My wife and I tried this for the first time tonight. We got the calamari for an appetizer and a couple glasses of wine. Isabella was our server and brought our drinks quickly with a small hiccup on my wine. I asked for the Zinfandel and she brought me a white zin. She promptly fixed it for me and also left me the wrong wine as well. The calamari arrived fast and hot, it was great. We then ordered the King Deluxe Boil, and in less than ten minutes we had our boil delivered. Isabella helped us pick the best option for what we were looking for, we got the house seasoning which is all the different seasonings they have combined, with a medium spice level. Everything was delicious and the cook was perfect. The medium spice level was perfect for my wife as it had a little kick for her. It wasn't over the top hit but really good. I hate that I'm giving this place such a low rating, I really wanted to like it since seafood boils are me and my family's thing. We got the family special deal with the captain special seasoning/medium spice and to our surprise, there wasn't much flavor to it. It mainly tasted like butter with a few areas that were salty. Normally medium spice elsewhere is enough to get a good kick but it felt like there wasn't any spice added to our seafood. The biggest disappointment was the crab meat was VERY salty. My family couldn't continue eating much of it but I managed to finish it after asking for lemons to drench it in to mask the saltiness. The service was friendly, however, we felt rushed in the end and noticed that one of the employees was standing by and watching our table. We didn't feel comfortable to finish our drinks so we left and noticed they quickly went to clean our table as we were walking out. I get it, they want to be on top of cleanliness but I think there is a way to go about so the customer doesn't notice that they are being watched. I know this business just recently opened so I may try it again in the future and hopefully I have a better experience then. read more

TLDR: super salty crab, dull sauce, all other seafood tasted fresh and had good texture. Good service. 3.5/5 if I had the option. I'm honestly so sad I couldn't give it a full five stars! The service was good and quick. Restaurant was big, nice and clean. I was super excited about it! We ordered the family meal (?). The option was 1lb of crab, 2lbs of the other options. We chose shrimp and crawfish then added in a 1/2 lb of mussels. Those three options were great. Perfect texture and fair price for the food. Where things went wrong was the crab. It was so so sooo salty we didn't finish it. I thought maybe our taste was off and brought it home for my mom & aunt. They both had one leg and said their appetite was gone. I'm not sure if they boil it in salt water or something but felt like a whole container of salt was in the meat. The other issue which is a bit odd is there was almost no flavor in the sauce. We got their mixed sauces for the bag and a lemon pepper on the side. Both sauces tasted like nothing. No spice, no salt, no lemon, just butter lol. To be fair the sauce tasted 100% better the next day. I might come back and give it a try if I'm in the area because it looks like everyone else loves this place. read more

Went here after the movies with my sisters. The service was great. Rosemary was our sever and she was very sweet. We grab the family starter which was $62 and it honestly feed more than 5 people. My bf and I came TWICE within a week lol, which is surprising to me because he always wants something different every time we go out. The first time we came was during their grand opening; we've been eyeing this place since we first saw it was coming and was super excited because there's finally a seafood boil in Clovis! Now we didn't have to go deep into Fresno to get it since we live on the edge of Clovis. Even for their grand opening I was skeptic because duh, they're new but the flavor was already on point. Food: We had popcorn crawfish and calamari as appetizers, then ordered the family combo with snow crabs and 2lbs of shrimp. My bf loves the popcorn crawfish from there. The breading is light with just enough crunch, not heavily battered or soggy like some places. I know everyone does seafood boil in a bag as it's done everywhere like that but I think I prefer it being served in a tray where you don't have to worry about the sauce leaking everywhere and it's easier to dip in, but to each their own. I do agree with others that The sauce was quite salty with a hefty buttery flavor; but I still enjoyed it. Dining: big/clean and spacious! I love the music/vibe from there. I went on line scouring yelp back in NY and found that this place does oysters several ways. Fried oysters that is and sure enough, boy did they get that right. We picked the captain sauce with mild spice which was super garlicky, buttery and delicious:-) Lobster was succulent, shrimp were nicely veined and the black mussels were fresh and plump. Service was great as we got seated right away and Daphne was very attentive and answered all our questions. She was knowledgeable about what was in season. Ambiance is bright , airy and fun with a huge lobster and a shark on the walls. A real life size Captain Sparrow statue is there too. Just being a bit nitpicky and I like to offer 4 stars for room for improvement of service and flavor could be improved, but still really good. Service wise, for a 9 person party on a mostly empty Monday night, it could have been better, like checked in on more often.
