Awesome food and massive selection of beer 5/5 rating items - the food was incredible I had a bbq and onion ring burger which was incredible wow. Wife had chicken ceaser salad with the best ever croutons it was massive and it was great. Beer selection 5/5 4/5 flights of beer can only be elicit beer and their beer is not as good as the rotation taps. So loses a point Everything is self service so you can't just order food for the table 3/5 Noise factor omg can't hear yourself talk Will go back when we can eat outside read more

If you want food and drinks you have to go to 2 separate locations within the establishment. BEWARE - If you order food and start a "tab" for your food you will be charged an additional $20 hold on your card for preauthorization. So if you use your debit card be prepared for it to come out of your account for a few days. This is ridiculous. I have never been to any bar or restaurant that has charged a preauthorization for food. They are running a scam. They put 20% tip on my bill that I never authorized. Why would I tip 20% when it's a glorified fast food place? DO NOT GO HERE. Other reviews have said the same thing. It was my first time there...and my last. read more

My friends and I decided to attend an event here and so glad I joined in! The space is huge, with two sections that join by a hallway. There are bars on either side. They have a vast beer selection but also a ton of liquor to choose from, if that's your fancy. We ordered a few appetizers to share, our favorite being the spinach and artichoke dip. That is a must try! I was still hungry and ordered a smash burger which was very filling, definitely could share that with someone too. Decided to wash it down with a sour beer. We had an amazing time and can't wait to go again! read more

Cool place the apps are pretty cool. We like a lot of them just too loud. Service or ordering is kind of weird.

Went for trivia night last night for the first time at Elicit!! They have a huge selection of drinks, which is obviously important for a brewing company. We were a little surprised that there weren't any servers and you order your food and drinks at the counter. You can also order with the QR code at the table and pick it up yourself, which is what we ended up doing. The food came out pretty fast, maybe 10-15 minutes. Yes, they do ask for a tip which we didn't mind doing even though there wasn't a server. I'd be happy to pay to tip the person preparing the drinks and food. We ordered the crispy shrimp w. Yum yum sauce, sweet chili wings, and the spinach and artichoke dip with chips. The shrimp was definitely the BEST. The flavor was perfect. It was spicy as hell, but I'd 100% get it again. I'm pretty sure you can opt out of the chili spice. The wings had great flavor too. The spinach and artichoke dip wasn't a smooth consistency & while I didn't mind that, my friend did. It was very chunky, and the chips were VERY salty. I've seen other people mention the saltiness, so it seems like something they should take into account. It was also pretty cold inside, which is the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars. The beer was absolutely DELICIOUS. I had the friends with benefits lager, just the drip coffee porter, and the over cerealized peanut butter stout. All three were 10/10 without a doubt. The staff behind the counter were super friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be going back to give it a second try. read more

Loved it here! When I was here there were also three parties. But since the location is huge, there was lots of space and plenty of seating. The food and drinks were great. There is a bar towards the front where you order drinks. The food counter is in the back. I'd definitely come back here. Everything I tried was great - the spinach dip, pickles, pizza, etc! I can't wait to stop back in and try more of their food options. read more

Good food, company and beers! What a selection, decisions... decisions. No matter what you select, you won't be disappointed. We've been several times since they have opened and can't wait to go back. From the pizza to their salads and apps, every thing is delicious. They also pay very special attention to detail when you have food allergies. The bartenders are always eager to help you find the right beer for you. The space is a good size for the music events and enjoying spending time with friends. read more

First time here. This place is weird. No hostess and you have to find a table yourself. Ok. We did. The problem is that you have to order by scanning barcode and then picking food up yourself in a far corner in the back. Before you can place your order, they want you to tip!!! Who are you tipping if there is no waitstaff?? If you don't tip, what happens to your food? As far as drinks, You have to go to the room on the other side to order mixed drinks and bring those back to your table And if you want draft beer, that's on the other side of the bar. So basically you're the waiter for your table the entire night so why are you tipping? You are running around all night. It's so beyond annoying. Someone has to constantly sit at the table while the other people have to deliver food and drinks from various parts of these oversized rooms. It's hard to get a table so people are looking to grab anything that looks like it's not being used. So someone is held hostage sitting at the table to make sure it isn't stolen as you go to retrieve your food. There has to be a better system! We came to see a band, the band started at nine and at 10 o'clock. A Dj started blaring music from the other side. There's no door to separate the band and the Dj just a curtain! It was ridiculous . We felt so bad for the band because they were excellent and they could barely hear themselves singing and playing their instruments. Food was decent , but definitely not worth the hassle. If there is a next time, I will have dinner elsewhere and possibly come to hear a band if they can figure out how to keep the Dj separate read more

Laid back, family friendly brewery. Large space and lots of options when it comes to food and drink. You just grab a table and then head to each counter to order what you'd like. We went on a Sunday evening and it wasn't too busy. Wine and cocktails on tap in addition to a large selection of beers. Food is your typical American/bar type. I was impressed with the quality of the food. We had some appetizers and everything was really tasty. The burgers looked delicious too. Prices were more in line with a traditional restaurant but still reasonable. I'd be back! read more

The hottest new place on Danbury's booming west side has to be Elicit Brewing. I missed the opening weekend because I was out of town but we made sure to check it out with our neighbors and we're excited to have this wonderful new option in town. Before I get too detailed, just know that this is a huge space with an exceptional beer menu and tasty food. It's self service, but that's okay and the afternoon I was there, I saw singles, couples, families with kids and even some dogs (outside). It's clean, spacious and has a friendly staff so you should check it out. Now for a deeper dive. The place is gigantic with a big beer bar when you first walk in. You can order drinks (in addition to beer they have cocktails and canned drinks like High Noon as well as non-alcoholic options) and they'll open a tab for you which allows you to go to any other bar in the place and order on the same tab. Also, you just tap and then keep your card so you don't have to worry about forgetting it, which I love. There are a ton of tables of various shapes and sizes in the front section. I did a flight of four Elicit beers and liked them all. They also have a large selection of beers from other breweries. If you head to the back, you can order food from a decent menu. You'll place the order and get a buzzer and then pick it up when it's ready. We had some crispy shrimp and french fries. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. If you go outside towards Backus Ave, there's a huge patio with cornhole and a firepit. There was also a bar with huge open serving windows for the outdoor patrons to use. Behind the main bar, around the corner there is a lounge-type area. Here you'll see a well stocked full bar, along with an extensive set of taps. This area has more of an adult feel than the front part, with dimmer lighting (maybe because the other side has a wall of windows it just feels brighter) and more comfortable padded sofas and chairs. There are some pinball machines and a shuffleboard table in front as well, but I think if they had some more games it would be great, because there's plenty of space. Also, if there were a pen or special area for kids that had some activities for them I think that would be nice as well. The other suggestion I have is I'd love to have something by the exit to remind you to close your tab. It was easy enough to go to the bar and close it, but if you're forgetful like me, a reminder is nice. Everyone I met who worked there was super nice and informative and helped explain how things work. One part of the lounge was set up for some type of event and before I saw it, I was thinking this would be great to host a birthday party, shower or work event. My first impression of Elicit was outstanding and I can't wait to go back. There were a lot of workers and it was crowded when I was there so it's terrific a new place is helping the local economy. I can't wait to go back. read more

2nd time back - this place is great! Personal (if you're HUNGRY) / sharable sized pizza for $13.50, cannot beat the quality for the price. The empanadas, ordered by my friend, were very tasty the second time around as she got them last time! The egg rolls, ordered by my other friend, were not as tasty as anticipated he claimed. The drinks were awesome - lots of beer, wine, and cocktail choices for everyone. We left prior to the live music started, but it was packed and there for sure was going to be a party! Highly recommend this spot for a good time, great eats, and lively atmosphere. read more

This was one of the most unique experiences I've had in a restaurant. Some of it good some of it.... Not so good. This is a large place beer hall style restaurant / pub. The front half of the restaurant is divided into two parts. One side is a long bar for beer orders. The other side is a cocktail bar with a lounge feel. The kitchen is at the back of the restaurant. You can order on your phone or at the counter. The good news is once you have a tab at any of them, it carries through any of the ordering locations in the restaurant. There are no waiters. Getting started can be a little confusing. I had to flag down one of the bus boys to get things figured out. To be clear, all of the staff that I interacted with were very nice. I really think it would be good of them to have somebody at the front entrance during business hours to kind of explain things to people. On the positive side, you don't have to wait for someone to come to your table to order things. The real drawer here is the beer that they make in house. I tried several brews and all of them were good. The appetizers and desserts are excellent as well. read more

My husband, brother, & I came to Elicit for our first time on Monday night for Jukebox Bingo. This was a unique experience when You walk in there are instructions to seat yourself which I actually liked. There are two important areas after You sit down - the bar area, and back further the food area. I dont drink so Im not quite sure how the bar area worked. But I did see Elicit had a vast amount of beers on tap. I got more familiar with the food area. You have the option to open a tab. I did not opt for a tab but it's a nice option to have available. After you place a food order your given a buzzer. Once your buzzer goes off your food is ready to be picked up. Along with napkins there is a multitude of mayo's, ketchup, mustard, hot sauce etc to put in a little cup for your food. At the condiment table self serve ice water pitchers are available. I ordered garlic parm wings, pork potstickers, and my brother went with cheese fries and chicken quesadillas. The wings were a good size but lacking garlic parm sauce. So next time I know to ask for extra on the side. Along with my wings I asked for bleu cheese but Im not sure what they gave me. I think I got the wrong sauce. The potstickers were delicious! Lots of pork inside and crispy on the outside. The cheese fries were so good with the cheese well spread over the fries. My brother mostly ate the quesadillas which were ample in size. Whatever sauce that was on the top he scraped off. Jukebox bingo was alot of fun. Paper bingo cards with the songs. And lots of colorful markers to mark off your spaces. Instructions were given before we started playing and the vibe of the game was nice and relaxed. I did not get to experience the outside patio. I did see the outside patio and it was spacious. The other thing mentioned in other reviews was the noise level. I assume that is more of an issue on Friday & Saturday night and when they have music. Im looking forward to enjoying many more Jukebox bingo or maybe even trivia nightZ read more

So happy this finally opened! Danbury needed something like this. I came for happy hour and was super happy with the "happy hour" choices. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and upbeat. A special shout out to the bartender, Amanda. The place is large with different seating options. You do not have a waiter, you order everything at the bar or food counter. The Philly cheesesteak rolls and sweet chili chicken bites were my favorite. The pretzels were good but a little boring, the mustard dip was great! I didn't love the chicken quesadillas, I think that cilantro crema sauce would better on the side in a cup. It made it messy to eat and could have used a side of sour cream. Can't wait to try more items! read more

This could have been 4-5 stars if not for the tall prices and the presence of babies and children. I hate breweries that have kids and babies allowed! It's a brewery and has a bar with games such as cornhole, shuffleboard(??) and some pinball games. I like that you can choose your own table but that's basically it. I never tried the beer because I went alone and was driving. I had the spicy hatter which was a burger and some truffle fries. With that and a Mexican soda being a crazy $7(is this due to the tariffs!?), it was a whopping $31. The burger was fine but very mild in terms of spice. Think franks redhot sauce mild. Service was fine; you place an order and you get a buzzer once your food is ready. Very loud, so a nightmare for introverts and people who want to talk while drinking and eating there. Unless there's an adults only night or something, I won't be back solely because of kids being there! read more

It's Chucky Cheese with Beer. I really wanted to love this place, but adult couples/groups don't seem to be the target clients. Soccer Moms with a clutch of children in tow dominated this Brew Pub when we gave it a try on a Saturday, and children are encouraged to free-range; little screaming tikes run in all directions, with the volume turned up to eleven. Combined with the pub's Spartan industrial décor and the lack of soundproofing, the resulting sound level was comparable to that on the tarmac at JFK. It was our first visit, and we were trying to learn the order/pick-up for food and booze, but the place was so echoey and loud that we had to shout back and forth to communicate with the staff. After a few minutes of this, we bounced. They do have an outdoor area. When the weather warms, we'll give the parking lot patio a try. read more

I wanted to love it - I truly do. But it was jutoo unorganized and too chaotic. The beer selection was great - enjoyed the Elicit original brews especially the Total Juicebag and Friends with Benefits. However, the food was hit or miss. The blue burger and sweetpotato fries were yummy and well done. The dumplings were firm. The Caesar salad wrap was weird - overly fried chicken mixed with lots of fillings (not really Caesar flavor) in a thick pizza dough that was not wrapped tightly enough so it was messy. Service was weird - whatever service there was. At the entrance you basically saw signs that its self service. QR code menus were slow and clunky. Overall, not the best system. read more

The initial impression of this establishment is like a beautiful lie you tell yourself at 2 AM. From a distance, it looks promising, but that illusion shatters the moment you attempt to park. The lot is a masterclass in urban planning for a nation of compact cars, where every line seems to have been drawn with a childlike sense of scale. It's the first of many hurdles designed to test your resolve before you even step inside. Once through the doors, you'll be treated to the architectural wonder that is the adult Chuck E. Cheese. The space is vast and unsettling, evoking the grandeur of an airport terminal or a school cafeteria where hope goes to die. It's a premier location for people-watching, as confused patrons bumble around, their eyes wide with the realization that they've entered a zone of pure, unadulterated chaos. But the true star of the show is the noise. Imagine three different musical genres competing for dominance from hidden ceiling speakers, all playing at a volume that has been calibrated to "11" for maximum discomfort. The result is a sonic maelstrom, a 432Hz wall of white noise that drowns out all rational thought. This lack of noise dampening is so profound that any attempt to communicate with friends, or the staff is a two-way street of baffled shouting, with "WHAT?!" being the most common phrase of the evening. The employees, by the way, all seem to be locked in a silent staring contest to see who can quit first. As for the food, it's what happens when you try to be edgy but fail spectacularly. It's the kind of "try-hard" menu that puts lipstick on a pig and then has the audacity to serve it to you. The chicken quesadilla, for example, is a culinary marvel in that it contains a full red onion and a cup of pesto sauce, making it less of a quesadilla and more of a crime against Tex-Mex cuisine. The fries are soggy, flavorless Costco rejects, with lazy toppings thrown on top. The donuts taste like they are Entenmann's that have been briefly warmed, creating a doughy, desert-dry choking hazard that will make you rethink your life choices. The beer menu has its own identity crisis. A lot of the selection is painfully immature and the names are as memorable as they are groan-inducing. However, in a surprising twist, a few of the beers were genuinely good, providing a small oasis of quality in this sensory assault. In conclusion, if you're looking for a dining experience that combines the stress of air travel with the sonic assault of a birthday party, this is your place. read more

Nice outdoor space in Danbury with all self-serve beer & food. Great beer and happy hour beer prices, plus no tip as its order & serve yourself (I'd prefer full-service, but I get it). I suggest doing an app-based ordering system vs what they have. Its a huge space and walking back and forth to get your food is a pain if you are outside on the patio. Speaking of food, if you are going to serve food, please up your game. $8 happy hour boneless wings were more like nuggets (worse than McD - dried out, tough and flavorless) and portion was small for $8. Pizza was edible though, but a bar has to have good wings. $8 happy hour pretzels were overpriced but at least edible, but the beer cheese sauce wasn't too good. Mustard sauce was OK.
