Needed a place to eat locally to where I was staying, and I located Capriccio on yelp. Upon entering it was extremely busy and I was greeted by a friendly smile and seated promptly. You can see directly into the kitchen. I was seated and my server appeared, and I asked about the daily specials and there were some on the board. I did take a thorough look over everything on the menu and I took quite a bit of time to be fair. My server brought me some bread and I ordered a glass of wine. The house wine was very good. The menu had a lot of items that sounded delicious and I narrowed it down to two items. I did ask the server about both of them and was informed that they were both good choices and highly popular. I settled on the beef with gnocchi and mushrooms and it did not disappoint. I've included a picture. The gnocchi was very good. The beef was tender, and the mushrooms were not soggy. The mushrooms still had a slight crunch to them, although they were cooked all the way. It was definitely more food than I was expecting, and I still had some of the bread that was delivered prior to my meal. My food came out in a timely manner, even though they were crazy busy my server was attentive, but never hovering which I like when I'm dining out I did want to order some dessert, but I was so full. There was no way I was going to be able to eat dessert. The desserts that I did see looked so scrumptious. What a pleasant surprise this place was! I had not been in the blue Lagoon area in quite some time. I went to meet up with my sister for lunch. She suggested this place. By the outside, it's a regular strip mall and it catches you by surprise how beautiful this restaurant is inside. The service was amazing! We were staying at a near by when we noticed Capriccio's. Decided to have pizza for dinner. Walked in & was instantly greeted by a nice gentleman (may have been owner). I sat in the second half of the restaurant that's decorated like I'm inside a cute cave. I tried some new dishes that were amazing. We searched for the best food near to our restaurant and walked to Capriccio as it had great reviews and we wanted Italian. Service was excellent and we shared the Gnocchi and Tenderloin which was excellent. The gnocchi was delicious, the beef tender and the white wine sauce was *chefs kiss*. 2nd time at this location which is very clean and inviting. Staff is very attentive along with a small menu and some specials for the day. I ended up with the pasta Vongole which is little neck clams down in a white wine sauce seasoned very well with red peppers and garlic. The clams were fresh in the shell and the dish was seasoned to perfection. The only downside was the sand in the shells. There were some that just didn't get the sand out. The restaurant is walking distance from our hotel. The decor even from the outside is nice and even better inside. The employees all wore cool branded clothes. We were greeted and seated quickly. Stumbled upon the spot when looking for dining options near our airport hotel in Miami. Was not expecting too much due to strip mall business, park, location, but we were blown away. The food and the service were exceptional. Had a salmon pasta dish along with burrata appetizer. The menu had so many delicious looking options, and the servings were huge. The wine menu had excellent options and both my husband and I were very impressed at the Malbec and the Cabernet we ended up with. We walked in and were able to get seated right away. They were accommodating since we had a stroller with us. They first served us some bread which was delicious dipped with oil and balsamic vinegar. They had a variety of items on the menu and it made choosing just one thing pretty tough. I went with the gnocchi pistachio pesto and my husband got the paccheri ragu. Both dishes were so good but the short rib ragu really hit the spot. The gnocchi is just a dense dish overall so I got pretty full. Their service was excellent and they were so kind. The Panda Express honestly didn't look fresh, decided instead to try out this restaurant. It was packed inside. Very nice interior atmosphere, employees nice and friendly, good vibe feeling here.
