we stopped by because our car was making a weird creaking sound and we had a long road trip ahead. so we were kind of in a rush.. when we got there the guys were amazing! they took the car for a test drive and found out the bolts on the wheels were basically coming off and fixed them right up. it took maybe 2 hours since it seemed like they were busy but it was very worth it especially for the price! we payed 40$ and they fixed up a bunch! thank you guys for your help today! next time im in the USA I will only come to you guys! - from that funny European Volvo read more

BEST SHOP IN EAST RUTHERFORD, Go directly to SAM to get the best experience from a shop you never know you needed. AMAZING SERVICE! I live in New York and my car broke down while I was visiting the American Dream mall with a friend. My battery light came on, I knew my alternator was probably done for and I drove to the nearest pep boys asap. They ran some tests and I was told my alternator needed to be replaced and it would cost $650. I was shocked at how much they were charging, $400 of that was just for the part!!. I then called auto zone and got a price quote of $150 for the part. I Asked pep boys if I provide the part can I just pay for the labor and they said they don't accept customer provided parts. It was a Sunday and mechanic shops were closed. I leave pep boys and go to Mavis discount. Mavis accepts the part but then they said it's a 2 1/2 hour job and it will cost me $380 just for labor. However pep boys just told me it was an hour job and I've also seen my alternator changed before and I know for a fact based on the car I have it can be done in under an hour as my alternator is right towards the top of my car, no lift required. The guy at Mavis even said I know it's not going to take that long but we have to charge according to what the book says. I was in disbelief and left. I went on Yelp and typed in mechanic shop and three brothers auto repair was one of the shops that popped up. I figured I should park my car next to there and try to come back to jersey and fix it during the week. I call on Monday to find out their labor rate and a nice man answered the phone with the utmost patience answering all of my questions. Their labor rate was $115 and their customer service was wayyyy better than pep boys or Mavis who had a labor rate of $140. I wasn't able to get back to jersey until Friday since I live two hours away and work. I called to see if they can take me Friday and Sam heard my situation and right away tried to help me and make me feel heard. He was honest and direct about costs and said the job will take one hour. He had a busy day as many cars were on the lot but he took my car in and got me back on the road WITHIN THE HOUR! I can't even explain how grateful I am for this shop and for sam's kindness, patience, and willingness to help. I've been to other shops in the past who just turn customers away when they are busy or make them wait days to come back for their car. I fix my car, I'm happy with the service, I leave the shop and drive to cvs. When I'm finished and go back in my car to start it the car starts but then shuts off. I call Sam right away and tell him my car keeps stalling. He said not to worry and he will send a guy to me right away. I waited maybe like 6 minutes and Sam ended up coming himself to help me. Turns out I needed to reset the idle so Sam stayed with me and drove my car around a bit and made sure it was working 100 percent before I made my way back to New York. Sam went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me and I will never forget how this complete stranger made my day as I was very stressed with the car situation for the past week. I get that he was just doing his job but I have experience working in a shop and finding someone as understanding as Sam to take care of customers is very rare. Moral of the story PLEASE take your car to three brothers to get fixed instead of going to the Mavis or pep boys a few mins away who will rip you off. You will not be disappointed with sam's customer service or this shop. They are so underrated and I'm surprised they don't have 100 five star reviews by now. I had left my car for servicing to fix the brake pads, check AC leakage and a hygiene checkup. Before leaving the car, I showed the mechanic the ac flow on the the front ac. When turned high or a notch lower it works perfectly fine - the concern was to get a decent flow on a lower key. The front AC vent was working before I handed it to him After the service, when I took the car on a long drive I noticed the front vents stopped blowing air completely and my wife too commented on the same. When I took it back to them they said that it wasn't working when I left it...That was clearly not true..They claimed that they wanted to replace an accetuator(not sure of the car terms) from an old camry - why would they do that and not put a new one? they charged me 518 for all the work done and broke my front vent a/c. Very disappointed with the a/c service in particular and seems I have to take it to another reliable one. Venting my frustration here since they didn't own to their fault. read more
