I had some problems with our drain and I called a couple of plumbers for estimate just to check the problem. Ridiculous prices from other plumbers but I had spoke with John and he gave me a very reasonable price. Came the next day, arrived early, got right to it and even recommended to update our water heater because it was dangerous and I had asked him to check for a leak. Our main sewage line was backed up and my wife had Roto-rooter come out and fix the issue. Upon further inspection, they advised us to repair a portion of the sewage line citing root damage and gave us an estimate of $1500. I decided to get a 2nd opinion since $1500 is no drop in the bucket. I called John on a Friday afternoon and setup the appt the next day on Sat. John and Mike came right on time and inspected our lines. John had us watching the monitor with him while Mike dropped in the camera down our line. He said there was absolutely nothing that needed repairing and explained to us certain situations that the line might get backed up. He gave us some great tips to avoiding any future issues. My wife an I were very relieved to say the least. I asked him how much we owed for the services and he said there was no charge! John and Mike are excellent. I just got back from my honeymoon to find out that water was backing up into the shower and my toilets were gurgling. I live in Covina and did a quick Yelp! to find the best rated plumbers. I called two other companies before calling John. The other company's quoted me over a hundred bucks for a main line clean out and tried to add more for extra footage and cam work. John gave me a flat quote for snaking the main line. He also offered me a much better solution of high pressure water for $350 but gave me a 10 year warranty to go with it. Yeah, so if my pipes ever clogged again over the next 10 years, he would come out for free and spray the lines again. He also said that my pipes are so bad that he will just come out once a year to keep it clear. AND YES, THIS WAS ALL INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. So, the initial job was for him to just come out and snake the main line from my clean out to the street. Well, he went above and beyond and did from the clean out into my house and cleaned out all of the grease and gunk build up and it was really really bad. He could have easily turned to me and said he would do the rest of the house for an extra $100 and I would have paid it but nope he just said it needed to get done and did it. I was seriously astonished at the fact that he never tried to increase the price. I've never dealt with a small business owner such as John. He really takes pride in his work and loves his customers. John and Mike were very respectful the entire time and never talked down to me like I didn't understand. They were very patient and took the time to explain everything. They both always had a smile on their face, were very professional and cleaned up everything when they were done. I was worried because there was a bunch of grease and gunk that came out but they cleaned everything up. The best part is, I never have to pay another plumber to come clean out the pipes again, John will come back at any point and clean out the pipes again. I'm truly amazed at John and Mike and their work. Side Note: Over the past year and a half I've had sewage line issues and have had at least 4 other plumbers come snake the line or replace sections of pipe. They have all quoted me well over 10k to 15k to have the pipes replaced. John gave me a quick quote of 7k for the whole job which is amazing for the amount of work that has to be done. John and Mike are my go to plumbers from now on. Oh by the way, I contacted him at like 9am today (Monday Aug. 25th) and they were at my house ready to work an hour later. They were onsite for at least a few hours and never once complained or try to up-sell on anything. Everything was included. I highly recommend John and Mike, you won't be disappointed! read more

Setting up am appointment was a breeze and they even arrived a bit earlier than scheduled. They were very courteous and professional. After assessing the proposed job they told me that I really didn't need any work done. I wasn't even charged for the visit! Called late Saturday afternoon and he showed up promptly Sunday morning on his day off. I had a clogged backyard patio storm drain. I had 2 other companies estimate from $750 to $1700 without even looking, that just there rate. John was ridiculously less and worked for over 2.5 hours to unplug my storm drain. Unbelievable how professional John is. Honest,upfront and no BS.. I highly recommend Canfield plumbing for any plumbing need. Mike installed a new garbage disposal for me a year ago. He was very polite and personable and did a nice install. I was having a problem with my disposal recently and gave him a call. He came out the same day (squeezed me in to a full schedule) and was able to diagnose a problem with my electrical connection-disposal was okay. He didn't charge me for the visit or the diagnosis.
