Two words - lobster. rolls. Heibeck's is awesome - it's right on the side of the road with lots of lunch/dinner options and also ice cream. It's the perfect local neighborhood food stand with great food. I got the lobster roll which was warm and buttery - everything you want in a lobster roll and luckily it wasn't huge, just the right size. I also got a side salad and 4 of us split some clam strips. Everything was super tasty! We sat outside in the back which was cute - lots of tables with umbrellas. It was definitely a popular spot and it can take a while for food to come out, so be patient. Hasn't changed much in 90 years: still selling hot dogs, burgers, lobster rolls, ice cream, etc. best know for its ice cream and lobster rolls, based on an informal survey of the line in front of me and behind me. How have I never been here? It was wonderful. I was particularly impressed with the ice cream.

Been here many times and always loved it. Unfortunately, our experience on Mother's Day was not good. First, they didn't open on time. Then only one window was ever helping people, tho we watched plenty of individuals inside standing around chatting, and both windows were open tho not manned at the same time. Then the food finally arrived after a very very long wait and it was inedible. One of the worst hotdog and hamburger that we have had. Two bites and we threw them away. Yummy HQ take out shack on side of route 7. The lobster rolls and fries are consistently good with a decent amount of meat for the price and the ice cream/shakes are amazing. Update - stopped by on a Saturday (after having a disappointing lobster roll on Friday somewhere else) and as usual they were delicious!! Heibeck's always knocks it out with their lobster rolls and is a summer favorite for sure. Add in the amazing ice cream afterwards and you're in for an awesome afternoon! Also added a star back from my previous review as the lobster rolls are really that good. Love Heibeck's! Food is awesome as are the sweet treats. It a favorite stop on the way home from school with my daughter. Only reason I can't go a full 5 is the Philly cheese steak. There are a lot of places around that offer a bigger, better one for less money and as it's a favorite food of mine I weigh my score a litter heavier based on that. This place was well worth it and I will be back again! The hot dog was stand out. The fish sandwich was just good. But the buns! So soft and doughy which made it something you can't find elsewhere. The iced tea could have been stronger for me. The ice cream was amazing. We had the local strawberry Sorbet. It did melt at an alarming rate on a cone though so next time I'll get it in a dish so it won't have to be a sprint. The deep purple cow was fantastic. The chocolate chunks were big so you could really taste all the flavors happening. We loved the atmosphere here. The BYOB aspect seems to be enjoyed and we saw many friendly dogs. And the ice cream has color changing spoons - what fun! Lots of outdoor seating and a decent amount of parking options. It was a beautiful Sunday evening and it only took 13 mins to get our food so that's very reasonable. I want to explore more of the menu and probably could make it a five star. read more

I found Heibeck's by change because I was looking for a good hot lobster roll in the area. So glad I did because this is such a cute spot and really perfect for a nice summer lunch. It does get pretty busy but I really like that they indicate the wait time at the window so you can know what you're in for before you order. At around 12:45pm on a Wednesday, the wait time was indicated as around 20 minutes but I think we got our food a little quicker than that. The lobster rolls here are $17.99 which is a pretty good price when you compare with other establishments in the area. It is relatively small but definitely not lacking in flavor and lobster-to-bread ratio. I really love the vibe of this place, there's plenty of space outside to sit so highly recommend that if it is a nice day. read more

My dad used to bring us here for ice cream in the 1960's. It was homemade and super creamy. After years living in other states and abroad, I have moved back to the area and took my my husband here to experience the ice cream I loved as a child. Did not find it here. I had a small dish of chocolate chip ice cream full of ice crystals. My husband ordered a soft serve vanilla and his large portion was smaller than my small cup. He asked if it was correct and was told it was. It looked like a child-size portion at other places. Basically 2 small scoops of mediocre ice cream for $10.75. Stunned. So over-priced I am still recovering from the shock. Back to the frozen aisle at the supermarket after that. They also feature handmade ice cream from Lindsay's Handmade Ice Cream - hoping they'll bring more flavors on board soon!
