Ambiance (3.5/5): Like most Chinese restaurants, China Chili is pretty no frills. Which isn't a problem for me at all, I'm there for the food. It's a spacious restaurant with both regular tables and circular tables that rotates (good for large groups sharing dishes). Service (4/5): Fantastic service is also not something I expect at a Chinese restaurant. Yet again, I'm there for the food. With that being said, service, while not overly friendly, is typically pretty efficient. Which I always appreciate. Drinks (4/5): Pretty much your standard soft drinks, tea, and a limited selection of alcoholic beverages. My favorite option is their buddha beer which you don't see in a lot of places. It's a lager and it's in a buddha-shaped bottle. It doesn't get much better than that. Food (5/5): The first time I came was for one of my favorite dishes... Peking duck. There aren't a ton of spots in Phoenix that have it, but out of the ones that do, China Chili serves it at a high level. You can go with either crepes or baos (additional surcharge). The duck is absolutely to die for. Flavorful, juicy meat with crispy skin that fits in perfectly into your mini "sandwich" with green onions and Hoisin sauce. For a reasonable price too. Their food outside of duck is of a similar quality. I especially like their flat noodles with beef. Even classic dishes like sesame chicken have a twist here. It's sliced chicken rather than fully breaded chicken. Just as good as the typical way, the sauce is delicious. My only complaint? They give you a pretty small helping of white rice with your dish. Outside of that, the portions are generous. Everything I've had at China Chili has been a hit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The Best Chinese Food Restaurant in Phoenix - A Family Tradition Since 1996 I have been dining at Canton Dragon for nearly 30 years, since 1996, and I can honestly say that it remains one of the best Chinese food restaurants in Phoenix, Arizona. Over all these years, I have had the opportunity to experience countless meals, celebrations, family gatherings, and visits, and Canton Dragon has consistently remained a place where my family and I feel welcomed, appreciated, and like valued guests. What makes Canton Dragon truly special isn't just the incredible food. It is the people, the hospitality, the consistency, and the genuine care they show their customers. After nearly three decades of dining here, I can confidently say that this restaurant has become much more than a place to eat. It has become part of my family's dining tradition. I would especially like to recognize Jim, the General Manager, for his outstanding commitment to customer service. Jim always makes my family and I feel welcomed every time we walk through the doors, and he continues to supersede our expectations. His personal attention, professionalism, friendliness, and genuine concern for his guests are qualities that are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Jim consistently goes above and beyond to make sure that our experience is exceptional, and his leadership is a major reason Canton Dragon continues to stand out. I've been going here for 20 years. Egg drop soup and hot and sour soup are very good. All their fried food is good. Sweet and Sour pork is my favorite. Their fried rice is great. Only dish we didn't care for are Kung Pow chicken. I love their chicken and veggies over rice lunch. They have the best lunch specials. No refills on soda is a bummer. Sweet and sour pork, fried rice, 2 fried wontons, egg roll, and egg drop soup for $5.50 is hard to beat at lunch. read more
