    First things first. An independent dealer friend of mine taught me: if you see a trade-in at a major dealer (Ford, Audi, Mercedes, BMW, etc) and they want to sell it themselves? THAT car is a creampuff. They only keep the ones that require no work, and can turn around with no issues. The ones that look worn, or have issues, they auction off to smaller independent dealers like his dealership. In the case of the independent dealers, sometimes you get some good ones at auction. Sometimes you don't. I was trying to buy a car remotely, which I have done, 4 times before. I am out of state and I hire a local inspector to look the car over and give me a report and send me pictures. I see a BMW M760i that had a great color combo and most of the features I wanted, at Car Connection, so I contacted them. I asked and it did come from an auction. See these pictures. These came from a remote mobile inspector I hired called Car Pro Inspections. I asked Car Connection's salesman Sal to take a few pictures for me and he basically would not. So I called Mike Tobia, the owner/manager. We did talk a lot about this BMW M760i, VIN WBA7H6C5XHG614331, and he accommodated me having an inspector come. After the inspector did come in the morning (during which, Mike decided he did not want my inspector to drive the car) Mike conversed with me once or twice very soon after, trying to push the results of the inspection along and wondering why it was taking so long. I have done this plenty of times before, sometimes an inspection report does not come for hours, or even a day. They have to do other inspections, and most reports are done at the end of the day. In any case, Mike kept pressing that the car was in fantastic shape and it was so rare, it could be gone at any moment, and why was it taking so long for the inspection report. He was building a case to try to make me believe my inspector was somehow incompetent. I figured that out later. Meanwhile, I was shopping for a possible new M760i at BMW of Mt. View, and do you know what they said when I told them I wanted to look for a used one instead. 1] thanks for coming in. 2] we will help you look. 3] here's the service manager contact you asked about. I also looked at one at a dealer in Bedford Ohio. They themselves took pictures of the car before it was detailed and there was some black smudges on the white leather and paint failure and an extremely hashed front rim. THEY sent me the pictures themselves. No one denied anything. When I mentioned I was not going to buy, I thanked them for their candor, wished them luck cleaning the car up, and they thanked me for my time. How was Car Connection in all this? Mike texted or emailed me asking why the inspection took so long, reminding me I would lose this car if I did not move on it, and then insulted me and my inspector after he saw the pictures plain as day. Not to mention, the car is priced about $5000-7000 too high. Long story short, I am glad I waited for the inspection report and especially the pictures. I purposefully asked Stephon from Car Pro Inspections to only take pictures of issues and wear and tear. There was plenty. I then broke the news to Mike that I was not buying the car based on the inspection, but mainly because of the pictures. Mike got a copy of the report before the pictures and emailed me back to say my inspector was a "rookie' and the report was false (his exact words). He had not seen the pictures because it took some time to get them posted. Once he did see the pics, he still denied the car had the issues that were plain as day in the pictures. I bought from a small dealer called CJ Auto Group in Alhambra, CA. Lowest key, laid back, took pictures for me. Allowed my inspector to do anything he wanted and when I showed up, threw me the keys and asked me to take my time. What did I get? newer car, with a perfect interior. lower miles and a few tiny rock chips on the front bumper that can be touched up. No scratches. Looks new, unless you get on your stomach and look up. One does not have to settle for a used car that looks somewhat worn inside and frankly, really rather worn outside, has bald rear tires (with what looks like a nail in one), low coolant (that takes 3 minutes to fix and never should have gone on the floor like that to begin with) and a transmission error code 021924 that even my BMW dealer told me they could not diagnose unless the car came in for a full inspection. Remember the responses of the other dealers. Mike, before you respond, try to be better, and fix those tires, coolant and transmission error!

    When I first heard of this place I was looking to buy a Volkswagen Eos they had for sale. I looked on the website and sent in their inquiry and they responded very quickly. My sale person was Sal and he was great from the very beginning. We stayed in touch and I made an appointment to come in and see the car. I wasn't planning on buying a car that day I just wanted to look at it and then go home and think about it. I went on my lunch break from work to make sure of this fact.. Lol Well I arrived to Car Connection and I met with Sal. He walked me into their indoor sales room which was a nice size and I looked at the Volkswagen. It was nice and what I was looking for. He asked me to take a seat in any of the cars on the showroom floor because he had to go talk to the finance guy. Lol so the night before I saw this beautiful red Mercedes convertible they also had on their website. I was like ohhh that's way out of my budget and it only has two seats no way would I buy that. Well Sal comes out and sees me sitting in the Mercedes. He says this is a way nicer car than the Volkswagen and we could make it work. I laughed at him and said no way. Thirty minutes later they were cleaning up the Mercedes for me to take home.. Lol!! Sal and JJ were great to work with! They made me an amazing deal and I have been happy every since. Also the owner Michael was amazing as well. I ended up having to take the car back to repair the brakes and Michael worked out a nice deal with me and made me feel at ease. I would most certainly return to buy another car from them!! Thank you Sal, JJ and Michael! I'm driving my dream car!!!

    Don't take your car to get serviced here. Expect for it not to be ready when they tell you it is & to pay full for a poor job.
