Came here for a Yelp event and let me tell you...this place is wholesome. Especially enjoyed the tour. Learned some awesome history and facts about the property. Also learned some new information about beer and its process of making it. Love that they keep the original pine wood in tact and incorporated it in the restaurant, including the walls and tables. Andy knows his stuff! Beer that is!! Very knowledgeable in all things beer and simple motive. He has a great personality and made my time there feel welcoming. I'm not much of a beer fan but I do dabble every once in a while. My favorite was Lake and Mirth & Mischief which were both opposites of each other in flavor, but absolutely had a great taste that I'll be 'hopping' back too! Haha. Also a plus that one of the owners is from the Bronx. It's great that you can also host events here or rent the place out for a private extravaganza filled with beer, with your family and friends. Even better that they support other local and minority businesses that are available for event hosting. I love to see a family business like this succeed and prosper, so please check these guys out!

Headed out to Simple Motive Brewery located in Yonkers and I was pleasantly surprised with great craft beer and a good time. We tried 5 different beers and settled on two that were our favorites. The establishment is located in an industrial area where there are a bunch of factory looking buildings but I do believe parking is not an issue. I cannot confirm this since I took an uber to be responsible! The place is clean and open with a mixture of lounge style seating and some high top tables. The finishes are mostly wood with a mix of metal and it looks so nice. They were also gracious enough to offer us a quick tour of their 7 barrel system in the back. All beers are made on premise so you know you are getting the freshest beer you can get! The beers were really impressive. They tasted clean and well crafted. You can really tell that they make these recipes with passion. There is something for everyone whether you are looking for something light and crisp or heavy and strong! They even carry an out sourced cider for the none beer drinkers aswell as a cocktail list with a full bar. I have never heard of or tried a black IPA. Initially I was not interested because I do not love dark beers. They tend to have a strong chocolate/coffee flavor and always seem too heavy to have more than one. Once I tried it, I was in love. It has some notes of dark beers but it was so light and complex. I could really taste the IPA structure but it was dark! I loved it so much I grabbed a 4 pack to take home! They do not offer food yet but plan too in the future. They are only a little over a year old. There is a sandwich shop next door and they hire food trucks to come on weekends for food offerings. They make the ordering easy for you as they have a QR code to order and it gets delivered from either the sandwich shop or the food trucks. Yesterday they had a Dominican food truck, Monkey Brothers Lab. I ordered alittle snack to settle with the beers and it was great. Fried perfectly and not oily. There was literally no oil on the bottom of the tray and that is impressive. Very nice and organized system. I predict that this brewery will do big things and I am rooting for them!

This place has heart, hustle, and hops. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the energy--laid-back, creative, and welcoming. The staff genuinely love what they do, and it shows in every pour. The beer? Absolute . Whether you're into hazy IPAs, crisp lagers, or experimental brews with bold flavor combos, there's always something on tap that surprises and impresses. You can tell these folks take their craft seriously without taking themselves too seriously. The space is industrial-cool but cozy, with a vibe that makes it perfect for everything from a chill date night to a group hang with friends. Bonus points for the local art, good tunes, and food pop-ups that pair perfectly with whatever you're sipping. Support local. Drink good beer. Simple Motive is definitely one of my favorite go-to spot. Try the Priuscutto Meets Hot Honey pizza or the Churro Pretzel, & check out Family Meal Open Mic/Poetry on the last Monday night of the month!!!

I've been coming here long enough it's time I wrote a review. There has never been a beer I've tried here that I didn't love. Every style and flavor is phenomenal. From IPAs to porter to saison to their pizzas, omg the pizzas are incredible! It's great to see old friends from Beer Noggin and Coals here! Also the bartenders are incredibly friendly and quick to help. The vibes are fantastic, they have lots of live music and events and the space is so warm and inviting, it feels like it could be in Brooklyn or something. Always a great time at SMB!!

When I walked into this Brewery, the first thing I thought was "oooh, classy" and I thought it was a wine bar! This was a classy crisp and cozy spot to grab a beer! I really loved the plants! Service was good ! If you want food there is a food truck out front to order from. I'd love to come back and relax. Ps. There is a projector where you can catch a game too!

This is an absolutely gorgeous space, and was made especially beautiful for the holidays. I wish that we lived nearby because I would be here all the time. I tried two different IPAs, and even got to try a taste of a special holiday batch of coquito that I believe the owner's wife made (which was so good I couldn't help drink some even though I can't have dairy!) It sounds like they do a good number of events here, and I think it would be a great spot to have a party as well as to grab a chill drink with friends. The beer isn't even 100% my style but Simple Motive is still 5 stars all around for me, for the drinks, the atmosphere, and the friendly service. A must-go if you're in the area!

Absolutely gorgeous space. They loudly put a lot of thought into the look and feel. The beer list was longer than many other breweries in the area. I tried two IPAs, which were solid but probably won't be a go-to. That being said, I appreciated the variety in the menu. I have since tried even more of their beers from farmers markets and such, and they keep coming out with good ones. I will definitely be continuing to follow this brewery!

New spot in yonkers. Its located in a revamped warehouse next to artists studios. The place is very family friendly and always has events happening. The space itself is very well done and has plenty of seating all around. They have a good rotation of food trucks providing diff. Latin flavors (Dominican, Venezuelan, etc). Great addition to the area and looking forward to coming back!

Beers only + free popcorn Follow them on Insta to see which food truck is available that day. If you run a food truck, let them know. There are about 10 beers on tap. Im a fan of their ipas, and i can get them at Bronx ale house. The service is great, the decor is down to one of the best ever for a brewery.. they were even featured on the Westchester magazine.. Overall come by, spend a few hours here.. they are hiring in case you are looking. Its so good, that employees come back during their off time. ( i dont k ow why) but i get the low down. Chilled ambiance. No TVs but they now have a huge movie screen/proyector for games. This day it was a MLS game. Ps: no free tastings nor flight package.. which they should have Ps 2: i cant work here.. i would be tasting all the time

What a pretty and cute, cozy vibe feeling this brewery has to it. First time here and found it on google. It is very clean and has plants around it. The beer selection is a bit small but they also have wine and NA options. There is a food truck out front where you can order from. The bartender was very nice and helpful. There are many tables and little cozy areas to sit in. We sat on the couch/ comfortable chair area. There is a projector and a few tvs to catch a game while enjoying your beverage of choice. Great place to grab a beer and hang with your friends. There is also some bar seating as well. The music was chill vibes. When we first walked in we felt like we were at a chill wine bar. I will deff be back here. On another note I got some beer to take home. The one I got was called the simple motive lake Kolsh. Had a nice, light crisp taste to it.

Great story about the building and the pains the brewers suffered to get this business open. They are an inspiration for perseverance. Many styles of beers to choose from. There is something for everyone here. There is a great vibe of wanting to help the underdog here. Clientele was friendly, beers are tasty and parking can be a Bit of a challenge. It's hard to find because (another Yonkers government welcome to small business) there's a sign ordinance. I actually drive past twice. They also sponsor events in a gigantic upstairs space. Building is a carpet manufacturing location from years ago. The preservation effort is remarkable! I wish I lived closer to support these guys.

I found myself at Marlowe to catch up with my Yelp friend Mercedes C. We periodically link up and…read moreit since it had been a minute, we thought it was the perfect time to do so. She had suggested Marlowe as she had heard good things about it - I had never been (or heard) of this spot before so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to check out a new spot and catch up, so off we went. Marlowe is located off Mamaroneck Ave, in a semi-isolated area which is on-brand for a brewery. The space isn't too large - it's rectangular-shaped with a lot of light pouring in and a variety of seating available. They did the place up nicely - it definitely gives off brewery vibes with tasteful decor such as hanging string lights and plants. I am admittedly not a big beer drinker, so I opted to a cocktail. I had one of the mule selections which was very good. It almost goes without saying when we go out, but we also had some food. They have a good selection of bar-esque fare like sandwiches, burgers, apps, etc. I also noticed they had a selection of tacos so I went with those. We were able to mix and match so I went with a shrimp and a chicken. Both were good - generous with the fillings with accents that really complemented the flavor of the protein. The chips that came on the side were house made/kettle style and were good as well. We also ordered some eggplant chips to share - I wasn't a big fan of these. They were too thick and kinda greasy - I've had fried eggplant chips at other places which do them better. Service was great - the bartenders were really friendly and we got some great insight into the history of the place. Overall, I had a great time at Marlowe - it was wonderful catching up with a friend, and the overall experience memorable (even for a sporadic beer drinker like me). If I found myself back here I wouldn't be disappointed.

Two of the things I like about breweries nowadays is that there's (usually) a good food+cocktail…read moremenu- and you don't even need to drink beer. I either read about Marlowe's on Hoyt Ave in Mamaroneck in my Westchester Magazine while living in White Plains or it was somehow swirling on Yelp. In any case, the food caught my attention and mayyyybe their only 2 cocktail offerings. Plus it was wonderful coming to Westchester after living in the county for 22 years and meeting my friend Jason M. over laughs, life and of course, gossip. With two entrances leading up to their sit down area and large bar, we decided on hi-tops to somehow get a nice scope of Marlowe's- especially an eye-catching floral black and white wall on one side. The food menu is tempting and fierce and when the manager(?) repeatedly told us the cook makes tasty food- that was good sign. The Eggplant chips with a hot honey drizzle my friend and I shared were on thick side- but good. Somehow, I felt these would be on the thin side like the ones he introduced me to at Polpettina in Eastchester. My Portabella taco with corn, cauliflower+other veg was delicious. So was my shrimp taco with red cabbage, cilantro+other veg. Being that I'm not a fan of creamy sauces on some foods, I didn't even mind the crema on each of my tacos. Needless to say, both my tacos were filled to the brim with substance. My only qualm is that one tortilla was used and didn't hold much. Because of the single ply, I was in a bit of a mess- so a second tortilla would be perfect for added strength. Service was fantastic though. Since my friend and I aren't beer drinkers, there was no pressure to drink it.
