From the casual stroll over to ask if they can take your plate to remembering the small details from your last order, this Dunn Brothers location has several employees who make it an establishment that you want to return to again and again. The breakfast sandwiches and pastries are delicious, made to order, fresh and consistent time after time. My drink order doesn't vary much and the staff has done a great job making it consistent each time and remembering the small details around my order. The WiFi coverage is dependable and while it can be busy at times, I can usually find a spot to work or enjoy breakfast or a mid-day cup of tea. They've done a good job of hiring a crew, providing good food and enough hometown ambiance to make this the choice coffee shop in Stillwater. read more

Decided to check this place out instead of my usual stop at caribou (located right across the street) I used to be a barista at a local coffee shop so wanted to support a local spot. They were out of a raspberry tart so I went for the coffee cake instead. Went through the drive thru and the first thing they asked from me was if I wanted to leave a tip... no hello or hi. The coffee cake slice was cold, dry, and very messy. The girl at the window did not give an option to warm the bread. Customer service is not that great and neither is their product. I wouldn't recommend again, I'll be sticking to caribou. read more

I would love to give 4 stars but the chai latte (dirty) that I ordered was rather thick and more like a chilled espresso than a chai. I couldn't taste any spice in the drink at all. I also ordered an egg and cheese sandwich on an english muffin. It was a little messy but piping hot and tasty. Staff seemed friendly enough and the atmosphere was nice with plenty of comfy chairs and seating. Less loud than a Caribou or Starbucks but plenty bustling. read more

This is literally the only drive thru that ever asks to tip. They pour the drink and grab a cold blueberry muffin from the case, and the first thing the girl at the window asks is, "Do you want to tip?" I was too surprised and said, "Um, sure" and she said, "Well how much?" I gave $2 tip and immediately regretted it. I wonder how much they make from asking every drive thru customer how much they want to tip, because most people are too caught off guard to blatantly say no. Dunn Bros should pay their employees more to encourage them to not pressure the customer into tipping for a DRIVE THRU! Additionally, the same drink at Starbucks is around $3 cheaper and tastes much better. I didn't even finish my drink from Dunn Bros, it was so bitter. I don't plan to ever return. read more

I'd give a -star review if possible. I'm a regular customer at this location, as I live locally. But between the horrific wait time and the turn over I'll pass this one by & go to Roseville. My last experience was terrible. I don't mind waiting for my drink if I know you're busy. I stopped in @ 3pm and was the ONLY customer in the drive-thru. Still waited 8 minutes for my Caramel Latte... Upon giving me my beverage the Batista asks "you want your change"? My first thought was to bite my tongue, but I didn't. I explained how rude it was to ask such a question. Of course I'd like my change back. If I decide to give you a gratuity it'll be of my own free will. She didn't like the advice as she rolled her eyes & slammed the window on me. But the real kicker is that as I pulled off and took a sip of my $5.00 coffee I realized its not what I ordered. FML!!! If I wasn't already late I'd go back & get a refund. But they'd probably get that wrong as well. Management is apparently lacking @ this location! read more

I was in need of a caffeine fix while out with some friends and they suggested we stop for a good cup of java. I decided to try the maple latte with soy milk and it was pretty good. Not my favorite, but certainly enjoyable enough. The coffee shop itself is pretty darn cute and there were lots of people working while enjoying their coffee. The staff were very personable and enjoyable. One of the barista's (she had beautiful dreads) spent a solid 5 minutes talking to me about a variety of subjects ranging from anime, to my clothes, to her hair, and more. She was so damn precious. My friend kept prompting me to talk to her as she could tell I was enamored. Anywho, enough about that. This shop is really cute with good customer service and the coffee is delicious! My friend and I went to get a coffee and some ham and egg and cheese croissants, when we ordered the girl asked me "what kind of croissants again?" So I repeat myself. Then we park to go eat and open the bag, there's some fucking strudels in the bag. Definitely not what we asked for, then I pull back into the drive through and tell her this isn't what I ordered, then she tells me they don't even have ham? So we ended up getting bacon but clearly this girl wasn't even listening while taking my order. Then it took 10 minutes just to make the two damn croissants, and they're burnt and crunchy, what a fuckin waste, shitty ass service. read more

If you order your coffee as "not so hot", expect it to be very hot. Then when you let them know it's too hot, be prepared for them to offer you some ice to water it down. This, along with the drink I order rarely tasting the same, is consistently a problem at this location. So disappointing. read more

I pick this place because it has a drive thru and I'm in a hurry. I like the coffee as well however I notice a huge turn-over in staff. It seems like every time I order they re-ask me things I order. I'll say "I'll have a medium vanilla latte with whip cream and that will be all." They say "A vanilla latte?" yes "what size?" medium (as I said). Do you need anything else? (no already said that) Plus they NEVER give you your total until you're at the window and 9 times out of 10 they forget the whip cream. It shouldn't be that hard to find competent people to run a coffee shop drive thru window. It's almost comical. I still go back though like I said I enjoy their coffee. read more

Staff during the morning drive-thru consistently forget to add creamer to coffee, despite even saying, "Here's your dark roast with cream" as they hand it to me. I go through the drive-thru for a reason and it's incredibly inconvenient to pop off the lid to my coffee to make sure there's cream in there. It's even worse to arrive at work and have a coffee that's incorrectly made. It happened again this morning, and when I called to talk to a manager/supervisor, I was told that the manager (Hannah) would be in at noon tomorrow. Perhaps that's part of the problem--not having a shift supervisor or manager on duty. read more
