My eyes were messed up from a botched cataract surgery and although my eyesight is very diminished from Dominion Eye Associates, Dr. Everhart has been caring and attentive to me at any time I need her. I travel from West Virginia to see her. I dont trust anyone but her and Retina Institute of Virginia which Dr. Everhart introduced me to for advanced retina care and surgeries. Thank you Dr. Evethart and your staff, for being there for me and the other members of my family who feel the same way I do!

After my surgery, Dr. Everhart claimed to leave me a message which I never received. I have complained but told that the phone number is correct and there is nothing they can do about it. Today I drove 3 hours for my appointment and the office was closed. When the receptionist arrived, I received no apology for this miscommunication. Instead of the office charging for my annual exam which is covererd at 100% with a $10 copay, the office fraudently diagnosed me with hypertensive retinopathy and submitted a claim to my healthcare insurance rather than my eye insurance to receive a larger bill for service in my RN professional opinion. I am in perfect health with no medical concerns whatsoever. I have seen multiple eyecare professionals since and without explaining my experience in this office they agreed there is absolutely no signs of hypertensive retinopathy on my exam. I reported her to the VA Board Of Optometry and other government agencies that aid in these fraudulent matters. Beware.

An extremely knowledgeable staff that truly celebrates the moment with you when they fix your vision. The surgery was quick and easy - less than 5 minutes per eye. And there was very little pressure or discomfort. Post-op has been great. Both eyes are feeling good the day after and the vision is progressively getting better and better. Dr. Whitten makes you feel super comfortable, explaining the procedure before going into the operating suite and then keep talking to you to keep you relaxed while the procedure takes place. The office was empty with no patients so that should have been my first red flag. No one even said "Hi." or "How are you?" Nothing. The doctor asked me why I was there and I said I had an appointment at such and such time. He just stared at my blankly and then very condescendingly said "normally, one addresses who they are and why they are here when they walk in" I should have walked out right then. He asked me to fill out some paperwork along with a HIPPA. As I started to read the HIPPA he told me to just sign it and that was just a form to release my information. I told him I knew but I just wanted to read what I was signing. He continued to make rude comments on how I just needed to sign the paper. Somewhere along the way, he walks away and another (unfriendly) staff member tries to get my insurance straight. She took my card and told me I had no coverage for an exam. I told her that was incorrect and I had my breakdown of my coverage with me. I showed it to her and she brushed me off and said "that's not what my system is telling me" She then tried to get my insurance company on the phone but when she was unsuccessful the first time, she gave up and said maybe I could try to get someone on the phone. Umm...that is not my job. That is something you should have done PRIOR to my arrival. After all, that is why I gave you my ID number when I scheduled my appointment. Clearly with the lack of patients in the office they should have had plenty of spare time to do this before I arrived for my appointment. I finally got so fed up with their lack of help and how rude everyone in the office was, I took every paper I signed and left. There were no apologies. No help. Nothing. They are some of the rudest, laziest people I have ever met. I would never go back there and I would never trust this doctor or his staff. I hate that I am even giving them my time right now to write this review but this was just how bad they were. Hopefully I can spare someone else from wasting their time and their patience with this doctor and his staff.

Robert has advanced technology, is meticulous in his exams, extremely knowledgeable in conditions of the eye, has a kind demeanor and has become a family friend (my parents still see him). It was sore and a little bit bruised but that's expected to happen anytime you're cut on and stitched up. The office staff are great from the nursing staff to receptionist and billing is Easy Peezy :) I've had five appointments and each time there was hardly any wait, probably 2-10 tops. I also love their beautifully decorated office. It's comfortable and relaxing. I'm only 52 so if you think you might have skin cancer then get it taken care of right away! In the future I'd love to have a little bit of surgery around my eyes and forehead to rid those bags around my eyes and wrinkles on my forehead. :) Anyways.. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lewis if you're needing a plastic surgeon.

Saw Linda Pinsky to get my prescription updated. The clinic was running behind, I waited for at…read moreleast 30 minutes, told them I had somewhere to be and was still takes at about random things when I really needed the appointment to hurry along. I was "diagnosed" with dry eye which is a "condition" that I informed them about then was prescribed an eye drop that was $500 a month with insurance even after being given a coupon which they clearly did not understand the terms and conditions. I was then billed $600 for my new patient exam and appointment because the appointment was billed as a medical appointment due to my "diagnosis". THEN on top of everything, my prescription was entered into the computer incorrectly and had I not thought it looked low and called to check, I would have ordered $300 worth of contacts with the wrong prescription. The staff here is nice but in my experience very inefficient
