican food award, but really its tex-mex. Ill go again for sure try more and update.

Pizza hut has never been my immediate choice for quality pizza. However, their new premium ingredients and crust flavors have completely changed my mind. I most recently ordered a creamy garlic sauce, chicken and mushroom pizza with an Italian herb crust... Everything tasted so flavorful and delicious that I've definitely converted from other pizza chains like Dominos or Papa Johns. Also, the carryout deal I opted for was super cost efficient, at a whopping $8.65 for a large 2 topping pizza. The customer service here is average, and the location isn't ideal, but the food is good, so I can't really complain. On any given day however, take into account wether you wish to dine in or carry out, because the place is almost always PACKED. ALSO! My best suggestion to you to avoid incorrect orders, swarms of kids running around, and overall headaches, is to order online and pick up in store. It is quick, easy, and you can pay upon arriving for your order. It doesn't get much better than that.
