My husband and I both had the day off so why not start our fantastic day with some breakfast. We normally head downtown or somewhere by our house for brunch but we decided to step outside of the box and try somewhere new. We have been to the Capri downtown. We all enjoyed it there. The food, the vibe and the service was all on point. So, heading to the Capri in Meridian sounded like a great plan. Our experience was great at the downtown location that we were sure our experience in Meridian will be great too. It was right before lunch hour when we showed up and it was pretty chill. We sat ourselves at a booth. A very cute, colorful gal greeted us with menus. Shortly after, our server came and we got our drinks ordered with her. I had asked our server if I can get a fresh basket of coffee creamers. Without hesitation, she said no problem! She also offered to put my coffee into a to go cup. I can't express my appreciation for her and her kindness. Not everyone is this compassionate. My husband got pancakes, eggs and bacon. I got a cheese and spinach omelet with a side of sausage. As much as I wanted the hashbrowns that came with it, I'm trying to be good with my carb intake. I'm almost positive the hashbrowns were going to be money. My husband's pancakes were huge and fluffy! He smothered them in butter and syrup of course. I couldn't resist and had a couple bites. The bacon was perfectly cooked! Not too hard and not too floppy. My omelet was tasty. The cheese was nice and melty. The spinach was fresh and bright. I do wish there was a bit more spinach. Next time I'll ask for more spinach and less cheese, that will be the perfect omelet. The sausage links were overcooked just how I like them. I dipped the sausage in pancake syrup and it was so good! I polished almost everything off. It was quite the meal! Service is as important as the food when you're eating out. And honestly, good service is hard to find. The two gals that were working today were fantastic and fabulous. I appreciate their kindness. Our server was attentive and considerate. Her assistant/busser/hostess was sweet and magical. We were checked up on. They made sure my coffee was always filled. Service was great. I'm happy we got to start our day with a good meal and great service. If this place was only closer to us, we would hit this joint up more often. I look forward to coming back and enjoying another huge omelet. And of course I got have some of them pancakes too.

I am being nice with the extra star because they really picked it up in the end....walked in and it's open seating so we were fortunate and found a table right away. But then sat there for a good 10 mins before anyone paid attention to us. What's annoying and a pet peeve is when others that sat down after us got attention 1st and I think that's the drawback with a seat yourself place. Inside vibe was not sure but either way completely clean. Once we got waited on all things looked up from here. For food I had the meat lovers omelette add spinach and green chilis. This was a very good omelette and was a huge plate of food. My daughter had the Philly cheesesteak with onion rings and while I didn't sneak a bite she said it was very good. My wife had the capri which consisted of ham, eggs, hash browns on top of English muffins topped with cheese sauce. We had to try the homemade cinnamon roll and to be honest wasn't that great. While it had good flavor it was very dry and would've been better a little warm. The other food everyone enjoyed and would for sure be back to try some more of the menu.

We were looking for a place to have brunch or lunch and we drove by this restaurant so we decided to just stop and go in as we walked in. It was very open. It look nice. You could see the kitchen you seat yourself. Someone comes and brings you some menus and some water and ask you if you want something else to drink. everyone there look very chilled. They were in normal clothes. everyone that work there was having a good time they were on their phones. the person who was bringing us drinks and he was walking around talking on the phone the people in the back bar were just leaning against the bar talking on their phones. Once we order our food was brought to us. I have ordered chicken strips when I got my plate you can definitely see they were not chicken strips or the chicken was bad. I don't know once I poked out it and smelt it. I noticed it was fish. The fish was overcooked very greasy my friend order a chicken sandwich and a pancake with bananas and strawberries which I think that was like literally the only thing that was good the pancake that sandwich was dry so once I let the server know that my food was fish and not chicken, she was like oh it's not chicken I'm like no so she went back to the kitchen. Told to cooks and stuff and they apologize and she remade it. I honestly didn't want anything anymore. I was really turned off by the experience and she said I apologize but there's nothing I can do about taking that item out of your bill. I don't have a button for that then she said I'm just not gonna charge you for the coffee. I was OK that's fine but I learn my lesson. I will not go to Capri restaurant ever again a few years ago. I went to the One downtown and now remember why Istop going. Oh yeah, the crackers were old still they had a funky smell and they taste bad. The broccoli soup was very thick. They didn't really have a good flavor. My experience overall was not that great my friend didn't even eat his food either. We just paid our bill and we decided to leave.

Eggs Benedict?

Hi. I love Capris on Fairview. This was my first Meridian visit. The staff was nice and the restaurant was clean. Our coffee and water stayed full. I had the Eggs Benedict. Sad face. Not sure why the ham wasn't on the biscuit. Eggs were near hard. (Ham was very good). It was the sauce: not good not hollandaise not even industrial strength, restaurant grade hollandaise. Not even gravy. I can only describe it as Annie's Bunny Mac n Chz sauce no Mac. It didn't taste bad, but it did not taste good. Thumbs down on sauce. French toast looked very good. Sad face.

Ice cream was crunchy like it was freezer burned. Little to no topping and the place was empty on a 90F day. Will not go back!

We parked next to the restaurant along a little access lane to the back of the strip mall. There is a little outdoor patio. When we first arrived the place was pretty busy, and there was maybe one table on the patio, so we opted to sit inside. In retrospect, we probably should have sat on the patio. The inside of the restaurant is also pretty small. There is a full service bar with seating on the left. Otherwise, there are plain wood tables and chairs. We sat by the window. By the time we left there was one other party of two at a table and one person at the bar. Not to be too critical, but the inside did not feel or smell clean. There was an odor of burnt cooking oil that was somewhat unpleasant, no doubt emanating from the kitchen. The bathrooms were decent. Our server took good care of us, but did not present much personality nor seem particularly friendly. The food was a mixed bag. I had the Grant burger with cheese. The patty was well cooked, medium, the way I like, though I wasn't asked how I wanted it. The bun was good. The french fries, while not crispy, were still good. My wife had the fish and chips. She was not fond of the batter for the fish, finding it a little to heavy and thick, and the fish not as flavorful as she'd like. So, overall, I would say that if we lived in a neighborhood close to Grant's, we might frequent it more. However, we live in Star, and there are restaurants much closer serving the same food that I feel is as good or better.

I was a little apprehensive, which unfortunately, my apprehension was warranted. We arrived around 5:45pm on a Thursday night and were asked if we could wait for 20 minutes. We sat and waited...and waited...and 2 other couples came in and were offered bar or outside seating instead of waiting (seriously?!?! We weren't given those options). One took the outside seating, the other opted to wait as well. We watched at least 6+ parties leaving, but we continued to wait. After 35 minutes, we were finally seated....and there were several empty booths around us. It took almost 10 minutes before our server arrived, so we had our orders ready. Drinks came about 10 minutes after ordering. Dinner came out at 7:15 pm. We had no idea this experience would be this long. Food looked great, but after one bite into my Cajun chicken club, I was really disappointed. The chicken was stringy-dry (at least my jaw got a workout) and the buns were borderline burnt instead of toasted. All the other ingredients (bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese) were fresh and thankfully, enabled me to eat most of the sandwich. We rarely saw our server and both me and my husband ran out of drinks (we even finished off both waters) before she showed up for a refill. We didn't leave there until almost 8pm. Server was very nice, but the pace was a tad too slow...to the point of being absent. Hubby enjoyed his Tavern burger.

We had a fantastic meal here! I ordered the flat iron steak salad, and my partner got the Cuz I'm a Cowboy Baby 1/2 # kobe burger. Both the steak and the burger meat were cooked to absolute perfection (a true medium rare). The lettuce and veggies in the salad were incredibly fresh and crisp, and it was tossed in a delicious, Greek-style dressing that complimented the dish perfectly. My husbands burger was topped with a cheesy fried tatertot and his onion rings were perfectly finished; the batter didnt slip off when taking a bite. It's actually better then most places i've had in Boise ;x Only complaint was the price.. it was about what I pay here in OC - Cali I ordered the "NASHVILLE CHICKEN BENEDICT", which was very big in size and very good. And since it was very big, it meant that I had some leftover to take home. The chicken was located in the center of the stack that was very tender and juicy, which most places would overcook the breaded chicken. So breaking/cutting the egg/chicken/biscuit together was so easy which i was able to take a nice big bite that tasted was excellent. I really like my order... yummy My sister ordered "STEAK AND MUSHROOM PASTA" and "Chicken alfredo" for her boy, which looked pretty good. I sneaked a taste of the noodle w/ alfredo and it was good. Overall, the food and service was awesome. I would most likely visit again to try other things on the menu... probably try the Dinner menu next time.
