I kicked off my trip to the infamous Mall of America by getting a cup of Caribou Coffee. Specially, I ordered a medium iced caramel high rise. Ughhhh, it was delicious. Can we please get Caribou locations in Nevada? Autumn took my order and was super sweet and patient with me, as it was a bit hard to hear each other through muffled mask speak and dividers. My drink came out reasonably quickly, especially since this location was so busy. I hope I'll be able to stop at another Caribou location before heading home!

    A gross drink

I walked into this establishment and was beyond disgusted by what I experienced. First off the floor was a lubricated mess. The lady in front of me slipped with her baby. What a place. I get my order taken and the barista doesn't even know the drink we ordered and did not know what the reward system was of the place she works at. Talk about unbelievable. Then the barista proceeded to tell me that the drinks I ordered were sold out even after I payed. So, I gave him two alternatives and he comes back a second time to tell me THEY WERE OUT OF THAT FLAVOR TOO. Who am I if not a reasonable person. Then the drinks come and they were not up to expectations even after all of the turmoil I had to go through to get them. Keep in mind the barista looked like a child with a bad haircut. I walked away knowing I will never return to this heinous place.

Locally roasted coffee beans! Makes the perfect cup of coffee!

I love caribou coffee. We used to have several locations in chicago but for some reason they left the chicago market! I miss this place so I frequent them when I am in MN or WI. I don't drink sugary drinks anymore but I love the option of white chocolate, milk chocolate or dark chocolate. If you want to indulge try the campfire mocha! Today I had a coffee made with locally roasted beans! I may have to bring some back home with me.

Caribou has gone from my A list to no better than C over the past few years. I am a mocha guy, and the conversion to how picking what kind of chocolate you want is producing a sub par mocha. Blech. I frequent this location at the MOA as kid #1 usually needs some sort of reward by the time we're at this point of or shopping trip (or it has been the carrot to garner patience). Staff are okay, its fine, I guess. But "meh" says it well.

This is apparently a cappuccino - more like a half filled cup of Americano

We ordered a Small Cappuccino with an extra shot, and the guy charged us about $8. I told him that it couldn't be that much (pointing at the board above him). He grunted a few unintelligible words and walked away from the cash register. I didn't have the energy to argue with him and left it alone. I walked over to pick up my drink and the guy handed me 2 small cappuccinos as he called it. What I got was absolutely not a cappuccino (see photo) and it was at best an Americano that filled half my cup. Asked the guy for an actual cappuccino with an extra shot like I originally ordered and he just shrugged and said, "well there's two here". Awful! Absolutely awful

Stood in long line only to be told I couldn't have the medium/dark roast advertised on the board because "they were out." The staff person offered me the light roast, turned to the urn, and turned back to tell me it would be two-three minutes as he had to make it. I waited and got the first pourings as the machine started to make the coffee. I sat down to connect to the internet and found the signal strength wasn't strong enough to connect to my bank website or my email. I then took my first sips and discovered I had a medium cup of bad coffee that tested weird like some one had poured off the first run the grounds from an urn percolator which is of course what the "barista" did.

Staff was great. First time here, although have enjoyed their coffee in my Krups. I like mochas - hot, iced, freddo'd. What was great about Caribou's is the choice of chocolate in your coffee. Way cool.

Hot or cold it it's all good at Caribou.

Caribou Coffee has always been one of my favorites. Nice atmosphere, good strong coffee, great selection of flavors and styles. The fact that it is in the Mall of America makes it even better.

This coffee was vile. It tasted like burnt tobacco. Five sugars added and it was still undrinkable. I had to ask for my money back.

I used to live in the area and when the small coffee shop opened I was so exited to have that in our community and was happy to support them - even if some coffee beverages were top dollar. I was in the area today, and decided to stop in since I no longer live in the area and wanted to enjoy a good brew. Unfortunately, the experience I had left me leaving with a bitter taste in my mouth - and it wasn't from the coffee. I thought it goes without saying, but when a customer greets you, you should greet them back, not just stare. It would be even better if your staff would greet each customer first - make them feel welcome. Maybe I'm a millennial channeling boomer energy, but for years I'm noticing the customer service disappearing from a lot of businesses. I love that connection, but I'm understanding that some people see only a paycheck and skid by with minimal customer service and that is the new way. I don't plan to visit this establishment again. I wish the barista with star tattoos would have put in enough customer service energy that she did with her impeccable makeup.

First things first--the vibe is chef's kiss if you're into cozy, low-key, intentional spaces. It's quaint without trying too hard, and it doesn't have that loud, chaotic coffee shop energy. I was actually able to focus, which says a lot. Now what really sets this place apart? It's tucked inside Zawadi Center, and that matters. This isn't just a grab-your-drink-and-go type of café. You're surrounded by culture, community, and a space that feels like it means something. Between the event space, the restaurant, and the overall energy, it feels layered... like you accidentally found a hidden gem that locals want to keep to themselves. The refresher? Solid. Did what it needed to do. No complaints there. If I had to give a little Yelp Elite honesty: seating can be a bit limited depending on timing, and if you're someone who needs complete silence, this might not be your spot when it gets busier. It's more "focused but alive" than "library quiet." Overall, this is the kind of place you come to reset, get a little inspired, and maybe romanticize your life for a couple hours. Will I be back? Being at Mall of America, you are never terribly far from a Caribou Coffee. There are six of them. The problem? Trying to figure out which one to check in to on the Yelp app is super confusing. My second check-in attempt was correct. Yay! This cafe is steps away from Radisson Blu Hotel, which is connected to the mall. I would find it both cool and deadly to roll out of bed in the morning and head over to this Caribou Coffee. It's also next to J. Jill, by Nickelodeon Universe. If you spot any one of these three places, you're near this cafe. The downside of this cafe is that it closes at 3 pm on weekdays and 4 pm on weekends. Considering that the stores at this mall tend to stay open between 7 and 9 pm, cutting it short so early is a concern. There was a lineup when I got to this cafe. I stood in line. It did move relatively quickly. I got a friendly woman at the counter. She took down my phone number associated with my perks points. I then ordered a large sparkling peach black tea. I paid with a credit card. I also tipped. Done! As I waited for my drink, I browsed around. I liked the drinkware and mugs at this store. There were plenty of snacks that looked yummy and intriguing. My drink didn't take long to be prepared. I thanked the woman when I got my drink in a Christmas-themed cup and looked for a place to sit. I oddly didn't feel cozy sitting on padded stools without any back support. Instead, there were comfy couch chairs in front of this store, so I sat there and enjoyed my drink. I loved my drink. It was perfect and fizzy. I actually sat in this cozy chair for an hour, casually sipping on my drink and figuring out which stores to shop at next. My experience was positive at this cafe. I'd return whenever I'm on the second floor and in this part of the mall. (469)
