After spending some time shopping at Community Commons, I was ready for a beverage on a Sunday afternoon. I found this Caribou Coffee that was also on the second floor and headed inside. Being at Mall of America, you are never terribly far from a Caribou Coffee. There are six of them. The problem? Trying to figure out which one to check in to on the Yelp app is super confusing. My second check-in attempt was correct. Yay! This cafe is steps away from Radisson Blu Hotel, which is connected to the mall. I would find it both cool and deadly to roll out of bed in the morning and head over to this Caribou Coffee. It's also next to J. Jill, by Nickelodeon Universe. If you spot any one of these three places, you're near this cafe. The downside of this cafe is that it closes at 3 pm on weekdays and 4 pm on weekends. Considering that the stores at this mall tend to stay open between 7 and 9 pm, cutting it short so early is a concern. There was a lineup when I got to this cafe. I stood in line. It did move relatively quickly. I got a friendly woman at the counter. She took down my phone number associated with my perks points. I then ordered a large sparkling peach black tea. I paid with a credit card. I also tipped. Done! As I waited for my drink, I browsed around. I liked the drinkware and mugs at this store. There were plenty of snacks that looked yummy and intriguing. My drink didn't take long to be prepared. I thanked the woman when I got my drink in a Christmas-themed cup and looked for a place to sit. I oddly didn't feel cozy sitting on padded stools without any back support. Instead, there were comfy couch chairs in front of this store, so I sat there and enjoyed my drink. I loved my drink. It was perfect and fizzy. I actually sat in this cozy chair for an hour, casually sipping on my drink and figuring out which stores to shop at next. My experience was positive at this cafe. Located in the Mall of America, I do believe there are several of these inside this gargantuan mall, this is a pretty good coffee shop although I have to say I think Tim Hortons is better. It's very popular all over the great lakes and is much better than Starbucks - and I'm always happy to see that Caribou is thriving and I've noticed perhaps it's doing better than Starbucks in this region. read more

I came here after a very long walk around the mall. I was looking for a place to sit down and relax, and I found just that. This cafe had a place to sit down and even had some nice plush couches on top of having normal cafe tables and a small beverage bar. There was a bigger section toward the back of the cafe, like a dining area which was interesting and was able to be reserved for larger parties or meeting and conferences. I ordered an iced chai latte and the drink was very flavorful. I usually order hot chai lattes from Caribou, so I was impressed by their iced version. There was not too much cinnamon overpowering the tea and not completely masked by milk. Despite the horrible reviews on here, this coffee shop was perfectly fine. Service was good and very fast! The staff was welcoming and friendly and also moved quickly to accommodate the line. The store was clean and the tables were frequently bussed and wiped down by the staff so new customers could sit down. This was definitely a perfect stop to rest up and have a nice cold drink away from the crowds by the food court. read more

TLDR: Great drinks and space, food is a NO. Service leaves something to be desired. Honestly, this is a great location in the Mall of America. It's located in the edge of the food court and is a good place to take a break in the midst of your shopping. There's some nice tables to the side that are usually open, and it doesn't get too crowded. The drinks are also pretty good, made to order to the quality you can expect from caribou. But that's where the good things stop. It really is a hit or miss when it comes to service here. We came here for a late breakfast one day and ordered two breakfast sandwiches each priced at just under $3. For a $3 breakfast sandwich, I expected to at least have some substance behind it. When we ordered it, the cashier relayed it to another worker to start warming them up. While we tried to order our drinks, the cashier turned around 3 separate times while we were mid sentence to talk to the other workers. We had to repeat our order several times on top of that. While we waited for our food, the drinks were made quickly. They almost forgot to give us one of our sandwiches. There was about 5 workers here, but we waited 5-10 minutes for our breakfast sandwiches to be heated up. Why so many workers and so little efficiency? The most disappointing part was that the sandwiches were literally two bites. We had to wait and they were not even enough to curb our hunger to snack. Word to the wise, if you come here order the drinks but skip the food. The pastries look dry and like they've been out for a few days. Caribou, please fix this location as it is tarnishing your reputation. read more

We walk in on a Sunday afternoon and I think to myself, "This has to be the best Caribou in the mall." There was literally no one else in the store, despite the mall being super busy. Needless to say, I was wrong. The girlfriend orders her drink, a sparkling tea and we wait for more than five minutes while watching the five people who came in after us get their drinks made (and remade, for one fellow patron). Finally, we decide to inquire about the delayed beverage. The guys looks up at his monitor and asks "are you sure you actually ordered something?" Are you fucking kidding me? I know it's been a long time now since you took our money, but it wasn't *that* long ago. The other guy looks around for a bit and says "it looks like we're out of that. Do you want something else?" So the girlfriend picks a different drink. The other guy says he can make it. And he does. Incorrectly. This whole stop was a fail. read more

This was a terrible experience. The girl behind the counter was the worst. She snapped at my 12 yr old daughter for saying "Frappuccino." She was extremely rude and disinterested in customer service. The Caribou Coffee at S226 is terrible and deserves NO stars. The staff display little to no customer service skills and frequently get orders wrong. Today I ordered a drink straight from the menu with a listed price of $3.59. The cashier rang the drink incorrectly as $3.89. When I pointed out the discrepancy, they said they couldn't change it and tried to explain to me that the difference was "tax," which is wasn't because when they actually totaled the purchase it came to $4.17. I refused to be overcharged, and I don't think the staff actually understood what the issue was. I will never return to this location. I went up one floor to the S380 location instead; the staff were friendlier, more competent, and charged the correct price. When I mentioned the awful experience I had at S226, the staff at S380 said they had heard similar stories from other customers. Save yourself the trouble and just head to third floor. read more

Good place for a quick cup of coffee. Drive through was pretty long so I walked in. They had a new employee and was in training, but really out going guy. He apologized for his mistakes and was really humble. Their Wi-Fi is pretty good. I sat next to a girl who was able to play overwatch online. read more

Save your self the hassle and go else where she clearly has no customer service at all, don't know what they are doing as our drinks where definitely watered down or had been made before hand and left in the fridge along with the whip cream.. this place definitely deserves 0 stars read more
