The idea of interacting with mechanics makes me nervous but the yearly inspection forces me to. On…read morethe last day before my 2017 inspection expired, I stopped in towards the end of the day. I expected my car needed work, but when they brought my in to see my axle and worn brakes - I realized I was in trouble. The owner answered all my questions, made suggestions, and gave me the option to decide which price bracket I wanted to be in based on my budget. I was able to leave my car in the shop and received a text the following morning (as promised) to let me know my car was ready. Very personable and honest staff. I've finally found my go to spot! Thank you again!!

This business deserves no stars. I am only forced to select one star in order to leave this review,…read morewhich I strongly disagree with. I am posting this review regarding an engine replacement performed by G & A Auto Diagnostic Wheel Alignment Center Inc. that has resulted in ongoing mechanical problems, safety concerns, and unresolved financial issues. On January 24, 2026, I paid $7,067.15 for an engine replacement. Immediately after leaving the shop (within approximately 2,000 feet), the engine began backfiring and the check engine light came on. When I contacted the mechanic, I was told to "break the engine in" and informed the engine came from a junkyard with an unknown history. The next day, I discovered a significant oil leak. I reported it and was told to return the following week despite the severity of the issue. Since then, I have had to return multiple times due to persistent problems that remain unresolved. I am currently unable to drive normally without repeatedly clearing the check engine light, raising ongoing safety concerns. I was later told the engine had not been tested prior to installation, which in my view is a major deviation from standard repair practice. After all these months, the mechanic (JR Cisneros) has now presented three options: 1. Remove the engine, issue reimbursement, and allow me to source another engine for him to install, while still charging labor costs 2. Wait for the one junkyard supplier this business uses to locate a replacement engine 3. Keep the defective engine and have him rebuild it for a separate labor fee Additional issues include: * Disconnected wires hanging beneath the transmission * Incorrect battery terminal installed, creating safety risks * Flywheel sold as new but appearing old and rusted * Charges for parts that may not have been necessary, as original components were reportedly reusable * A recently purchased alternator found to be damaged after the repair Communication has been inconsistent, with limited meaningful updates despite multiple attempts to follow up. I was eventually given options not disclosed at the time of service, including engine removal with conditional reimbursement dependent on a third party, an indefinite wait for a replacement, or paying additional costs for a rebuild. As a result, I have incurred additional transportation costs and lost income opportunities due to the lack of a functioning vehicle. My request for a full refund and reimbursement remains unresolved. Based on my experience, I would advise caution when considering major engine work from this shop due to unresolved mechanical issues, lack of transparency, and ongoing safety concerns.

Luckily I was at the light on the corner of Bergen & Communipaw so I pulled into Driveworks. They pumped up & checked my tire, it was some freak accident. I had checked the tire pressures the day before & I guess the internal valve opened up so it leaked all night. I knew I needed front brakes but kept putting it off. They gave me what seemed like a fair price & replaced them. Then at no cost they checked my flat tire & added air to all 4... I thought the service was great. Car drives so much better now & brakes are tighter...

While my tire was being serviced, they left a deep scratch on the passenger-side door panel of my brand-new 2025 GMC Acadia. I was quoted $562 to replace the damaged panel. Also, there was oil fingerprints all over the front bumper and inside of the car. As I entered the car after the service was complete, the car had a very strong unpleasant odor, wich made the experience even more uncomfortable. I am extremely disappointed with the way my vehicle was treated. In my experience, this was one the worse shop experience I have had in Town of Washington, NJ. I strongly recommend taking pictures of your vehicle before leaving it with this shop and considering other options if you can. The waiting room is dirty and dusty ... this place is not good anymore even in case of an emergency. Pett's Tire Auto Center in Washington, NJ is a terrible place. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Excellent place to fix Tesla wheel bends, cracks and curb rashes, all for a solid cheap price!!!!!…read more I got referral for Silverstar to fix bend rims in couple of wheels of my Tesla. The car was vibrating whenever I drove over 60 mph. I reached out to Jesse, the owner, who told me to come to the shop whenever I was free. I went around noon on a Monday where I met Joshua. He gave me all the run down that they fix Tesla wheel's for $125 each, fixing the curb rashes were additional $50 and they require holding the car for 24 hours. I also saw many Tesla wheels laying all around the store that assured me they regularly do these fixes. As I was not prepared the leave the car that day, I drove it back few days later. Joshua noted down my contact info and the wheels I wanted to fix. As 24 hours passed I was still waiting for the call, I reached out to Jesse about the pick up time. Within couple of minutes Joshusa called me to let me know it was ready for pick up. Upon arriving, I met Joshua to complete the payment, collected my keys and was on my way. The rims absolutely looked brand new. All the curb rash marks on both wheels were gone. The vibrating issue significantly minimized as well. One minor observation was both wheels didn't come back with their original valve cap. Overall I was really happy with the consistent hassle free experience that came with such a bargaining price. For any future wheel issues, I'd be go back to Silverstar without any hesitation.

It happened multiple times to me and when I called them out on it, the owner threw a tantrum and wanted to fight me. The first time was when I had my car towed over to the shop because the serpentine belt came off, instead of just replacing the belt, they also said I needed a new water pump, supercharger tensioner, belt tensioner, and upper radiator hose which ended up costing me $1100. 4 months later, the "new" water pump they replaced started leaking, so I brought it back to the shop because I had a 6 month warranty. They open up my hood and I'm watching them do this as one of the employees takes off a clamp to one of the hoses that connects to the radiator. He then pressurizes the coolant reservoir till the coolant shoots out of the pipe he took the clamp off of. This causes a commotion in the shop and I go to see what happened and instead of explaining, the owner starts shouting at me and telling me to get the fuck out of the shop. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND SHADY SHOP!
