I had been craving a beef patti for a while before coming to this location to pick up food for my mother. I got a beef patti while the patti was delicious i was really disturbed of the amount of meat filling inside barley any if i had to gauge it, to me it was about maybe 2 large tablespoons of meat filling, and that's being generous. especially for the price point. read more

Customer service is great! Ordering was easy. Food came out very quick... Oxtail were flavorful and tender. Rice and pea were very good.. cabbage was decent (never had veggies inside the cabbage before)... beef patty's were average .. only dislike was the chicken patty (either the chicken dissolved or very little chicken was used)... I would definitely go back. read more

If you're looking for a tasty Caribbean meal on the go, then Caribbean Grill is sure to provide your taste buds with a cool treat. The service is fast, the meals are hot and ready to eat. Disclaimer: this review is solely based on a takeout order. So, the first few words that immediately comes to mind are massive portions and affordable. For my introductory meal to Caribbean Grill, I decided on the Goat Roti. In my opinion, the Goat Roti was basically two servings, which was approximately $15 (a win). As it relates to taste, for me, I was expecting a little bit my flavoring and succulent-ness (lol I know it's not a word) of the goat with more potatoes on the inside of the roti. But overall, it was okay. I will definitely be open to trying another dish (when I am in the area) to make another assessment of the Caribbean Grill. read more

Yall can go ahead and run to this here spot. Actually friendly/kind service (don't usually find that for Caribbean food spots lol) and a nice clean open space. That goat roti is something I would come back for weekly! That and their beef patties - so good! Beef and chicken patties both have just a little spice so if you don't like a little kick then don't get it. I thought it was mild but noticeable. Both patties were a great size and meat to bread ratio. Perfect snack on the go. I found the oxtail to be sweeter than I would go for but was cooked well. The goat had great flavor and the roti was cooked perfectly. I'll be back whenever I'm back that way read more

If you're craving bold, authentic Jamaican flavors, Caribbean Grill on Marlboro Pike delivers the real deal. I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas, cocoa bread, and a beef pattie--and honestly, everything was spot on. The jerk chicken had that perfect balance of smoky heat and spice, the rice and peas were flavorful and fluffy, and the cocoa bread was soft and just slightly sweet--great for balancing the heat. The beef pattie? Flaky, rich, and satisfying. Service was quick and no-nonsense--just how you want it when you're there for the food. The space itself isn't much to look at, but it's clear they let the cooking do the talking. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. Caribbean Grill brings island flavor with no compromises. Highly recommend. read more

The 1 star is for the portion. This was very disappointing. The amount of unseasoned sauce on this chicken you would think the chicken wouldn't be dry. Nope, dry, a little hard and random bones in the sauce. The sauce barely had flavor. The rice is just ok and the cabbage eh. read more

I can always appreciate the good authentic Jamaican cuisine that's served up here. I used to indulge in the lunchtime buffet prior to the pandemic since it was nearby to my place of employment. So this place is in District Heights. It's ran with a crew of two. I love some Jamaican food so I stopped in. The lady was super nice and sweet. The Jamaican ma cooking was also nice. The only down fall was it was dirty in the eating area. My food had lint in it so I just threw it away. We ordered a Jerk Chicken Sandwich, wings, coco bread, and a vegetable stir fry. I want to give them a better review but the lint did it for me. The bread is freshly cooked there so it was soggy immediately after ordering. There was just too much ranch. Probably wouldn't come back unless someone I knew was in a dire craving for this. read more

Okay, I can be very hard to please when it comes to Jamaican food. The food looked good and the wait time wasn't long. The price was fair ($10 for small jerk wing meal) However the taste was bony that authentic taste of great Jamaican food. For example the rice and peas was very bland, and the bbq jerk wings just tasted like spicy bbq baked chicken.... Will I visit again? Maybe. I just wish the flavor would stand out. read more

This was my first time here at this restaurant. I ordered takeout thru the Yelp app and my food was ready by the time that was estimated. I ordered the curry goat and oxtail combination platter with a beef patty as an appetizer. First, my oxtail and curry goat was so flavorful, the rice was perfect and the cabbage nice and crunchy the way I like it. Everything flowed together nicely and was seasoned perfectly. Next, the beef patty. Whew. I was not expecting how spicy it was but it was soooo good. I wish I had gotten 2 or 3 for later. It was crispy and hot. A nice size also. Overall, I would definitely come here again. read more

Disappointing. I could taste the sugar in the oxtail. I've lived in Jamaica and oxtail isn't supposed to taste like this.

The food had absolutely no flavor the chicken was dryas hell I'll pass on this I can honestly say money was not well spent there

The food at Carribean Grill is really good. The first time meal I tried at this location was the red snapper, it was delicious. Warning, you will be served the fish with the head and bones, I think it adds to the flavor. From then on I was hooked. This past summer I was planning a graduation party, all the restaurants I wanted to cater were very expensive. My dad actually recommended I stop here, I couldn't believe I didn't even think of them in the first place. The staff is really nice and helpful, I asked a ton of questions about the catering menu. One of the staff recommended I order a full tray of oxtail ($180) originally I was only going to order a half tray ($90) for my graduation party. She said most people don't realize they like them until they try them. I am so glad I listen to her because that was the first thing my guest finished at my party. In total, I spent about $600 on the food. Which was half of what most restaurants were quoting me. This feed about 50-60 people and there was enough food for my friends and family to have left overs. My order included a full tray of oxtails, full tray of curry chicken, full tray of jerk wings (these wings are very spicy), half tray of snapper, half tray of cabbage, full tray of rice and peas, and a half tray of ackee & saltfish. I suggest only ordering a half tray on rice and beans, a full tray was too much. I have ordered a few trays of oxtail since my graduation party, my family loves it! I highly suggest ordering take out or catering your next event here. You have to pay for your food once you place the order in person. They will not take any orders until you do so. They will not deliver food to your house, you will have to pick it up. Also during the holidays, they do offer jerk turkeys for about $60. They looked so good I may order one for Christmas. read more

Ordered the jerk wings with a small amount of rice&peas and side salad. Wings were spicy...just right. The rice and peas were very dry. I should of asked them to put oxtail sauce on them. But anyhow...it wasn't the worse Jamaican meal that I have had. Judge for yourselves. read more

I was in the mood for Caribbean food, and this place delivered to my area on Uber eats, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Brown Stew Snapper, which comes with rice and peas and veggies, with a side of fried plantains. They also have Calypso lemonades available, if anyone is a fan. The food was packaged well, but that's about all they did right. The food is pretty bland, lacking any of the strong, rich flavors that I'm used to when eating Caribbean food. The fried plantains were NOT ripe. The sauce on the snapper was congealed when I opened the container, which leads me to believe it has been sitting out for awhile and reheated when I ordered it. I won't be ordering from here again unless I'm desperate. read more

This was my 2nd time eating at Caribbean Grill. My 1st experience 5 Stars, the food was great and I knew that I would return. However, my Sunday, August 21, 2021, experience, who was this Caribbean Grill? Were they purchased by someone else? Did they order they wrong meat and sold that meat instead of informing customers of the details? Did the run out of goat, and sold beef? I purchased one curry goat and one combo meal that included curry goat and oxtails. But the problem was the goat wasn't goat but beef. Although the beef was tender and well seasoned, it was not goat. If I wanted beef, I could have selected other restaurants that specialized in beef meals. But I wanted Jamaican food, and selected Caribbean Grill. Truly disappointed with the 2nd experience. I felted bamboozled, because they knew they didn't have goat, but sold beef instead and didn't offer me a choice to decide. They made that decision for me, and that was not cool! read more

The restaurant does not do any verification with the person picking up the order and their own system (don't label orders correctly). So essentially, people can just walk in and pick up to-go orders. They delivered the wrong order (and a type of food that I don't eat), blamed it on the driver that picked up the order, would not take a new order after 8pm, and would not give a refund. They need to do better with Uber Eats. Do with that information as you will. read more

I will be back for their all-you-can-eat buffet during the week from 11-3 I believe or somewhere between those hours. Only thing is that it is all chicken, no fish, beef, goat, shrimp or pork, but does include chicken done all types of ways. I ordered the Calaloo with Salt Fish and a Goat Roti to go for later and was pleasantly surprised by the taste of both dishes. I wasn't expecting as much goat because I know that the roti includes potato and they goat to potato ratio was about 3:1 and no complaints from me. This was only my second time ever having Calaloo and the Jamaican way of cooking it tastes very similar to the Sierra Leone way of cooking. The customer service was Top Notch from the greeting when i walked in to my departure. I loved that the staff was swayinh with the music and they worked their magic to get you plate ready! The food is pretty good I cannot lie. I just want to add I was disgusted by the fact that the plantain came in grease so I couldn't eat it and the ones I did finish had to be wiped down with napkins! Also, the jerk sandwich didn't have enough chicken in it, must've been a bad day. The restaurant has a nice feel and the buffet looks pretty good as well and it's quite cheap during the lunch hour. Can't beat that. The woman that took my order was pleasant and my food was packed very neat and drink was cold. So, of course I came back here, and this time I tried the jerk chicken...ok, Caribbean grill..I see you're trying to make me a regular! The jerk chicken was peppery hot, flavorful, and moist. Carribean grill....I love the vibe and the staff in this place. I just wish it translated to the jerk chicken. I got jerk bbq wings and first off the coloring is wayyyyy off, my wings are pink. Ask yourself In life have u ever eaten pink bbq jerk wings....they were cooked just not appetizing. But that being said the sauce wasn't good at all. For the life of me I can't see why Jamaicans, in this area, can't get jerk right. Not just them it's not one authentic jamaican restaurant that sells good jerk chicken since sweet mangos on Georgia Ave. It's sad...I can't get good jerk in the DMV unless I make it myself from scratch. The woman that took my order was nice which is rare for a Jamaican spot‍. The food was terrible. If this is how Jamaican food is supposed to taste then I will take Jamaica off my travel list. I ordered jerk bbq wings with rice and peas, cabbage and ox tail sauce on top. As far as presentation it was poor. My food looked like a bunch of slop. As far as the taste it was terrible.
