Came here with my wife and friends for the second time for my wife's birthday. Our waitress was Alexandra and she was most excellent in every way a customer could want to be treated and served . She went above and beyond. The ambience was also great. Everything was clean & neat and well organized. The supporting staff who touched the tables to clean and pour water were very attentive and very polite and very, service with a smile . Last but certainly not least, the food matched the service and the ambience . Everything was just fresh and hot and well seasoned and it was one of the rare times where I could not find fault with anything . This place gets it. Very nice restaurant, looks small on the outside but it's actually very spacious inside. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. However the food isn't great. I had a chicken dish that had a lemon butter sauce but it had too much of the sauce and it over powered the chicken, the vegetables and potatoes as a side were interesting and could've used some seasoning. I hate to throw food away but I could not eat it or I'd have to pay another bill in the emergency room. It wasn't the servers fault but she seemed concerned enough for me. Went here on Easter Sunday when they were serving a limited menu. Have to say that limited menu was more selections than I expected. Even for me, a person with an annoyingly long list of food allergies there were multiple choices! The pasta Primavera they made me was delicious! The veggies were fresh and crisp. The garlic was cooked to perfection, caramelized like candy. Service was friendly, welcoming, and attentive but not hovering. It was my first time there and I will definitely be back. All I wanted was pizza. Instead, I got cursed out and berated at my own front door. Let me tell you about it. I've ordered from Post 22 several times with no issues. The food is usually solid, and I've never had a reason to complain until now. As someone who worked in the service industry for years (and literally paid for school with tips), I respect tipping. I always tip after the delivery is complete. That's just my personal policy, especially since I've had food delivered to the wrong address before. On this particular day, I was in the middle of a work call when my food arrived. My delivery instructions clearly said to leave it at the door. I managed to quickly say "just leave it," assuming that was that. But later, I watched my building's security footage and was honestly shocked. The driver was caught on three different cameras cursing me out, ranting about tips, and using profanity loudly all the way from my door to the elevator. It's summer. Kids are home. This was not okay. I called the restaurant, and David, who said he was the manager, answered. He apologized and offered me a gift card. I declined. I won't be ordering from here again. He said the driver "would no longer be working there," but also told me he had no idea tips could be added after delivery (which is clearly an option on the app). I've blurred the driver's face and removed all personal info from the receipt in the screenshots I'm sharing. But I wanted to share my personal experience here. This wasn't just unprofessional it was aggressive and completely unnecessary. If I see this man in my building again, I will be filing a police report. read more

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The bread to start was warm and really tasty. I ordered the Pepper Verde Salmon. I feel the salmon was a little overcooked but the vegetables and potatoes were good. I love Posto 22. The ambiance is great and the service is stellar: you're checked in on, but not so much attention that you're annoyed. The food is wonderful, from the soft warm bread they bring when you sit down through to the dessert you choose. I cannot eat white starches, and each time I've gone they've had whole wheat linguine in addition to whole wheat penne (which seems to be the go-to at most other restaurants). Posto 22 has been on my radar for quite some time now since it's only 4 minutes away from my house. I was having a serious pregnancy craving for a penne a la vodka smothered in mozzarella cheese. Ladies and significant others KNOW these cravings have to be met lol! So I figured it would be a wonderful opportunity to give Posto 22 a try. SERVICE: If you look at the reviews below, there is a young lady that mentioned the snarky service she received when she went in as a walk-in. Well, I received very similar treatment over the phone from a gentleman named Daniel I believe. Is it the same person? I'm not sure. The whole conversation felt like I was talking to a high-school teenager pissed off at the world, but all I could do was just laugh it off and wish him the best. The delivery guy was very kind. The delivery was free but of course I gave him a tip and a little extra cause he was sweet to my dog. FOOD: The food was delivered nice and warm. They sent a large amount of this warm buttered bread that melted in my mouth and was honestly the highlight of the meal. As for the penne a la vodka, it was very bitter for some reason. I asked them to add melted mozzarella but they added a much more pungent cheese. I absolutely love cheese but this one in particular just made the dish even more bitter and didn't compliment it whatsoever. The pasta was cooked perfectly though and serving size was very large. Overall, we're in New York and the competition for Pizza and Pasta is tough. Posto 22 gets a 3.5/ 5 for service and food in comparison to other restaurants. read more

Our group of six visited Posto 22 on St. Patrick's night. It had been awhile since we had been to New Rochelle for dining and parking can be a bit challenging. After finding a spot on Main street (only $1 per hour) we discovered that Posto 22 had valet parking available. Our party was sat on time and the service was friendly, quick and efficient. The design of the rectangular restaurant space is a bit odd as the thin bar is in front as soon as you walk in. There was a private party in their secondary large room and there is additional space in the rear of the restaurant. There was a wide selection of menu items and specials to choose from and the group started with friend zucchini and artichokes which were very good. Each couple split a salad (tricolore for me & Mrs.) and they were large and flavorful- really excellent. Bread was provided and the cocktails were well presented. Entrees ranged from Ok to very good with some dishes (A pasta special) a bit too flavorful but the portion sizes were very good. Prices overall were fair for these days $146 per couple all in. Our lone dessert, the apple cobbler, was a disappointment- devoid of flavor. There is a spirited mixed crowd befitting the diverse New Rochelle area so you may have to use your outdoor voice to be heard or it might have been the revelry of the St. Patrick's holiday? Table spacing is generous. Overall we enjoyed our foray to New Ro as a good change of pace. I could recommend this restaurant because if you know how to navigate the menu I believe you can have a very good meal. read more

I asked the two hosts (one guy on the ipad and one girl named Jennifer) if there was a table available and the interaction went like this: Male host: just stick them at this table Jennifer: oh.. thaaat table? Male host: yeah just put them on that table Their response made me feel uncomfortable and extremely unwelcomed. It was clear that the table they assigned us wasn't the best. The fact that they admitted that and had the nerve to exchange that conversation audibly right in front of me was extremely rude and unacceptable. When we got to the table it was super small compared to the others. I understand that we were walk-ins and they were trying to seat us, but they could have gone about it in a better way. A simple: "we're currently pretty booked out but we do have a table, although it's on the smaller side. Would you be okay with that?". For a restaurant that tries to wear a veil of being fancy & elevated, the front hosts embarrassingly lack soft skills. Throughout our dinner, our waiter constantly kept apologizing for the size of the small table. He mentioned that they don't even normally use this table or put it out. When we were leaving, Jennifer was walking guests to their table and my boyfriend and I stepped to the side to let them through first. She rudely demanded "please wait to the side while we pass" in a rude tone and facial expression. Ummm, we were waiting? It's not like we were just going to bulldoze through. Stupidly unnecessary and rude comment. Overall, I felt the food was overpriced for what it was. On one hand, our waiter and waitstaff provided good service and helped to soften the blow of our experience at this restaurant. However, thanks to the hosts, we began & ended our meal on a sour note that left a bad taste in our mouths. I won't be returning. We had our father's post burial luncheon reception at Posto 22. Not only was the food sensational, but the service was stellar! We had approximately 40 people and were provided a back private area. Our request for a couple of extra tables to lay out family photos and access to large TV to run a slide show was ready for us upon arrival! We had a few speeches given and the staff was extremely respectful during these times. They continually checked in to make sure we were all taken care of. From the booking, to the menu selection, pre-event finalizations, day of event, and closeout was seamless, professional, accommodating, and just very well managed!
