I had broken the stem of my glasses (which I had purchased here previously). I thought for sure I would have to buy new ones since these were six months old. Nope - Annette said they were still under warranty and replaced them on the spot! While there I also bought a "backup pair" which they had ready for me within 20 minutes. 5* service, 5* selection, 5* value! And 5* kindness and attention!

Professional and very quick. I could not believe my glasses were ready in less than an hour!!! I got a pair of tinted sunglasses and a pair of regular glasses. Using my insurance I got the second pair for free! Totally recommend them. Not sure about other locations but the Midlothian one is awesome! I'm telling you and everyone I know. They have their own in-house laboratory. Oh, and they give this super cool glasses case that's so easy to open and close. I got a Michael Kors frame for under $130 that my insurance covered, and it came in this beautiful case with 2 years warranty. Million stars!!

The staff was so friendly from the moment I walked in and I loved the vibe - the glasses are displayed so beautifully and I love the antique furniture and numerous plants throughout the space. It seems like they have so many frame options from brands I've never seen before and at reasonable prices. They have parking around back but I found street parking less than a block away. My eye exam was quick but thorough. Whether you need glasses/contacts/or an exam, I recommend Carytown Optical!

I didn't come to get my glasses adjusted, but when mom picked up her sunglasses, I thought I'd get…read moreit done while we waited. The attendant had the audacity to lie to my face, telling me that since I hadn't purchased the frames from lens crafters, she couldn't guarantee the safety of the frames. Excuse me, what? I've never purchased frames from anywhere except Lens Crafters because of the service after purchase. I buy lenses and get them replaced elsewhere, but none of my frames have been bought anywhere else. Because of this, I KNOW these and all my frames were bought from lens crafters, wether that location or another so I did not appreciate the lie. The adjustment was done correctly and no damage was done to the frames. Lucky liar. I've been to this location before and had far more pleasant service, without being lied to. I'm not sure if this particular associate was new, stupid, or what, but I'd like to think this was out of the ordinary for this store. Either way, I'll be going to other locations going forward. Mom's sunglasses turned out well and she was happy with them.

I was assured that I would receive a credit for an over charge and incorrect order for my prescription glasses. I am pretty sure they never went back to the insurance company to refund them the money. All of the people working there with the exception of one are just not nice people. They don't want to be helpful or take responsibility. I had asked that Dr Roffis reach out to me and explain what happened and to apologize for what happened. (There are too many things to even list here.) I am still waiting for that call. If I can prevent one person having to go through the horrible experiences that I have gone through, this will be worth it. Find another practice!

We had such a pleasant experience at Midlothian Optometric Center last week and I wanted to make…read moresure to leave a review. We had to schedule an eye exam for my mom, who has Alzheimer's, as she's lost her glasses and we've been unable to refill them on a pretty old prescription. All of the employees and Dr. Bennett were so pleasant, patient and caring in dealing with us! It can be very difficult finding providers who are caring and patient, but I was blown away by how easy they made it and the care they showed my mom.

Do NOT purchase the…read moreGroupon for this place and only go if you have vision insurance that will cover the ridiculous cost. The staff was friendly and Dr. Aslop was awesome and very competent, but even after purchasing the $55 Groupon I was out $284 for a total of $339. It was supposed to include an eye exam and $125 toward a pair of frames. Okay, I can pay for the lenses. Those normally aren't too bad. I was charged $50/lense then $75 for anti-glare and another $25 for installation. I was given a $125 credit for a pair of $209 frames. That's where the $84 came from. My recommendation would be go to Sam's or Walmart then send your prescription to Warby Parker. You can get frames and lenses for $95 from Warby Parker which includes anti-reflective prescription lenses, anti-scratch, free shipping and 30-day return. You should be able to get an eye exam and stylish glasses for about $200. Lesson learned.

I returned to have both pair of glasses rechecked and adjusted many times to no avail. Finally I asked to be refunded, but instead they " pleaded" to let them remake one set of lenses, which they did. This week I noticed a crack in the right lense near the hinge area. I visited today to inquire about thei manufacturer's warranty. I was told if could happen if I wore them outside in the sunlight. That's completely unacceptable! I have been wearing corrective lenses for 50+ years and I've never heard that one before. I was told they wouldn't do anything for me.
