I bought an extremely rare 2006 Mercedes SL65 from Car Connection for $28,000. On my test drive…read morewith their salesperson the car seemed fine, and I was so determined to own the car that I neglected some important details relating to the purchase. I explain here. Car Connection's 3-day, 100-mile warranty. I found an issue with the car after getting it home and chose to avail myself of this policy. I learned that I would be charged a $495 restocking fee and a $20 wire transfer fee. Had I asked for details about the return policy beforehand as their website mentions doing, I suppose Car Connection would have noted these fees. Car Connection's 3-month, 3000-warranty. As mentioned I found an issue with the car. The engine misfires whenever you accelerate at full throttle and your speed is greater than c. 67 MPH. You'd figure a drivetrain warranty would cover something as basic as this, but it does not. It only covers engine internals -- pistons, connecting rods, bearings, etc. Their website did mention to get details of the warranty, but I did not. I decided to keep the car and to deal with the misfire issue. Reckoning an $800 ignition module was the problem, I requested $400 toward the purchase of a module. Car Connection gave me a check for $400. My 3-star rating for Car Connection is based upon the above as well as a variety of factors which I do not mention in the interest of brevity

After reading several negative reviews from other customers, I'm very glad I decided not to move forward with purchasing a Porsche 911 here. Definitely do your research before buying.

The vehicle itself was attractive, and the staff were kind, cordial, accommodating, and easy to work with. My salesperson was outstanding. She was professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and committed to making the transaction as seamless as possible. Get the car inspected before finalizing a purchase and ensure that all commitments and representations are documented and honored. Unfortunately, my experience after the sale was less positive. A reimbursement issue did not meet my expectations, and within two days of purchase, the vehicle developed a leak that required immediate attention. While I appreciated the professionalism of the sales team and the ease of the transaction, buyers should conduct their due diligence and carefully review all terms to ensure the vehicle meets their expectations both at purchase and after leaving the lot. Overall, there were some great people involved, but the post-sale experience left room for improvement.

That warm, welcoming vibe you receive upon first contact quickly changes once the sale is completed. Iffy service practices, lies, and strategically convenient amnesia will soon greet you once they have your money. Save your time and effort and look for a more reputable dealership.
