Staff was friendly, but loud speakers and kids near our table playing hide and go seek behind the curtains directly next to the table we were sat at, hurt the atmosphere. That's not really specifically I guess on the restaurant, though however, the placement of the table is incredibly close to said entryway. A bit pricey ($19 hot hog and $20 for buck I forget how much the pork was $21-$25), but worth it for date night. Bonus: they have outdoor seating! I do wish they would remove the curtains from the front when you enter it just makes it look tacky.

I stopped by Josie's for a cold treat after having dinner. I ordered a Large Sundae ($8.50 plus tax) which includes choice of ice cream and choice of 3 toppings. I am aware the typical sundae is topped with hot fudge, whipped cream, and cherry. However, I decided on Mud Pie ice cream, topped with Reeses peanut butter sauce, pineapple sauce and crushed peanuts. My sundae was made as ordered and ready in 5 minutes. This large sundae had plenty of hard scoop mud pie ice cream (coffee ice cream with chocolate cookie pieces and fudge swirl), dense peanut butter sauce, plenty of crushed sweet pineapple and lots of crushed peanuts. I enjoyed this sweet cold treat with my dark roast iced coffee. Overall, Josie's Ice Cream Stand is a good convenient place to stop for ice cream, especially on those hot days.
