If you like Tiny House, you will enjoy it's sister bar The Platypus. We stopped in for a nightcap after dinner, and I really liked the mismatched vintage vibes. I had an espresso martini. While this was very good, it was the tiniest drink I think I've ever gotten for a NOT tiny price. Because of this, I'm not sure I would return.

I always enjoy the drinks at Platypus and I love that they have some thc infused drinks for my friends who have switched away from alcohol a bit. I'm always confused at how empty the bar is though, I don't know if I'm going at the wrong times or what but I have been here on more than one occasion where my group are the only customers there. Great for a quiet night out if you're looking for it!

Such a fun bar with great vibes. Perfect setting for an intimate cocktail night with friends. A good selection of wines, cocktails, beers, snacks, and sweets. Good seating indoors and outdoors on the patio. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. Prices are fair to the area. The cocktails were tasty and strong.

i've always loved Tiny House Bar and i believe this bar is owned by the same people. i looooved the vibes here- so cute, cozy and 70s. They did so good with the decor, it would be a cute place to snap some cute pictures while out with friends! The service was really nice and attentive. I was confused at first- you sit down and they'll come and take your order, no need to order at the bar (at least when we were there). Our drinks were also delish. Overall we had a really great experience and I would 100% be back. I'm really looking forward to trying their paninis!

I have probably been to this bar at least 10 times since they opened in December.Super cute retro vintage vibe/decor. Bartenders are really chill. I love the cocktails/wine and the cozy bar seats. And they have Block 16 paninis and little dessert pastries! Honestly it's my new favorite bar. Favorite cocktail is the tulani!

The vibes in here are fantastic! I love the 70s chill atmosphere, I told my friend it's like going to someone's house for dinner and a drink. Will definitely be back outside of the girl dinner event to try more fun drinks. It's the sister bar to Tiny House, which always has great craft cocktails. I was looking forward to checking Platypus out for the first time for the Girl Dinner they have from 5-8 on Wed, Thurs, and Sunday. For $28, you get focaccia breadsticks with red pepper dipping sauce, Block 16 homemade chicken nuggets with sauce, and your choice of 3 martinis. I opted for the dirty martini, and it was good, I would've preferred a little more dirty but it was nice and crisp! The food wasn't a hit for me. The breadsticks were good, but some came out overdone on the crispiness and a bit thin. The chicken nuggets were tasty on the inside, they tasted homemade. They were frozen and air fried upon order, which makes sense needing a lot for orders, but it made them a bit soggy and hard in different areas of the nugget. For the price, I was disappointed in the meal but I'd definitely be back for the cocktails!

They have stepped up their game for sure! New menu, new food options, and more drink options. They take reservations for tables now which was a nice surprise as well. The puke punch says it's strong on the menu and I wasn't ready for it- I was feeling good after that one drink! It's very sweet which makes it the best on the menu for my sweet tooth. Most bang for your buck too! My friend said the zombie was delicious! I can't remember what the frozen drink was but my other friend said it was very good! My husband loved the Mai Tai. The volcano bowl (3-4 people shared drink) was fantastic ! For the food, we were pleasantly surprised with how tasty the spam fries were! The dip was excellent as well! The edamame was good as well! As always, the vibes were immaculate and the staff was super friendly! We loved having our own waitress and table reserved. Overall a wonderful experience!

The servers were always friendly and helpful, and made each drink a show.

Yes, it's changed some - but pretty much all in positive ways! Loved the music and vibes. The bartenders were friendly. Drinks were crazy cheap by Vegas standards. As an older guy now, the most surprising thing was how many college-age straight-ish folkz there were (can't know for sure, of course - but that's what it looked like) It warms my heart to see how friendly, open, and accepting that crowd is. Keep Leading the Charge, Omaha! That being said, I feel that we're losing spaces where just gay men hang out. I miss the sexy, cruisey, brotherly vibe of some of the old haunts. Still, it's a fair trade to see so many ages, genders, and presentations all having fun together. My husband - who is born & raised in Las Vegas - where we live - said "Why do I have to travel to Omaha to hang out in a really great gay bar?!" WTF, Vegas?! Times change, but The Max is eternal!

It is a large dance bar with several dance floors and bars, as well as an outdoor area to sit with a fountain. The location makes this spot difficult to find parking/etc., but most people Uber here which works out fine. We went to the large dance floor to the right of the door and had a good time in a huge crowd, dancing to pop hits from ~10 years ago. I was surprised that this is a cash only spot--we were not prepared so didn't have too much on hand. Overall the drinks were fine--they often overpour, but my biggest complaint was waiting at the bar for about 10 minutes of while we watched others come and go--getting served before us. My guess is these are regulars, as we probably stuck out quite a bit in nicer clothes that we came from a party in. Other than a long wait the service was fine. The good thing about this spot is how unique it is--definitely feels like you are not in Omaha anymore! I can see how a lot of people enjoy the vibe, but it is just not my spot with the music too loud to understand anything, and people bumping into you at every angle. Still a decent location for an after party type thing on occasion! I just wish the bartenders we saw didn't pass us over for other guests for so long.

We first visited PaC at a Yelp event, but now we are hooked on their popcorn! The cocktails portion of Popcorn and Cocktails is nothing to sneeze at either. They are super smooth and flavorful, and the perfect pairing with a little side of popcorn. They even have pairings on their menu that show you which popcorns go best with each cocktail (and each cocktail actually comes with a side of that popcorn). If you like your side of popcorn that came with your cocktail, you can also purchase a large bag of it to take home! Our favorite popcorns have been the French Toast, Bourbon Bacon Cheddar, and Peanut Butter. They have popcorns for every craving - savory or sweet. And the cocktail we've liked the best was the Summer Peach - which literally came with a peach candy on the rim! So easy to drink and a little sweet. Popcorn with cocktails might sound like an odd combination, but PaC does it perfectly and will convert you to a fan of this combo!!
