After working from my hotel room on a Tuesday, I left to get some fresh air. I had a couple of hours to spare before my dinner reservation and decided to try a different Caribou Coffee location. I did a search and found this one in Richfield. It has a drive-thru. It's fairly narrow. If you drive a pickup truck, you may want to consider parking it and walking into the cafe. I was driving a Jeep rental and it was fine. Drive with caution. I had a nice man take my order. I provided my cell number associated with my perks. I ordered a large sparkling cherry limeade. I then proceeded to the pickup window. Normally, Caribou Coffee stores have their payment machines attached to long sticks at drive-thrus. Each one is different. I had a horrible experience at the closest one in Bloomington to the hotel where I was staying. The man did not have the machine on a stick and held the machine for dear life, expecting me to use it without prying it from his hands, dead or alive.. At first, I thought that I'd get the same experience here when I didn't get the long stick with the payment machine. Instead, the man took my credit card and swiped it. He didn't ask whether I wanted to tip. He said that he entered zero as the tip. I was a bit disappointed. I like to tip and I wanted to. Ugh! He gave back my credit card and handed my drink over. I was happy. I wished him a great evening and drove over to a parking spot to take a sip. I love every sparking tea flavour that Caribou Coffee offers. However, I may love the cherry limeade slightly more than the rest these days. I love the sweet-tart combination of cherries and limes. The carbonation made my day after spending time training two new folks joining my team. It was a nice spot to get a drink. I will return and enter the cafe. Perhaps I will be able to tip and avoid the narrow drive-thru by using my legs. What a statement! (434)

Im not usually someone who makes reviews on any company because it makes a difference any individual time or day. However I couldn't make myself not write a comment on a sweet girl who has helped me the last few times. Carribu has its ups and downs as far as service is concernered, but Emily at Lyndale and west 66th has been so extremely sweet and helpful. They we're slammed this morning and somehow Emily was calm and charismatic as far as my order was concerned. She handled me and all the other customers early this morning with an extremely nice and helpful attitude as well as got my sometimes difficult order down to the letter. -David from Uptown Minneapolis.

This is how my coffee was given to me. Half full!

This location is so bad. I wish it would close. They shove their tip stick so far into your car that they almost touch you with it. It makes me not want to tip them at all. They are rude and they always screw up your drinks! I have boycotted this location for a while but gave it another try. I wish this location would close and that they would put something else there. That caribou is a waste and it's terrible. Don't go.

Just stopped by for a bagel. Very convenient being located right off lyndale, there is also a drive up window. Also if you're in the mood for some coffee, at this location Einstein Bagels and Caribou are one in the same. They have a nice lounge area with fire place as well.

This place has the most friendly staff of any Caribou I've been to in a long time. Not to mention the food always looks fantastic and taste great. The drinks are made perfectly. Compared to other Caribou's everyone here is a top professional. Get me take a little longer to get food sometimes, but it's worth the wait for such good quality.

The selection is large, and they are contantly replenishing the shelves with fresh-baked goods. A lot of those are on the pricey side, which might contribute to a bougie reputation for this chain. But the items on the drink menu are much more reasonable. I had a matcha lemonade that was just okay; I don't think I'd order it again because you can't really mix it the way they serve it to you. But they have a whole bunch of interesting coffee and tea options. I also had a hot item that was pretty good. They have a heater that looks like something from a convenience store, and there are hot offerings in there like the flatbread-esque thing I had. It did actually taste quite good, but I think if they are serious about hot items they could manage a better presentation. There are compelling selections in that little box. The pastries I bought were absolutely delicious. Again kind of pricey, but the quality is immediately noticeable and I will 100% be back for some of those things. And I'll probably try some coffees & teas in the future.

I would recommend the matcha. They are usually really busy so they aren't too friendly but they keep things moving. They do take the time to wrap up your pastries for you. I usually just grab my stuff to go since seating is limited when it's busy. It's a great spot to stop in for a sweet treat or quick snack throughout the day.

The croffles are so unique and tasty too. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I got the ube and the biscoff croffle. The biscoff is definitely my fav! Mine weren't too difficult to cut with their plastic fork and knives. I wish the napkins were a bit bigger but that isn't too big of a deal. I went on a weekday in the morning and found parking in the back lot. I also ordered from my car in the lot online and by the time I went inside and sat down, everything was ready! We only had a few minutes to spare and thought, why not, let's treat ourselves. Best decision. The banana bread was hands down the best I've EVER had. I'm not exaggerating when I say I now feel like I need this in my life at least once a week....which is slightly dangerous. The space itself was busy, but there was still plenty of seating, and so many pastries and drinks to choose from. We had someone meeting us who was a little worried about parking, but there's a separate entrance (away from the mall) and plenty of spots, which makes it super easy. I'll be honest, the service didn't wow me, but the quality of the food more than made up for it, so it's still a five star experience in my book. Just something to know going in. Such a simple stop, and one we won't forget. It was the perfect moment before a really big one for us.

First things first--the vibe is chef's kiss if you're into cozy, low-key, intentional spaces. It's quaint without trying too hard, and it doesn't have that loud, chaotic coffee shop energy. I was actually able to focus, which says a lot. Now what really sets this place apart? It's tucked inside Zawadi Center, and that matters. This isn't just a grab-your-drink-and-go type of café. You're surrounded by culture, community, and a space that feels like it means something. Between the event space, the restaurant, and the overall energy, it feels layered... like you accidentally found a hidden gem that locals want to keep to themselves. The refresher? Solid. Did what it needed to do. No complaints there. If I had to give a little Yelp Elite honesty: seating can be a bit limited depending on timing, and if you're someone who needs complete silence, this might not be your spot when it gets busier. It's more "focused but alive" than "library quiet." Overall, this is the kind of place you come to reset, get a little inspired, and maybe romanticize your life for a couple hours. Will I be back? It's always been a place where we feel comfortable gathering, sharing food, and honoring tradition. I arrived around 10:00 a.m. to help arrange tables as people came and went during the whole experience. Everything was going well until, suddenly, a staff member approached our table without greeting or explanation and told us, "You have to leave now." Naturally, I asked why, and he replied, "We need your tables... , " Is there a time limit? I asked, Yes, when we are busy," then walked away. As you can imagine, the group was quite shocked. The interaction felt abrupt and out of character with the hospitality we've come to associate with the restaurant. I did my best to calm everyone and encourage them to continue enjoying their time, but the moment left a lasting impression. I want to be clear--this is not about assigning blame or raising concerns about bias. Our group was diverse, and I believe the issue was more about how the situation was handled than anything else.
