I can not express how great it is to deal with everyone at Car Kings. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable and pleasure to deal with. The work is impeccable and the prices are reasonable (especially in today's climate). I've had all my cars (up to 5 now) worked on there - from a transmission change (still going), to a royal pain in the...tow hitch installed. I'm editing my review, these guys are scammers and charge way above the customary rate. My TPMS was never on they replaced it for they found it was cracked, now 2 months later its on. Went back today and the service I received was disgusting. John, was so unprofessional and his demeanor was beyond disgusting. Please do your self a favor don't come here. Mind you, they had my car and were asking for a good review practically before they released my car. I did give them the review because I was scared for what they would do to my car while in their posession. I would not recommend. First of all, the parking is a nightmare. If you have just started driving like myself, the lot is difficult to navigate. I tried to bring in my car for an inspection, and I did not have a chance to put in the new plates yet. The person told me it would immediately fail inspection, and when asked if they could put the plates on the vehicle, told me they cannot do it. Now, I'm sure there was a legal reason as to why this is, but I wouldn't know because the employee did not give me any explanation on this issue or provide any helpful/constructive suggestions or advice on the issue. Maybe the employee was angry because I couldn't move my car out of the way fast enough when he asked. The interaction was unprofessional. read more

Their service has been fast and very professional both times. John, the owner, is great and very personable. I have been to Car Kings twice now and they are definitely my new go-to for VW service. The first time I went to get my battery replaced and did not get the usual scamming attempts I've gotten from dealerships and other service providers. They did not, for example, lie and tell me I needed a new alternator or other major electrical work as other places have. They checked those things and said I did *not* have any other issues. They also did a lot of free minor maintenance and showed me a potentially dangerous tire issue they had noted. They explained everything carefully. The prices weren't low, but they were reasonable and matched their up front estimate and there were no unexpected charges. So I went back to get the tire issue addressed and an oil change and again got excellent service. They fixed a long-standing issue I'd had with the tire pressure monitor, which my dealer had been unable to fix, at no charge! Both times I asked to wait for the car as I am a good distance away and they worked on my car immediately. Overall, i have been highly impressed and will be using them going forward. read more

Came here for a car inspection, and the service was fast and courteous. They also have a large lot, which means it's easy to drop your car off. Some of the mechanics near the city (and in the city) have tiny lots so it can get tricky dropping your car off. Car Kings also has a large interior with plenty of seating. I have a had a few bad experiences with mechanics over the years but this takes the cake! I took my car to to Car Kings because my Jaguar was leaking oil after hitting a speed bump. I know a good bit about cars from my racing days but I don't have a lift so I brought it to them. After keeping my car for hours they finally called and I went to get my car. Here is what they told me... they said that when I hit the speed bump I did a lot of damage. They said I bent the oil filter, bent the oil cooler and the unit that holds the filter. They said it needed to be fixed immediately and that I shouldn't drive it. The price they gave me to repair... $1,800.00!!! They said I needed to replace everything including the hoses! I told them I couldn't afford to pay that and they said well, that's up to you, we put some oil in it, cleaned it up, and tightened the filter. They charged me $165.00 for that and said good luck! The problem is, that seemed like BS to me so I took it to another mechanic. The second mechanic's diagnosis; you bent the oil filter and knocked it loose. He re-tightened it, double checked the oil and said there's nothing else wrong with your car! His fee... $25.00! It's been two months since then and my car hasn't lost a drop of oil. The moral of this story, if I didn't question Car Kings I would have been ripped off for $1,800.00! Did they purposely try to rip me off? I don't know, but either way, they either dishonest or negligent and I don't deal with either You've been warned! Don't take the first estimate, EVER! Also, if you drive an expensive car, you are a target. So a quick response to your absurd explanation. I waited three months just be sure there would be no issues with my car! I was unhappy the moment you misdiagnosed and over charged to tighten the filter and add some oil. I'm just glad I found an honest, not greedy mechanic who obviously knows cars better than you, or maybe more honest. Either way, I notice any time you get a bad review it's NEVER your fault, always the "bad" or "fake" customer no big deal, all good on my end now. Just letting people know "caveat emptor" read more

SEPT 2020 - Had a great experience with these guys. Needed a thorough second opinion-- first shop said my '97 E250 was good to go after a quick once-over. The Jasper transmission kept on with a slow leak and Jasper suggested Car Kings. John picked up the call and had me in first thing next morning. I'm about to sell my car cause the inexperienced mechanics at Car Kings ruined it, the front right hightlight which they took weeks to try to fix (not qualified) is still not working, in fact much of what they did on my car only made things worse. The battery that he sold me not long ago went bad and he said he replaced it with a new just a couple months ago. i really doubt it since the battery has needed to be jumped and i've even tried to recharge it but it wont hold a charge bottom line is this he didnt replace the battery or the batteries they are using are junk either way stay away from this place if you have a car you care about. Started my car in the morning to the dreaded check engine light being on! After some online research came across Car Kings in my home town of Wallington. Briefly explained the issues I was having with my car to the service manager Anthony. He was extremely professional over the phone and explained the process of how they will diagnose the problem. Took my car at 1 in the afternoon and by 2:45 they gave me a full report on what was causing the problem. Outside of what was causing the check engine light to turn on they also advised of some minor issues they noticed. However there was absolutely no pressure to perform all services they noticed. The owner John was the one who actually called me to go over the report they ran through the diagnostic scan. They could not have been more helpful and make you feel at ease knowing your car is in good hands. By 6pm I was back in my car and it was running like new!! To top it all of the prices are right in line with what I would expect to spend for my repairs. Excellent service, fair pricing, and mechanics who talk to you like a normal person what more can you ask for from a mechanic. In preparation for the possible purchase of a used car on craigslist, my husband and I called up Car Kings to inquire about their inspections. Though we didn't end up buying the car (and therefore didn't need the inspection this time around), I feel inspired to write this review because of how friendly, informed and genuinely helpful Anthony was over the phone, thoroughly filling us in on the process (including where we could grab a bite nearby while we waited) and advising us from his first-hand experience on the models we were considering. To top it all off, he told us to call him with any questions we had about cars in the future, even if they don't end up inspecting/servicing them (!).
