Fantastic light fluffy interior with a beautiful crisp exterior, the perfect salting and a beer cheese that wraps around every bite. Sweet Chili Boneless Wings (5/5) Beautiful sweet with slight spicy flavor and giant chicken pieces! Sweet potato fries (5/5): I mis-ordered and the chef was incredibly kind to swap me for these fries instead of their regular salt and pepper. These fries are crispy and fluffy -- absolutely decadent! Beers & Cocktails (5/5): Such a wide variety of drinks! There are several beer types (I'm partial to their very tasty hazy, but their award winning sours are fantastic too). The watermelon mint cocktail with their house vodka is a must-try! Service (5/5): You order at the bars for food and drink (food is separate) but the servers clearing empty glasses are efficient and the food came out quick despite being told the kitchen was backed up. TL;DR: Absolutely will return to try more and enjoy the good vibes, eats, and drinks. read more

You guys, the food here is amazing!!! Heard about this brewery and came by to check it out, didn't even drink, but played cards at the outside picnic table and ordered their fried chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries, and summer salad. All of it was delicious and the atmosphere both inside and out (string lights, tons of seating) was so fun. So great having a brewery with actually good food nearby. We had a blast at trivia night in this newer Mt Kisco location. Beers are great and food is served throughout the trivia game. A well varied menu but lacking healthy choices (lots of fried stuff). My burger was good. Trivia was fantastic, well organized and displayed on the large TV - plan to attend! I already knew that Captain Lawrence had outstanding beer. You probably did too. But I'd never been to the Barrel House, and I just found out a lot of other things. A few of them: 1. It's a great spot for a party. My friends reserved some space for a birthday party, and the weather cooperated and let us spend our time in the sunshine at the picnic tables out back. We had a few kids running around (thankfully I left my monsters at home), and it was perfect. 2. The food is surprisingly awesome. Particularly the massive spread of regular sliders and fried chicken sliders. The brussels sprouts were outstanding. 3. The bartenders (all the staff really) were accommodating, and friendly, and just cool. One of them also took a great group photo of all of us (wasn't easy wrangling 35 drunk people and their kids), and it's actually beautiful. 4. They don't just have beer. If you're not down with beer because you're gluten free, hate hops, have gout, or whatever, there's also cider, hard seltzers, and even cocktails if you're into that sort of thing. But the beer is where they shine (personal opinion). I know a lot of folks that will drink Freshchester all day long. 5. They have $1 wings on Wednesdays, and BOGO on Sundays at the bar. Also, kids eat free on Sundays, which is just an excuse to drink all day on Sunday with your children and make your wife drive home. read more

It's a little difficult to find even with GPS. Brick building and bar entrance is on the side, down the driveway. This place has a real neighborhood feel. Staff says there are many regulars. The beers are excellent. Different styles available. Food available. I had the wings and they were large and tasty. They have can coolers for take away bevvys. read more

This is kind of a 2 for 1 review. I never would have found this Awesome place if I didn't book an event and this great spot was hosting. It was a Bonsai tree sip and snip workshop from Bonsai Bar. The workshop was fantastic so fun and different...and it introduced us to this fantastic place that we have driven past 100 times and never even noticed. Drinks were great, atmosphere is so cool with a large yet cozy industrial vibe, great music, and the staff were all extremely nice. We only snacked on some bar food ( hard to eat while potting and training a Bonsai tree..lol) snacks were yummy and we will Absolutely be coming back for a proper meal ( as the menu looks amazing ) so happy to find this fantastic gem hidden right in plain sight on Lexington Ave in the heart of Mt Kisco..appology for the lack of pics, but I was trying not to kill my tree and was distracted..but trust me, the place is beautiful as are it's employees! Food was very good. Self-service, you go up to a counter and order. Your beeper goes off and you pick up. The burger was great, BLT had maybe too much bacon. Gorgeous milkshakes are popular with the kids. Huge tv's with Sunday football. That said, beware of Sunday afternoons when kids under 12 eat free. It's all concrete and metal so it's pretty loud, and with lots of kids there when we visited, it was deafening with unsupervised, happy though very loud kids. I had cider, my husband had beer, there are lots of choices. We'll go back but probably at a different time of day. read more

We had a fun evening at Captain Lawrence! The beers and wine selection were great! Service is quick and friendly. The food was enjoyable--my husband really liked the Nashville hot chicken and my son liked his chicken fingers. The pretzel was great but the cheese sauce, not so much. There wasn't much of a veg selection--only a salad, but it was a large portion and despite being overdressed, was pretty good. Would love to see a veggie burger on the menu! We finished up with the fried Oreos which everyone loved. It was a bit loud but we will definitely be back on a sunnier day when we can sit in the beer garden. read more

I've been here more times than I can count but not really sure why. It's a pretty standard menu of wings, sandwiches, and burgers. Not really outstanding by any means but just fine. They used to have more of a salad selection or some veggies. When I asked they said they changed the menu. The ambiance is really low-key and really what's missing in this northern Westchester area. I would have rated this place four stars despite how lukewarm I feel about the food (but this last time I was really quite surprised how accommodating they were about closing time. We arrived 5:50 on a Sunday evening, over an hour before closing time and was told the kitchen was closed already. Three staff members told us again and again that they close the kitchen an hour before the bar closes. Knowing this from being here so many times before is exact reason for why we arrived before 6:00. However, they insisted that they could not take another food order. We looked each other puzzled because we all knew it was before the last hour. Finally, one staff member admitted that they actually did already last call at 5:45. I'm sorry, but who does last call 90 minutes before the place closes? It was a one of the first warm days of spring, and still a well-packed bar and dining area. Seems to me the staff was looking to cut out early. read more

Have been here twice now and it's a 90 minute roundtrip from our house... so we seriously love it. The beer flights, and that they allow custom flights at no additional charge, are all so good. We've had their spicy chicken sandwich and their burgers. Both are stellar - especially the mushroom burger! The manager, Nick, was there both times and is a delight. We'll definitely keep making the trip to Mt. Kisco because this place is a solid, fun hang with great good and drinks. read more

This is not a good place for a sit down dinner or any dinner. It is very very very casual and is self-serve. You have to order your drink at the bar and then go order your food at a different counter to take to a table, where you seat yourself. Nice laid back spot to grab a drink and some Food truck BBQ. came here Saturday night and ate outside with a few friends. Much smaller outside area than their Elmsford location and I wish there was some more lighting when it got dark (maybe patio lights), but a good off the street outdoor setting otherwise. They also had some live outdoor music which was nice. Parking lot was small and I had to park next door, but wasn't an issue for a Saturday night. Good beer and good BBQ (I got the brisket grilled cheese, would definitely get it again. we also liked the apps pretzels and nachos). May be hard to find if your not looking for it, but keep an eye out for the sign. Have to drive down the driveway to get to the parking lot and building. Friendly service as well. Hosted a 50th birthday party here. The space was perfect for around 40 guests; We had 5, 8 seater tables, dessert table, gift corner, and tables for stationed appetizers and main course. We had our own DJ and there was enough room for a dance floor, plus Photo booth. We had a slideshow running on the in-house tv.. I chose to bring in my themed decor and the staff was very accommodating to our specific requirements in terms of how we set up the place and allowed alterations to the menu. The vegetarian options could have been better, but overall it was a great experience. read more
