I normally don't do banks but they had an event to check my travel aura and get a passport cover with my initials so I couldn't pass it up. I stopped by, found out I'm violent so I'm off to Chile . Ty was very polite, not pushy and informative. The space is open to everyone. They have tables, quiet spaces and a place to by a drink or a small bite to eat. I might just go back to banks.

What a cute space! If I was on business staying at a hotel near here, this would be great. You can reserve a private workspace for some uninterrupted quiet time or meeting time. There are 4 rooms in total so look online ahead if you are hoping to get one. At the center of the space is a Cafe, with a variety of drinks and food. Looks like their drinks are very creative, yet simple. I had a turmeric ginger latte that was pretty tasty!! My kids had hot apples cider and cocoa which were also great! This isn't just a Cafe, its also a bank. Grab cash a the ATM, apply or upgrade your card, and more. So, if you're a Capitol One card holder you'll get extra discounts and perks here as well! Give this place a try!

Amazing drinks! I'm astonished that a credit card company offers such great beverages. I've grabbed a free drink with a friend, and came back the next time and paid for one. There's often freebies and fun promos to get a Capitol one card (they haven't worn me down yet). This is a great pick me up in the mall, and excellent place to get work done. It's a great chill spot after a long day at the mall. I've really come to appreciate this spot-it's a gem within the mall!

I don't have a Capitol One card but I love stopping by this coffee shop whenever I'm at the mall because the coffee is so delicious! I've tried their seasonal pumpkin latte as well as their signature honey lavender latte - both iced, both so tasty! They are just the right amount of sweetness and I love the coffee beans used from Verve Coffee Roasters. The nice thing is that if you are a Capitol One or Discover card holder, you get a discount on their drinks. I'm sure it would be a huge perk if you had one because the prices are already pretty decent for coffee without the card. The space is clean and modern looking throughout the whole cafe. I wasn't pressured to get a card or anything like that and I'm always greeted warmly when I enter the store. Sometimes during the weekday, the service is slightly slower but it's not too bad. There are rooms that are available if you want to study or have a meeting or something. I'm not sure if they have to be booked in advance or are first come, first served. But I'm sure it would come in handy!

Stopped here for coffee at MOA! It's an interesting concept and as a capital one card holder you get 50% off so a great deal! I was honestly astonished by the quality of coffee here, I got just a simple latte with oat milk and it was really good! It's a cool space too with rooms you can rent and tons of seating. The staff was great and the ordering process was smooth, quick and easy!

This is hot chocolate, it was fine

It's a cafe at the Mall of America, plus also there are people who want you to ask them about banking services. I just got a Capital One credit card and thought I would pop in to see if there were special privileges. Anyone can come in here; it's not like an airport lounge, but if you are a cardholder (Capital One or Discover), you get 50% off the cafe drinks. They have some options! I just got hot chocolate but they have some different spins on coffee and chai. There are also some savory solids on offer; no discount for cardholders. Friendly baristas of the sort you tend to expect at a cafe. It's clean and spacious and quiet. It's clear that there are people on staff that are there for banking services. No one hassled me or anything, but I think if I wanted to know about those kinds of offerings I would have been warmly invited into that side of their business.

Located at MoA, this Capital One Cafe is open to the public, and you don't need to be a Capital One card holder in order to have access. The menu provides craft coffee (Verve Coffee Roasters), breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and a space to get work done with their free wi-fi and receive banking services. The cafe itself is bright and clean, and the service was friendly. A nice spot to grab a drink and/or some snacks while you're shopping. +open to the public +clean space +friendly service

    Strawberry cold foam matcha

Is this a safe space to say that the Capital One Café is one of my favorite coffee shops? All banking aside, the drinks are delish--genuinely one of my favorite matcha lattes I've ever had (and they even currently have a seasonal version with strawberry cold foam!), and the coffee/espresso is great too. There are plenty of great deals available, for both Capital One customers and not--their MLB Mondays promo offers a free drink on Mondays to all, and they also have a $3.60 drink deal on Fridays for Capital One customers! And, you can always get half off your drink when paying with a Capital One card, which rocks. Another cool customer perk is the nooks--I had no idea about this until I came in the other day and one of the Ambassadors told me about it and showed me how to reserve one--customers are able to book time in 30, 60, 90, or 120 minute increments through the Capital One app, so this is one of the best coffee spots in town if you want to get out of the house to work but still need a semi-private space to take a meeting, which is something I'm always looking for. You're also allowed to bring in outside food if you want something beyond their cafe food offerings, which rocks since the MOA has so many good food options! The staff here are all great, too--the Verve baristas make a mean drink, and the Capital One Ambassadors are SO helpful if you have any questions related to your account or need to do some actual banking. Every time I'm here, I'm always looking for Owen in particular, who is the absolute greatest and taught me more about the perks I get as a Capital One customer than I learned in the entire first year I've had my card.

I visited the Capital One café to redeem a free drink coupon and was pleasantly surprised. The barista was friendly and gave me recommendations for a seasonal drink. I tried the gingerbread latte, which I enjoyed. The space itself was comfortable. Giving three stars instead of four because, personally, having to go in the Mall of America to get to the cafe is a drawback, but that's just me.

One of the Best Banking Experiences Ever! I had an amazing experience with Emo at the Capital One Café. Honestly, one of the best interactions I've ever had at a financial institution. He was super knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to explain so much about financial planning and credit management in a way that actually made sense. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping people and enjoys what he does. We need more people like Emo in banking 10/10 experience

    Gabriel S.

Super nice staff and very good coffee I had a macchiato with a little bit of honey and extra shot of espresso and it was amazing. Had a nice conversation with the lady that made my coffee and we talked about our favorite coffee drinks. Lots of places to sit down and relax and also do some work if you want and you're in the area. If you have their credit card the coffee drinks are half price.

    Aubrie H.

We always see commercials for this so we had to stop in. They person working the front helped us get the MLB code for a free drink on Mondays. We tried a tea and a chai, both were delicious and refreshing.

Go back 7 years ago or so and I arranged for an auto loan through Wells Fargo with a private seller on Car Soup. Went to the WF location in Eden Prairie to finalize the deal. What should have been a half hour (tops) deal ended up being a three hour ordeal. They could not get in contact with the regional office or corporate office or wherever in order to finalize the transaction. While we are waiting and waiting, the Wells Fargo lackey there pulls me aside and solicits me for a personal line of credit. Told him no, not interested. Thought that would be the end of that. Week later or so get a letter from Wells Fargo saying thank you for opening your personal line of credit. WTF? That shady mofo. This was many years before they got completely busted on this bullshit business practice. I knew back then I wanted nothing to do with them anymore. Unfortunately, I had my mortgage with them. Ugh. Transfered all my money to my local credit union, but kept a shell checking account for many years. Finally got rid of the mortgage and decided to be done with them. Went in to the local branch to cash in some coins and close it all out. Get to the front of the line and told they don't have the change counting machines anymore. Are you f'ing kidding me? This is 2017 and you are going backwards. Instead, they make you count and roll your own change before they will give you cash. The gal that I closed out my account with was friendly enough, but insisted on counting and rolling the coins for me. I was like if it is going to be more than five minutes, no. She persisted, and I relented and Wells Fargo wasted another half hour of my life. So glad to be done with them. Bank small and local! Peace!

I hope they stay open! Bank of America dies open and close branches like any business if the area doesn't support the business. They do offer several advantages over a local credit union. They aren't perfect, but they certainly "seem" to try.

I opened an account with a well-regarded local bank in wanting to support smaller institutions -…read morethe fact that it had a solid 5% credit card may have been a factor as well. Found out weeks later that they offered notary services, so I dropped by - and sat through over an hour and a half with the lovely representative who'd opened my banking account with them. As a smaller banking institution, they have less financial insurance backing on anything they guarantee. Notarization is the act of a bank serving as a guarantor, and given that I needed notarization on documents concerning several investment and retirement accounts, I could understand that they needed to cross t's and dot i's to the fullest extent. Unfortunately, what they needed, I couldn't get from my Fidelity app. After an hour and a half of trying to obtain what they requested through various means, we called quits. Recalling my ancient Bank of America credit card that qualified me as a Bank of America customer, I called the Bank of America Financial Center on my way out to the car. They had several notaries on staff, and getting me scheduled for a quick visit on last-minute notice took all of two minutes on the phone. Kudos to the representative who also took the initiative to ask if I needed witnesses provided by the bank to plan ahead for my arrival; I did. Upon entering the banking center, I was guided to an office at the end of the space and immediately noticed a few unique traits about the notary seated there - his attire was on the flashier side of conservative, his gesturing and signature were equally grand, and his overall mannerisms hinted at a person of impatience in general. He wasn't overtly impatient with me. It was more the surprisingly quick glances over my documents, the rushed cadence of his speaking, his obvious impatience with waiting on team members to be witnesses. I get that the end of day was approaching, but his mannerisms seemed more a part of his overall personality to me than time sensitive. I'm amused in writing this line and being reminded that the lovely representative at the aforementioned local bank patiently sat past closing time when she realized I was also interested in opening the 5% credit card after having already opened the bank account for me - I had suggested addressing that matter another day, but I imagine she was happy to secure an additional account at the end of her day. Anyhow, a stark difference in customer service there. I still mentor in interpersonal and business communication, but even guests without communication training would be able to pick up on cues this obvious, even if they may not be able to pinpoint them enough to put what they are witnessing into words directly. A person trained in communication studies may observe these traits without being personally affected, but normal guests are more inclined to feel discomfort due to the sense of impatience that permeates his interactions. Not a good look for a bank that is a national household name. Unfortunately, the notary did only glance over the documents, so he didn't catch a document that needed his notarization. I thought that it was California-specific; it wasn't - but I wasn't the notary, and I was sitting with one. It is a notary's responsibility to their employer to check each and every document presented in any notarization request, especially in considering the weight of responsibility that a notary stamp and signature represents, so I'd have an issue with this oversight whether as a customer or if I was Bank of America management. Thankfully, Fidelity was a mere five minutes away, so I was able to run back to Bank of America to get that corrected and return the documents to Fidelity without losing much more time. Despite this mishap rooted in one team member's impatience, I will always recommend keeping one banking or credit card account open with a big bank. The far larger financial insurance policy means a more convenience experience overall, such as (normally) painless notary services and far less likelihood of hiccups in everyday spending (I've had two minor hiccups with my 5% local bank card already due to frequent traveling patterns they're not used to seeing). It's why I still keep my first credit card minimally active, even if the card incentives are no longer competitive given the rest of my little curated rotation.
