We came in based on the reviews. You can scan a code at the register to get free two hour parking. The service wasn't super fast but they were also making food for four of us. . Three in our group got the sandwiches and I got the mixed grill plate. The mixed grill plate came with a nice little salad and hummus. The meat is served over rice and had roasted potatoes with it. Definitely a large and filling portion. I asked for just the garlic sauce on top. They also have another sauce that was put on the sandwiches and my husband said it was a bit spicy. It is a small place with only a few inside tables. I would definitely recommend and would love to come back if I am ever in the area again. Great food for a reasonable price. read more

I called ahead to reserve a table (lol, NOT the kind of place that does that). It's a no frills kind of place, counter service, hole in the wall kind of place (in other words, my kind of place). Pretty solid shawarma! I got the mixed plate which included beef and chicken over rice, with garlic potatoes, hummus, and salad with caesar (I think) dressing. The shawarma was good with a lot of flavor, and the sauce prevented dryness. The hummus and salad weren't the best, but I still ate it. Service was very fast except for one of my friends who ordered the special chicken biryani, probably because it was a special and not on the regular menu. I would come here again, but I would probably get the wrap since instead of the salad and hummus you get a wrap with fries inside. read more

Being an American I was really intrigued by Canadian donair and the famous 'sweet sauce' made with condensed milk, and I heard from a local that this was a good place to try. It's a hectic, straight foward grab and go spot, a bit understaffed and ordering took forever (to a point where I saw people leaving) and the guy who took my order was a tad rude, but I think he was just overwhelmed. We got the donair plate and shawarma salad and they did not disappoint! Tons of flavor, great sauce, and they are VERY generous in their meat proportions. Very fresh & delicious with super helpful & friendly service. I had a chicken schawarma with everything but the onions and really enjoyed it. My husband had the mix plate with chicken & beef. He really liked it, and commented a number of times about the delicious rice & potatoes of all things. It was a quiet Saturday evening here & I'm pretty sure it was the owner who served us. My family and I stopped here for dinner one night when we were staying in Canmore. We kept noticing it was near our hotel but when we looked it up to see reviews there was barely any information on it. Nevertheless, we decided to give it a try. Turns out the place just recently opened which is why there isn't much info online. It wasn't even listed on here or Yelp. The interior itself isn't anything amazing. It is pretty obvious that they are still designing and getting it together. However, the food was great! They offer beef/chicken/falafel platters or wraps. They also have other basics like hummus, etc. The entrees come with pita bread, rice, veggies/sauces (you choose what you want, think subway set up), and hummus. Worth a visit! I'm sure once they fully get up and running, they'll be very popular. read more

I brought 85 high school students to Canmore on a field trip and we had lunch at this fantastic little spot. Family-run, each shawarma was carefully personalized to what each student wanted. It is rare that high school students will thank their teacher for a meal, but not with this one. Students who had never had shawarma before were excited about it too. We have two students who recently moved to Calgary from Syria, and they said it tasted like home!
