I was giddy to check out this arcade and unleash my inner child. But after walking through the doors, I was met with disappointment. Half of the games were out of order and the other half ate our points to play the games. I will say, there were a lot of fun games that I haven't seen before. I also noticed, there wasn't a sole attendant for games or prizes and I think that might help as the bartenders were slammed behind the bar and couldn't help. Just across the street from the Fat Putter is this rad Arcade bar and lounge. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Capitol Arcade bar is certainly a different vibe but pretty rad on its own. It gives me the vibe of an 80's Dave and Busters but fit for present day[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. There's a variety of games here, the typical arcade game, and the interactive volcano game was hard but so much fun! We ordered a couple of drinks at the bar and the employee shared more about the space and what they offer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a good amount of seating when you're done jumping around avoiding the volcano and just want to slow sip your drink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I didn't get to check out the prizes but I imagine there are some cool things to win. My daughters and I had a lot of fun here! It's is not 21 and over. Not quite as many games as a Dave and Busters but there was a great variety. It's was not overly busy on a recent Saturday night so we were able to easily play the games we wanted with no wait. This was our second time at Capitol Arcade. We love the location and the atmosphere, but they don't maintain the games. Many games that require a ball only have two or three for you to play with (ex, cup pong, ski ball, etc.) Not sure if we will go back. read more

I have seen some small things about this place and finally had a chance to go! I was so surprised walking in here on a Friday night, with even parking being not an issue! They had plenty of games as it was pretty busy when we went and only had to wait for one of the most popular ones. The Floor is Lava one is so fun and is totally worth it. You do have to load a card with points just like any other arcade. They have a giant bar with a ton of options and the bartenders were nice and quick. I am already dreaming of going again! read more

I absolutely loved this spot! I can't believe I'm just now discovering it! My friends and I had the best time here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's got an old-school, 80s vibe which I'm obsessed with.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We only paid $25 for game credits and that lasted us nearly two hours of fun. They have a solid variety of games and the prize selection was actually pretty decent. I appreciated that the ticket requirements for some of the prizes weren't crazy high like other arcades in the area. I also love that they save your profile too so you can come back and keep racking up tickets to win better prizes. The mission impossible style game was so unique and fun, my friends and I had a blast with this one and the bartenders are AMAZING! super friendly and they added to the fun vibe. Located on the corner of Dodge and 13th St., this retro arcade is a fun one to enjoy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are a lot of games a great bar and even better service. Their menu similar to their sister store, The Fat Putter, across the street with game themed drinks that match to the classic retro games like Mario and Pac-Man. The drinks are very reasonably priced but the games, not so much. The games were more expensive than expected and their mirror maze, which looked appealing when researching before, left quite a bit to be desired. Picture Dave & Buster's but more expensive and less games. [[HIGHLIGHT]]For a bar and arcade they also had no where to put your drinks when playing games which was frustrating and meant our drinks were sat on the floor when playing two person games.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The saving grace for this arcade is there light up lava room. It had multiple games with a lot of opportunities to play the floor is lava, chicken crossing and more.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is something I haven't seen in Omaha yet.
