They'd probably get a lot more people in the door if the person answering phones wasn't so miserable. Bless their hearts.

This review is actually for the next door eye doctor office: Dr. Kristine-Hue Van and Associates,…read moreInc. I am actually on much better insurance this year and made it a priority to get my health and eyes checked. I'm also in desperate need of getting new glasses since it has been about a good 2-3 years since my last eye check up. I actually had a free lunch period and decided to see if they were accepting walk-ins. Parking can be a pain, especially during the crazy lunch rush (it's by Chopt Salad). - The website is pretty easy to use as well, but I wasn't sure of my available time for the week so just walked in. It was pretty quick doing the paperwork and I waited for about 30 mins before getting my eyes checked. Afterwards, I went to the exam room with Dr. Robert Galban to complete my glasses/contacts prescription. I really like how this office is handled. Dr. Galban was very informative on how he was examining my eyes and even showed me my results of my eyes. (It's times like this when you're glad that it's a "boring" exam - I only just meant that I was in the clear! haha). Overall, the experience was pretty good for a walk-in appointment. I only have to do a week follow up on my contacts to make sure that it feels like the right prescription. I really like how the office worked and how they want to make sure that the client is happy with their prescriptions. All the staffs were friendly and very helpful with any questions that I had. I will be definitely staying with them! Thanks for helping me see clear!

Hadn't upgraded my glasses in 6 years, back then I had gone to For Eyes and it was a good…read moreexperience. Went this time and Angela greeted and helped me. I was trying to stick to a budget and needed progressive no-line bifocals. Angela was not pushy in the least. She did not try to upsell me on add-ons I had no interest in and understood my desire to keep to a budget. I took advantage of the 2 / 199 deal so I could get glasses and sunglasses. Angela was Very friendly and easy-going. We talked about our dogs and cats more than glasses. I have every reason to believe that I will be satisfied with the finished product and if they need tweaking, For Eyes will make it right. MD Winegart was also very expedient and efficient. Even had my records from 6 years ago at hand.

I had one of the most frustrating experiences ever with this store…read more Two months ago, I brought in my own eyeglass frame (barely worn) to have lenses fitted. After waiting more than two weeks with no update, I called to check, and only then did they tell me my glasses were ready. When I picked them up, the prescription was completely wrong, so I had to redo the exam and order again. This second attempt was even worse. After another month of waiting--and multiple calls where the staff gave me confusing or evasive answers--they finally admitted that my glasses had been lost in transit. When I went to the store for a solution, here were my options: 1. Choose a replacement frame. At first, one staff member told me I could pick any frame from the wall. Then another restricted me to only the $129 section, and if I wanted something better, I'd have to pay extra. This made no sense--my original frame was higher quality and definitely not plastic, and it was their fault it got lost. Why should my choice be limited because of their mistake? 2. Request a refund. But not immediately. I'd have to wait until the manager came back from vacation to approve it. And given they already lost my glasses, I had no confidence they wouldn't "lose" the refund check too. The excuse was that it wasn't the store's fault but "the lab's" fault--as if that makes a difference to the customer. 3. Wait for the manager. The staff said they couldn't make decisions without her, and they refused to call her because she was on vacation. A store of this size with no backup system or delegated authority? Completely unprofessional. Bottom line: They took my money upfront, wasted months of my time, lost my property, and then made me wait even longer for a half-baked solution. Customers should not have to sacrifice their time because of the store's mistakes. If you want fast, reliable service, and accountability when things go wrong--this is not the place.

The assistant nurse (Ms. Brenda) was very nice & respectful.. I learned so much from both ladies .. I was also caught off guard when the doc ask "how young are you?" I haven't heard that in a while for that I am young in the face but not in age quite anymore LOL. That made me smile all day I will go back to see them.. 4 stars because of wait time.. I was scheduled 1030am & didn't leave until 1 .. NOT SURE HOW THEY ARE STRUCTURED, but in all the wait was well worth it for me since I was off for the day!

I was at my appointment on time, before 4:30pm actually.  I waited no less that 25 minutes before I was acknowledged.  No one was at the reception desk, but I could hear two people talking. I sat and waited. Two people entered the office, both worked there. One sat at the front desk and the other was apparantly a tech of some sort. After completing paperwork, I was escorted to a small room for pre-screening. My screening exam was interrupted so that an exam room for a different patient could be set up. Once that resumed and then was complete, I was again made to wait in the hallway. By now it was 5:30pm. I was given an excuse that some little children were there and that is what was taking time. Those little children arrived well after I was there, during my screeningexam, in fact.  Because of time constraints I had no choice but to leave early. When I left I said I was leaving and neither of the two employees up front said 1 word to me. I know Dr Tabe is a capable doctor, but the last time I was there, I was there for over 3 hours! That was unacceptable.  I also understand during these covid times that staffing is a problem for many establishments.  I have NEVER had this type of experience at any provider.  I will not be returning or rescheduling anything there.

Top quality eye care and state of the art equipment at VEI by Dr.Sherdil and Dr LaRosa…read more Dr. Sherdil caught glaucoma at its earliest stage! She explained everything in laymen terms. CATARACT SURGERY + RXSIGHT LAL (light adjustable upgraded lens) IMPLANTS..... 4 months later healed…read moreand locked in... MY COMPLETE REVIEW: Surgery at Huguenot location smooth but I can also vouch for the complete lack of communication. You can't reach anyone directly after surgery (endless route of ringing back & forth to switchboard) but you can leave one message in general mailbox ( waited forever with no return call more than once). I definitely feel NOW I was not given enough information beforehand regarding the implants + the followup + the results. I can NOT speak for other possible lenses (toric or multifocal) since I previously had lasik and the LALs were my only choice of an upgrade versus standard. Can I say that my vision MIGHT have been the same or better with STANDARD implants? My goal was to eliminate the multiple pairs of readers and see well up close. I should have been told that to see REALLY well up close means ABSOLUTELY NO MID TO FAR RANGE OF VISION AT ALL. I second the lack of communication: for instance, I wasn't told until post op that all my adjustments would be elsewhere with an optometrist at a different- further- location. My postop printed info said to use drops for sev weeks and at followup I was asked if I discontinued them after a week. Everyone had a different take on wearing the goggles. KNOW THAT YOU MUST WEAR THE UV GOGGLES INSIDE AND OUTSIDE while awake. NO STANDARD SUNGLASSES. NO CHEATING. I encountered bigger problems with the communication at the Shortpump branch regarding adjusting my vision (very scary). Their goal is 2 adjustments and 2 lock ins (most everywhere else does 3+ adj or poss more). My honest impression is that THEIR end goal was for me to meet minimal LEGAL driving range-which is only mid range. I was also told that I could keep a spare pair of glasses for driving in my car to read the dash if I got transitions BUT the rx I received was apparently for readers. That will NOT help me see the dash unless I'm parked. Like I said: communication problems. All these weeks of appts are scarce so know your transportation MUST be completely flexible and wait times WILL be lengthy. Also each followup involves major dilation so you really need to have someone drive you. Would I recommend these LAL "upgrades"??? They are VERY pricey and results not NEARLY as adjustable NOR clear as the hype. Forget about test driving your new eyes and fine tuning your vision:( and just pass on these things because from others I've personally talked to, you get same (some better) MID TO FAR vision with standard implants (without doing the four months of 24 hr uv goggles and visits). You will need readers most likely for NEAR vision with standards. Bottom line: I was REALLY hoping for better than the limited vision I now have and I STILL NEED READERS for very closeup (which was my primary goal). Also I might mention I DID opt for mono pre surgery (dominant eye far & other eye near) but now? No more sky watching for my distant eye (blurry stoplights and blurry moon). Close vision IS better than before but still meh (told if I went closer then I would have to "sacrifice" any mid to far range). For VERY close work I DO need readers (eg splinter removal which was my original goal since I do fine artwork, beadwork & jewelry). Night driving? Same or maybe worse than with cataracts-still scared to drive at night. I should mention I'm really having a hard time with constantly dry irritated eyes - which I've SINCE heard is a significant problem with these LAL lenses- specifically if you've ever had a previous problem with dry eyes. Yes. I did. I mentioned that. Nobody said that it would be SO much worse after the LALs. BOTTOM LINE: Can't speak for Toric or Multifocals BUT Personally I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY BENEFITS TO THESE LAL upgrades FOR THE VERY LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY AND TIME INVESTED. Hope this is helpful for those making this very important decision. Best wishes.
