Overall, it's a great spot. Caribou is my ultimate go-to for blended teas or my hubbies coffee if we are on the run and looking for something quick. I'm usually up for a stop. However, we've stopped at this location 3 different times now, and the customer service could use some help. Maybe they are understaffed. Ordered a large catering coffee order for a customer breakfast I was hosting. I ordered 24 hours in advance...which I confirmed pick up for 7:15am several times. Got there that morning and the staff knew nothing about it. Beyond frustrating. They made the order but I was an hour late. Also, while I was waiting for my order an older employee was YELLING at her other employees that she "Cannot make craft presses" over and over...just snarky. Super weird and awkward. You make coffee. My visit to the Caribou Coffee in Savage was nothing short of excellent. First of all the place is very cozy and has the atmosphere of a log cabin which allows you to easily unwind after a long day at work. The staff were nothing short of incredible, as they were some of the most friendly and accommodating people I have ever come across in a coffee shop. I felt very welcome and put at ease by their smiles and hospitality. I also felt that Caribou gave me the most value for my money. When you go to a larger coffee chain like Starbucks, you might order a frappuccino and get maybe an inch of coffee with a mile of whipped cream piled into your cup. At Caribou, I was able to sit down and enjoy a medium sized frappuccino for at least 15 minutes before I reached the bottom of my glass. Alongside my coffee, I also tried one of their breakfast sandwiches. I had their sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit and I was not disappointed at all. Unlike most places where their breakfast sandwiches give you that feeling of having a boulder in your stomach, Caribou's sandwich was very light and satisfying. I finished it feeling that I had just the right kind of small breakfast to start my day. Since Caribou Coffee is a smaller, more locally owned business, their locations are a little more difficult to come by. But they are worth going out of your way a little bit for your favorite drink. I would definitely recommend the Savage Caribou Coffee to anyone who needs a place to relax and take a load off, whether you are just starting your day or ending it. read more

I'm a fan of Caribou, but can't believe this just happened... The napkins were gone on the condiment table so I asked two of the workers where I could find a napkin. The first one said "check the bathroom", and the second one said "I don't know, I just work here". I can take a joke, but both turned away and kept working and didn't help me get a napkin. Most workers I meet at other Caribou locations are extremely pleasant, but the responses here were inexcusable. It was just a silly napkin. I will not come back to this location again. read more

This Caribou is typical for the coffee chain. I do prefer Caribou over starbucks - I think the coffee and espresso are superior. This Caribou can be quite busy in the mornings and sometimes it seems the wait can be too long for a drink. read more

Food/Drink: It's a chain coffee shop. I'll stop there and just say it's decent coffee, lattes, etc. Consistency is key and you get that here. Ambiance: Typical setup, configuration. The chairs can get crowded when you're trying to get by so just be a little careful. The drive thru area and the main counter are through the walk way so try to stay out of the way. Might be difficult to setup if you're planning a longer work session as there's not enough decent tables, outlets, etc. Service: Here's where I think each chain can separate themselves from the pack and this one does if you come in side. I've been trying this place over and over and the best, most correct service is when you come inside and order. Do that and you won't go wrong. No upsell, common courtesy and quick service. Overall: Yes, I'll be back. Yes, I'll come inside to order. Yes, I like this place for a good consistent drink on the run. Yes, I'll check my emails quickly and move on. read more

My least favorite Caribou - unfortunate since it is the closest. 2 of the last 3 times I have been here, I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a coffee and they forgot the breakfast sandwich, which I learned only after waiting around and it never arriving. Reordered but no apology either time. The last time the barista filled the mint condition so full it overflowed while he was making it and fingers all sticky. Staff all seems very young and in need of some more supervision and/or customer service training. read more

As a whole, I like Caribou and their product. However, the customer service at this location is lacking. I've found several of the employees to be rude and unhelpful. So much so, that I don't think I'll be back for a long time. I'll drive out of my way to a different Caribou so I don't have to deal with the people who work here anymore. read more
