I tried it for the first time recently and was very disappointed. I got the chicken parmigiano canzone and spicy fries. First off the menu said 1lb of fries and I got a half pound at best, they were good but for the price they should make sure you get the full amount. The large chicken parm canzone was on the small side, again for price, could of have been cooked a little longer, wasn't cut, and the worst part was they use pizza sauce inside and not pasta sauce like one would expect. They've been in business for 25 years, so they do something right. I had never been there before, but I drive by everyday. I decided to give it a try. I called in an order for a grilled chicken caesar wrap. I was pretty shocked by the price.. $10.85 for a wrap! BUT, when I picked it up, I felt better because the two guys I interacted with were SO nice! It was so refreshing, they were just genuinely nice and friendly! The pizza was okay, but the service was awful! This was our first trip the restaurant. We walked in and expected to be greeted because there was a hostess behind the cash register. Instead of acknowledging us, she walked into the dining and sat down to chat with a friend. We stood there looking for some guidance and we finally sat ourselves. Still nobody greeted us. I finally walked back to the counter once a person appeared and placed the order. It took a long time to get the pizza and it was just okay. I'll probably go back and give it a second try. Good pizza and subs, although not consistent with quality. I really liked this place, usually order on the weekend. I made an order on a Tuesday afternoon, they forgot my topping for my pizza and ended up with a cheese. Still tasted great. A disturbing voice message we received from the OWNER of Capri Pizza in Windham, NH: "Hey, this is Capri Pizza. First of all don't ever order from here again, you classless piece of sh*t. You order food from a restaurant. You know I mean this is how we make our living. You don't cancel it after it's been made, you dipsh*t. We're keeping your number here so just don't ever call here again." Did I catch your attention? Here's the story... We have called this place probably at least once a week for the last 2+ years, usually ordering pizza and salads. Our average order is about $30, so we've spent over $2,000 at Capri. We always order and pick up our pizzas, or we pay the delivery charge and tip the delivery kid. We have never had any problems. Last Friday, Nicole called in our order at 5 p.m. I was going to pick it up at about 5:20 as usual. At 5:02, Capri called us back...here's how that went: Pizza Girl: "Is this John? You have to come get your pizza right now or we're going to throw it out." Me: "Huh? We just called 2 minutes ago, and you're saying you're going to throw out our pizza if I don't pick it up immediately?" Pizza Girl: "What can I say, we're fast here." Me: "Uh...ok..." I thought about this for 30 seconds. I was immediately very turned off by the call, and with two small children, I am not going to dash out the door for pizza before getting them under control. I am also not really interested in arriving at Capri to find out that my order is in the trash and now I have no dinner for the kids. So I called back and spoke to a guy there. Me: "You guys just called me and said that you're going to throw my order away if I don't get there super fast. Please go ahead and throw it away then if that's what you have to do. I'll order from somewhere else." I then ordered from the place a mile down the street, picked it up, and had dinner. I just checked my voicemail and had the message above from the OWNER. Capri instantly went from a staple for us to a really sad example of bad business. We were good customers who came in every week. If you're going to treat us poorly, we'll give someone else our money. If you're going to call our home phone and leave expletive-laden, harassing messages, I am going to feel compelled to tell everyone I know. Wow!! I never write reviews but I had to write one tonight. Ive been ordering from here for about 8 months consistently 1 to 2 times a week.. I sometimes stop in and get lunch but tonight the food was for the family. Got a couple subs a couple salads and a pizza. Very please with the quality and the customer service. Waited a little longer than normal but no big deal. Im not sure if they are under new ownership cause it seems like the people who I used to see months ago are gone and theres a whole new crew. A couple days ago I went to Capri pizza on my lunch break I ordered a veal parm sandwich. The veal parm had to be the most vile sub I have ever ate and I only took 2 bites of the sub.The sub actually had little chunks of meatball and it I don't know how meatball got into the parm sub but the meatball tasted like cat food and really set me off for the rest of the sandwich. I ordered a 18" large cheese pizza it was perfect and delicious best pizza I've ever tasted and I'm very lucky at where i go to I'm not trying anymore places my search has ended. We live 6 miles down the road in Londonderry and they refused to deliver to our home saying they were too busy, The woman who I spoke to, said the owner was standing right next her and told her they couldn't provide service to us. Both are located in a small Plaza on Rte.111 in Windham NH. Capri is actually gaining business from the late night crowd that encompasses the area for drinks at Reds, especially on weekends and holidays. Who doesn't seek out a quick evening bite to offset the flow of alcohol? Anyway, I have been ordering primarily takeout and delivery at Capri's for a long time. The pizza is the big hit here as they offer a delicious variety of Brick Oven, Hand Tossed, Baked Italian Pies! The sauce is sweet and the cheese blend is great. Fresh crust feels light and chewy making for a special, unique flavor that is made consistently time and time again. If you want to go big, then order the 18" XL Pizza. The menu is both varied and reasonably priced. They also include a Kids menu which consists of 6 choices for $5.50. Other menu items include Calzones, Appetizers, Subs and wraps, Salads, Pasta and some other dinners (Chicken& Steak Tips). Catering is also an option. Although I have stuck primarily with the top notch pizza...I have indulged in experiencing a few of the subs. The meatball was average, the "Homemade Tuna was good although the sub roll was not really fresh. The " Capri Special Sub (ham,turkey,Roast beef) was a good choice. Customer service is terrible. We have been going to Capri for many years and had not had a problem, but this was so bad we will NEVER be going back. We order a pizza and when we got home saw it was wrong. Called them and told them and we asked to come pick up a new one. On our way my way to pick up the new one they called the house and told my wife said what we picked up is what we ordered. They then asked us to bring back the wrong order so they could see. When my wife told them I had already came to pickup they got mad. They then proceed to basically yell at us and call us liars even though they got it wrong. I used to go to this place a lot but haven't been in 3 or 4 years. Not sure why I stopped. Their food was good as well as their service. So now they're in a new location that they call an "Upscale Pizza Restaurant". So I guess their meaning of "Upscale" is sit and wait for service because it's going to be a while. Ordered pizza for pickup. When I got home we realized that the bottom of one of the pizzas was all burnt. Since there was a 25 minute wait, my wife decided to eat yogurt. I called when I finished my pizza and explained what happened. Since we had eaten, the woman offered to put a credit in the system. Good right? WRONG. I received a call five minutes later saying that the manager decided that they would deliver another pizza but that was it. No credit.....I offered to send pics of the burnt pizza but was declined. Ordered a tuna sub at the new windham location, picked it up and brought it home it was turkey not tuna like I ordered and paid for! When I called, the clueless girl on the phone who took my order admitted she messed up and offered to have them make the sub I actually ordered but I would have to go there and pick it up again cause delivery would take long. Ordered two wraps. Got one wrap and one salad. Called to say that my order was wrong, and got the biggest attitude from the man answering the phone. He told me that he knows what he heard, and that I was straight up wrong in saying I ordered a wrap instead of a salad. Asked for the manager, was told "I'll have to handle this later, I have a customer". When he finally did contact his manager, I could over hear him tell her that "he knows what he heard, she did not order a wrap". I will NEVER order from them again.
