I was excited as anybody that we were gonna get our Carl's back after all these years. I came on opening day and it wasn't as crowded as I thought it might be. The service was fine and the menu looked to be like any Carl's Jr. I ordered 2 of the California double cheese burgers ($3.50 ea), tried the fried zucchini ($4.79) and the onion rings ($4.25). Wow, these sides were kinda on the expensive side! After trying the food here at our new Carl's Jr. I gotta say, I think the nostalgia of memories of 11 years ago were better than the reality of what you get here today! Maybe I'm not remembering clearly, but the food here now was not good at all. Heck Wendy's is way better and CHEAPER too, plus they don't charge extra of any added little stuff, like extra lettuce or tomato or even pickles! Here you get nickle and dime on everything! Actually it's more like quarters! I tasted the burger and the bread was way too dense and not soft at all, like it was stale but I don't think it was, it's just the kind of bread they use, and the bun fell all apart in my hands, but get this too .... As I ate the burger, I ran outta meat and was just left with that icky bread! ... see pic. The onion rigs we just OK, but not worth that price! The fried zucchini that I had in my memory of old were just kind dry and not good at all, don't wast your $5 bucks on that! Overall, the food just was not good and definitely not worth the price. Heck, just go to Chili's and get way better and more food for a cheaper price! ... and table service! Poor Carl's Jr. just is not as good as I remembered, but then I don't remember so well either from 11 years ago. Skip this New Carl's Jr.! read more

Carson City's Carls Jr needs some serious help. The staff is apathetic, slow, and there seem to be many execution problems in this store. I don't know who the franchiser is, but he/she needs to spend some serious time training employees and making them responsive to customers. We waited a long time to have the old Carl's Jr replaced, but this store has fallen very short of the mark. read more

Yah I know I go to Carls a lot. Cant help it, since Johnny Rockets left I have to get my jalapeño cheese burger somewhere. I went again the other day to help sooth the Covid Blues. I went thru the drive thru and masked. Anyway ordered my favorite double jalapeño cheese burger. Pros: the correct Jalapeño jack cheese was on it and the jalapeños tasted good. Cons: around the circumference of the bun was hard, I pulled it off. The patties back to being very thin and small around. The fries were not very warm. So 3 out of 4 times I have been there the food not good. I guess it is back to Jack in the Box for fairly consistent fast food burgers. Or go to Tee Jays Corner Cafe for a well with the wait burger. I would say Wendy's but they are a crap shoot also. Knowing me I will try again in a month or so. read more

Tried to set up online account, wouldn't take it! Then they closed due to a fire Have been there on 4 different occasions and still closed. Called the store number which is posted on their website....guess what disconnected!! Just called last week and they say they are now open! Tried to set up a online account again, and guess what? My info "which is CORRECT" DOESN'T MATCH THEIRS!! Who would have thought? Been in the restaurant business for 32yrs and would NEVER treat a customer like that!! I even thought about applying for a management position there, but WHY? My first job was at Carl's Jr when I was 16yr old. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I was so happy when they came back to Carson City...but now, I am so disappointed to have them back!!! Bring back Long John's and get rid of Carl's Jr!!! read more

It was my first visit to the new Carl's Jr in Carson City. It took awhile to get our food so I hoped they were just cooking it . But the fries were cold. The famous Star was cold. The server at the drive thru window kinda tossed our bag of food at us and immediately disappeared. It was a horrible experience and I'll never go back ! read more

Wow! So disappointed after waiting soo long for a Carl's Jr. to open in C.C.. Guess I'll just make the trip to Reno for a Carl's Jr. burger ( this store could / should take a lesson from the folks in Reno (Any store in Reno will do)! The staff really has to learn how to THINK for themselves (same goes for the "Lead person" on weekends). Wish I could have given a much better review but..... Maybe after they work the bugs out things will shape up. Sure hope so. read more

Shame on you! if I wanted to buy hockey pucks, I would go to Big 5 rather than order anything with a biscuit or bun from your so called restaurant. The biscuit from the breakfast sandwich I ordered this morning was literally so old and hard that my co-pilot, my pooch, wouldn't even eat it. Same thing with the bun from the hamburgers I ordered a month ago. Staff members seem tired and are lackadaisical. Not only will I not be returning, ever, but will be taking every family member and friend with me. It is already time for you to leave Carson City. read more

Twice in two days I tried to go there for breakfast at 6:10am and they were closed. They advertise they are open at 6am.

Ordered for mobile pickup. After 45 minutes of standing at the pickup counter, I asked for an update on my order, and they said I was 3rd in line. 15 minutes later, I asked for a refund. They said they could not find my order in their system so they couldn't refund me. I showed them the order number, receipt, and money taken out of my account. They said there was nothing they could do. They could not make my order or refund me because they didn't get the order. Do not go here. Hopefully my credit card company accepts my charge back or I'll be going to small claims court with them. read more

Food orders come out wrong probably because the people making it don't speak English. Or read it.

In my opinion/experience the only burger place better than Carl's Junior is In and Out burger. I grew up with Carl's Jr in So Cal where the business was founded. It's the grilling that makes this burger so good. I'll report back on the fries another time. read more

Starting with the positives. On arrival, I found the dining room to be clean. The men's restroom was also clean and maintained. Onto the not so positive. There were 7 people waiting for their orders as I was standing at the counter cash register, waiting to place my order. All employees behind the counter were working and appeared to be middle-aged adults. A silver haired lady came to the cash register and asked me what number I was? I explained I didn't have a number and I was waiting to place my order. She said, "Well, what do you want?" I found that to be a bit rude, but kept a smile. I asked for a double famous star combo. She replied, "Do you want fries and a drink with that?" I politely answered, "Yes, that's why I would like a combo". Now that I have read some of the negative reviews on this particular restaurant, I understand why. I paid for my meal and was given a receipt and my drink cup. I poured myself some iced tea and waited with my number near the counter. The other people that were waiting for their orders were not happy. One man had been waiting 20 minutes for just a chocolate shake. The silver haired lady brought my meal and said, "Was this supposed to be a large?" I answer that it was just a regular medium size combo. She then said, "You have a large drink, but I guess I will let you keep it." I explained to her this was the cup she gave me and after checking found out it truly was a medium size cup. The burger, a double famous star was standard decent Carl's Jr. quality. However, the fries were lukewarm and had the rubbery consistency like being under a heat lamp for a LONG TIME. NOT Carl's Jr Quality. The franchise owner and general manager of this particular Carl's Jr. need to do some serious training and they need to understand, with employees you get the type of employee you're paying for. I may try this restaurant again. If have the same experience I will NOT return and I will let everyone I know in Carson City about my experiences. The only reason I gave 3 Stars is, the hamburger was of the good Carl's Jr. Quality, and the facility was clean. I PRAY management of this facility gets their act together SOON! If I could leave a 0 star review I would...they have got to be the slowest workers I have ever seen! Went to the drive through at 1220 pm, there were 3 cars ahead of me to order but didn't get my food till 40 min later! The drive through worker not once said hi to me, acknowledged that it was taking so long or even said sorry...didn't even ask what kind of sauce I wanted with the chicken...just stood there playing with a rolled up piece of paper and looked very unhappy to be there, management should be embarrassed by how long it took, I will never go there again! read more

Went here yesterday. I think they reduced the patty and the size. What I remember Carls burger was big and juicy. But not this time

I ordered the new Sour Dough Star. The contents on the app show grilled onion and bacon. They told us they where out of bacon, but they did not put grilled onions on it. We took the sandwiches back up and all the did was add tomatoes and put it in the microwave and gave it back. Which caused the lettuce the be soggy and bread chewy. We finally got a Carl's here and my first experience is a one star. Very, Very disappointing. 30 dollar meals and they're not even woth ten dollars. read more
