It suits me and I'm fussy. Talk about a hidden gem? This is it. Unpretentious, owner operated. Simple in a good way. One time I went the owner was out sick. No pizza that night because he wasn't there to make it. How fussy is that? Maximum respect. I drive an hour for this pizza and don't mind a bit. Everything on the menu is good as well. Pleasantly surprised by this spot! The Hot Hog pizza was excellent--9/10--with great flavor, though the dough could've been more even. The pork with capers was fantastic (8.75/10), the salad was fresh, though I wanted a bit more acidity. Also I wish they provided a sharper knife as the standard made it less easy to cut. The Big Buck pizza solid but less impressive (7.5/10). Meatballs were good on that pizza nice and thin. The restaurant is small, so arrive early. Staff was friendly, but loud speakers and kids near our table playing hide and go seek behind the curtains directly next to the table we were sat at, hurt the atmosphere. That's not really specifically I guess on the restaurant, though however, the placement of the table is incredibly close to said entryway. A bit pricey ($19 hot hog and $20 for buck I forget how much the pork was $21-$25), but worth it for date night. Bonus: they have outdoor seating! I do wish they would remove the curtains from the front when you enter it just makes it look tacky. read more

Trip to Tupelo for Marty Stuart, hungry as a dog. We saw an ad for Buxton's, drove over, went by, turned around and found it tucked in the back of a little strip mall. Waiting list, went fast, sat at the bar. Had the mushroom creama pizza and the chicken parm (it was called something else.) The service and food were outstanding, we ordered the same pizza to go. Finally got in this place. Well Worth the wait! We will all be craving this food for months to come. We ordered so much food we could barely walk out, it was so good we wanted to keep trying more plates. From the appetizers to the desert, soda in glass bottles and great service. They change their menu up weekly and prep 3 days a week and are only open Wed to Saturday. They only serve inside and you'll need to get there early on a Wednesday. Amazing!! Tried for the first time today and wish I had known about them sooner. I truly think just after my first visit this is my #1 top rated pizza in the whole state. I have been craving more of an authentic NY/Neapolitan style pizza which is very difficult to find in New Hampshire. I come from a long line of italians, and they'd all be impressed with everything on the menu from the arancini, pasta, and salads to the pizza and sides. Sauce is very flavorful and strained very smooth which I truly appreciate. Real mozzarella is used on all of the pizzas and the toppings are so fresh and great quality. We tried Buxtons a few years ago when they had the food truck and absolutely loved it! We came back to NH and had to stop by their new restaurant. This place is pretty awesome and the pizza is delicious. The service was quick and friendly and the prices are great considering the quality of the food. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Buxtons in Derry, NH. It has become our absolute go-to local spot, and it never disappoints. We've been here countless times, and every single visit has been exceptional. From the friendly atmosphere to the incredible food, Buxton's is always a win. If you're lucky enough to visit when the Spicy N'duja is on the menu, don't skip it! The cutlet is a must. Kale Caesar is phenomenal. The BEST! I am obsessed with pizza and found my new favorite. To date, over twenty years, the original Pizzaria Regina has been my favorite.... until now. Toy can expect some of your experience there to be the same here, small place, cozy, no indoor waiting and all the goodness. What's different is that it's much easier to get there and park. The best thing about Buxton's is the food- probably the best pizza you would get in New Hampshire. However, the service leaves much more to be desired! Absolutely not child friendly and on top of that, the owner/chef (presumably) came to all the tables to ask about the food- except our non-white table! Just went to buxtons in Derry what a let down was told atmosphere was good and service was great . We walked in the door and was greeted by black makeshift curtains. The waitress had to clean a table to seat us and that was fine but when we got to table it was still covered with sticky food from last people. Another server brought a flask of warm water what a joke we ordered a salad server brought it dumped it on the table with 1 napkin no serving spoon . After we scraped salad onto a 6 inch plate and ate pizza came no new plates scraped salad back into bowl and ate pizza off salad plates never were asked how things were . Pizza was good salad OK not great atmosphere tucked price was way to much45.00 for a pizza and salad don't think we will add this place to our list of places to eat​ read more

I would recommend "dinning in" as they get super busy and need to shut down the take out orders. Small place, approx. 10 bar stools, and 7 booths. We showed up at 12 on a Saturday (which is when the open) and by 12:27, place was full. They do a quick turnover as the pie's don't take long at all. (approx 7 minutes) Husband and I came in and each had 1 drink, he did order a beer after (I skipped it) We continued on with the meatball supreme, the ricotta and fresh basil on top of these amazing morsels of meat. We followed that with a Margarita Pizza, it was so good we purchased a second one to take home for later. The salads looked fresh and full of goodness, didn't have one, however they were being made about 4 ft from me so I was able to watch. They did have a sandwich special as well as a pie special while we were there. We didn't get either. Service was prompt, staff was friendly, and get our opion. The "mixed" drink menu was limited, however they did have a bunch of craft brews. With drinks, was a bit pricey, but overall totally worth it. Was it a bit pricey hell yeah, at $87, but that included 2 amazing pies, 3 beverages with booze, and the meatball app. also large. I've been struggling to find really good pizza since moving to southern NH 12 years ago. My struggle is over. I had been hearing good things about Buxton's flor a couple months and finally had a chance to give it a try. We showed up and the indoor seating was full - which is a good sign...so we were redirected to outdoor picnic tables which were fantastic. Sat next to a couple who said they come to Buxtons every week and they go out of their way to make it happen. It's that good. We ordered a couple pies which came out relatively quickly considering how busy they were and let's just say that it was every bit as good as I had hoped. Quality ingredients but the crust is the star of the show. Light, crispy and with the char that you simple can't find anywhere in NH. It's perfect pizza. Service was on point too. Needless to say I'll be making Buxtons a regular stop from now on. read more

The food is pretty good. It's a good spot to go if you're in NH and need quality ingredients. The service however is bad here. The guys they have behind the bar pay little to no attention to if you even have a menu in front of you, if you need a drink because yours is empty etc. Even ordering food was a hassle and it took way too long to get it. When I did get it it was basically tossed in front of me with no words spoken to me. It was an uncomfortable and poor experience. I didn't have any water. I'm not sure if they even give you any here. I wasn't told if they had desserts or not? I saw on their instagram they have before and they looked good. Everything took a really long time and they really weren't very busy. I honestly don't recommend going here unless you can take the food to go. The service ruins it all. I used to love the food truck and I do love the owners. I hope you get staff that like talking to customers, staff that know how to multi task and are cool under pressure and staff that just like to make customers feel welcome and acknowledge them. read more

I highly recommend Buxton's Pizza! We used them for a wedding celebration and it was a huge hit. Their brick oven pizza was fantastic. They gave us plenty of options to choose from beforehand. The presentation was top-notch (photos attached)!! We received numerous compliments about the pizza from our friends/family afterwards. Josh was great to work with. Very accommodating & flexible. He was able to cater to our needs. At one point, he went out of his way to make a personal cheese pizza for our younger niece, without ever being asked! I can't say enough good things about Buxton's.
