3.5 star experience
A group of us went to Noya to celebrate a few September birthdays. This new restaurant is stylish in its design as new, clean and fresh is always a winning formula. The food experience was good but fairly typical with what you experience with a multitude of other area restaurants. Service was fine as we were not rushed and pace of service was good. Maybe a few too many- Is everything ok/good. Did anything stand out at this restaurant? Was anything outstanding, unusual, inventive- I don't think so. So everything was good, nothing was great and maybe that's what you get these days. $180 a couple is expensive so I can't say there was good value in the experience.
I think that the inflation of food prices has forced restaurants to jack up pricing so much to where the value equation is truthfully poor. Young adults or older folks in a budget won't be able to afford this place and their $48-56 entrees so who is this restaurant really for? The location or experience doesn't really warrant it being a special occasion place. I just don't know how many if these restaurants we really need as they have price/boxed out so much if the eating public.
Will I ever feel compelled to come back to this restaurant again? That's a really good question. read more
