We decided to come here for dinner one night simply because they had a dog friendly patio area but was pretty impressed with the pizza by the time we left. We ordered the Fried Nuggz, Honey Bastard (mozzarella, hot soppressata, bacon marmalade, habanero honey) as well as The Betty (bolognese, sausage, ricotta, mozz, and prosciutto. Personally, I loved the Honey Bastard more. There's just something about that salty, sweet, and spicy mix that I absolutely love. There are definitely some unique pizzas which all sound amazing, including a pizza of the month which consistently changes. All of the pizzas are around $16-$18 so it's a bit pricey. read more

Food is very tasty but the service sucks. We waited for more than an hour to get our order and the restaurant wasn't full at all on a Tuesday night. Never got a refill on drinks or any good attention from the waiter. Really disappointing. I won't recommend. read more

Service is slow, food takes forever for a pizza that only cooks for 90 seconds. Children's drinks are $4.00 each and food way over priced. Used to work here and pizza and food quality has really gone down hill. Pizzas tasted burnt. Overall terrible experience. So sad to see a former favorite decline. read more

Service was kind of slow. The pizza was okay but what I didn't like was when the staff was touching the pizza with her bare hands. The manager (glasses, dark hair with bleached ends) was touching the pizza to fix them on the plate. I had her seen touching things that were visibly dirty and then touching the food? That is disgusting. I only ate few bites. read more

We showed up to a nearly empty restaurant and food took an hour to arrive. The waitress was MIA when our glasses were empty and we complained to manager, who said maybe the waitress held the dinner ticket. Food was only warm, not hot, and marginal in taste. Our server provided very poor service and there was no acknowledgement. We will not be back. read more

Very unfortunate updates ahead. This was our go-to restaurant that always kept us coming back. Went back tonight for dinner though, and was wildly surprised... Not only were there menu changes, but those menu changes have simply removed ingredients from dishes and added them as extra add ons. From the pictures I've provided the portions are smaller, quality is lower, and prices are higher. These seem like conscious decisions that unfortunately will keep us from coming back. Can no longer recommend :( read more

I'm a pizza snob... but saw this spot on Triple D Nation. My sister was in Dallas at the time and I sent her the info. She absolutely loved it's n equally a pizza snob. Another friend went at a later time and absolutely loved (we for all from LA.). Sooo. We order the Burrata & Cherries for appetizers, Capra Salad, three pizzas: Cane Rosso, Straight Fire, Honey Bastard, and the dessert pizza with vanilla mascarpone with peaches (and extra peaches). Their balsamic reduction is INSANE! Our server Zack was the best... $2 mimosas-WFT??? Absolutely everything I expected and more. Five stars for Zack and the food. read more

We've been going here since they opened their doors... I don't know why I haven't posted a review before now. We love this place. The ovens there are the real deal! Their food is great! Gourmet pizza should NEVER be ordered as takeout. Gourmet pizza should ALWAYS be on location. Even though they do well at takeout, gourmet pizza just isn't the same when you get it home... So, just don't. We love all their food... They're the reason we HAVE to have arugula on our pizza now, LOL. I think we've tried every single pizza & enjoyed them all. We each have our favorite... not going to give that away so you can try them all as well! Their Lasagna is divine... it sells out. They took the brussels sprouts appetizer off the menu that I loved, but I totally understand that's probably not a big seller & need to keep with the best options. Cane Rosso is a small Dallas based chain that has survived the pandemic... Not one person or business can be perfect all the time no matter how hard one strives... So, keep in mind that the ovens to cook your pizza is WOOD BURNING & your crust is going to be charred a little. This is GOURMET PIZZA not Dominos. So, give it a try & a little grace for something you're not used to... In other words, don't send the pizza back: the charred parts are supposed to be there. Too bad I've never taken any pictures... Will have to add some the next time we go. read more

Cane Rosso is a great restaurant for its quality of food, selection of food and quality customer service. We used them to feed over 70 teachers at our daughter's school. Elizabeth took great care of me today. I got a BYO margherita pizza and it was delicious as always.

My, my my! This restaurant is walking distance from my apartment and I love to meet friends here for dinner/drinks! The manager is always soooo inviting, I can't recall his name but he's short with dark hair, he's amazing! Now the food! Always hot and delicious! No matter what pizza I choose to eat that day, I add the hot honey sauce (from the honey badger pizza) to every pizza I order. It's so good! Great food & atmosphere always! read more

I'm a long-time Cane Rosso fan and even though I don't live in the area, the Carrollton location has become my go-to location. - Atmosphere: This location is in the heart of downtown Carrollton. There are quite a few free parking lots in the area, but if they're full, there's plenty of parallel parking alongside the apartments in the neighborhood. The inside is spacious, making it a great place to make a large group reservation. There's also a dog friendly patio with heaters and weather flaps, so it's great place to sit outside even in the cold. You can also order your Cane Rosso to-go online and take it to 3 Nations Brewing nextdoor. - Service: On busy days, sometimes it can take a little time to order, but the good news is the pizzas come out extremely fast. My only other complaint is since I have an unusual name, the majority of time I order online, when I go to pick up my order, they say they don't have an order for me and it takes a while before they find my order. Other than that, service is great! - Food/Drink: I love the Capra 2.0 salad as a starter. Hard to beat a salad with dried cherries! The classic starters are great, like the crispy brussels and fried nuggz. Pizza-wise, the Honey Bastard is a must for the combo of bacon marmalade and habanero honey. Otherwise, I love the Zoli, Proscuitto and Arugula, and Truff Daddy. They have great monthly pizza specials as well. Cane Rosso has plenty of vegetarian options, vegan cheese, and gluten free dough, making it a place where anyone can dine. Definitely save room for dessert as the tiramisu and dessert pizzas are great! I love that Cane Rosso has a good selection of local beers on tap and a nice price range of good wines. - Value: Pizzas range from $17-20 and are six slices per pie. I typically eat 2-3 slices so Cane Rosso is more expensive than a typical pizza chain, but the flavor and quality make the price worth it. read more

Not Bad, looks pretty for a good photo too! Picked up the Betty white sauce and Zoli red sauce on a 4pm weekday. Service was safe and pizza came fresh right on the dot when we requested the pickup time. The sausage is legit with real fennels you can see and the red sauce pizza had a pretty decent kick to it! The white sauce Betty is an underdog and I'd recommend it! They have plenty of different styles to go for and both these are gonna be fine choices. I just wish there was less "crust" since the flavor is more impactful in the 1st few bites so I kinda smooshed some of the flavor down to the crust haha. read more

We went on a Saturday a little close to closing, but we were seated right away, got our drinks pretty quickly, it took a minute to get our order in but the food came out quick! My husband ordered a pizza, half Emma half Jabroni and I ordered the chicken parm. The pizza was wonderful! I love woodfire pizza, the chicken parm was just okay, big portion but wasn't a huge fan of it. The ambiance of this place is pretty nice. It had a wall of painted celebrities that was neat! Our waitress was hard to find but since it was close to closing I knew she was trying to wrap her shift up. But this experience was a 8/10 I hope we get to revisit when we go back into the city. read more

We ordered pick up from here and took next door to the brewery. The pizzas were good, keeping in mind the crust is thin and soggy so don't load it with toppings. The focaccia bread was basically a dry whole pizza dough. It was not cut at all so it was very difficult to eat, considering no silverware were provided either. It would've tasted good with a dipping sauce of some kind. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, it is just convenient due to location and proximity to the brewery. They could definitely stand to be more mindful of pickup orders. read more

Great experience at Cane Rosso in Carrolton yesterday for lunch. Submitted an on-line order for a 1:00 pm pickup. I walked in the door at 12:59 pm and was greeted at the door by one the hosts. With a big smile he asked if he could help me. He proceeded to help me find my order and asked me nicely to make sure my order was complete. In and out in less than 5 minutes. I don't get that type of service very often. And the pizza was still hot when I got home and it was fantastic. read more

Cane Rosso is a pizza restaurant that specializes in Neapolitan pizza. In the time of COVID-19, Cane Rosso has created a social distant friendly pop up in the location once occupied by Monkey King Noodle Company. This fast-casual spot also includes treats from Cow Tipping Creamery. This review is for the outdoor pop up shop. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Facility, Return) Atmosphere - There is mostly picnic table seating - each within six foot from one another. There is limited shading but it's outdoors. During cool nights it's great, but when the hot Texas summer arrives it may not be as inviting. On my two visits 90's rap was playing. All good but you know the heat is coming. 1/2 Star. Service - Unlike the sit down Cane Rosso a block away, there is no wait service. Instead, you stand in line - again social distant compliant - and you order at the register fast casual style. When your pizza is ready they'll call your name and you pick it up from the windows. Fast, friendly, and efficient. 1 Star. Food - The menu is limited only to pizza. If you're a fan of Cane Rosso's Neapolitan pizza (I am), you'll be right at home. If you want appetizers - sorry. Other Yelp reviews cover the style of pizza in depth, so I'll just list my favorites: Honey Bastard, Margherita, and Prosciutto and Arugula. The pizzas are then and soft in the middle. You can also get dessert from the Cow Tipping Creamery menu - Reese's Witha'spoon is my favorite. 1 1/2 star. Will I Return? - Yes. In a pandemic, the safest way to eat is outdoors and within 6 feet from others. Add great pizza and the Cane Rosso pop up shop checks all the boxes. Still not convinced? It's BYOB. See you there. 1 Star. read more

Awful customer service. Placed an online order. Was informed to pick up in 30 minutes. When we got there we're told order was not ready. Waited another 30 minutes and we're told it was being worked on. They expected us to take them which we refused as they were cold. Manager came finally and we asked them to remake the pizzas. Almost an hour and a half later. No apology. Nothing. read more

Best pizza in Texas, even though it's a chain. We started going to Cane Rosso in Houston, but it wasn't until family moved to the Dallas area that we made it one of our regular spots every time we're in town, and this is a location that I highly recommend. Every pizza on the menu is good. Some are a little more Texan than Italian, but no matter what you're going to get a quality pie made from quality ingredients. Anyone whose been to Italy (especially Naples) knows what true authentic pizza tastes like. In the great state of Texas (I wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as soon as I could), this is close you'll get to the real thing. Figure you'll spend just under $20/pizza, and each pizza will feed one hungry adult. I like to walk in, order my pizza at the desk, and then go next door to 3 Nations brewery and have a pint of their Haze Wizard IPA while I wait for my pizza, and then get a 6 pack to go and take home. Enjoy this spot. The people are friendly, the service is great, and the pizzas are insanely delicious! read more

I never write a review but tonight I had the worst customer service experience of my life, thanks to my server Victor and the Assistant Manager Matt. I went for dinner with a friend and my mother and when we went to order a drink and appetizers - I was carded. I provided a temporary paper license provided by the state. Our server Victor told me he would have to ask his manager if that was acceptable - I worked in the service industry for nearly 10 years and it is absolutely acceptable however the assistant manager Matt denied me. After questioning his reasoning Matt the assistant manager waffled back and forth between blaming TABC and Corporate while saying the paper license can't be validated and they have ways to check a real ID if they think its fake (which is the barcode on your ID, which my paper license has) he told me he could serve me but he was choosing not to - fine. Again, I'm with my mother and I myself am 33 years old so we asked if my parent could order my drink for me (which is ridiculous to ask but is legal in the state of Texas). Again he denied me service. While I was not happy at this point my party decided we would leave to eat at another restaurant but I asked for the information for corporate before leaving as well as their names. Rather than just giving me his name and leaving the situation with the manager, Victor told me to "grow up, and act like an adult" certainly not the best way to handle a disgruntled customer and an opportunity to reteach some basic customer service skills. Finally, after waiting for the assistant manager to bring me back any kind of contact information for corporate I was told he didn't have any cards, the phone number to the manager, any contact information for corporate but after not accepting this he finally gave me the email to his general manager. I have been coming to the Carrolton and Deep Ellum locations multiple times a month for years, love the food, but I will not be back. I understand the issues with alcohol - although as a bartender of nearly a decade in Texas I can say for a fact they are going far beyond what is required of them; From a customer service professional I cannot understand the assistant manager's avoidant behavior and the server Victor's demeaning and combative behavior when asked for his name would be cause for termination for anyone I employ. read more

My favorite pizza spot in DFW! I'm a repeat customer, and I've never had a bad pizza here. We came for happy hour, and it's a really good deal - $7-9 for select pizzas and discounted drinks. I tried the Emma since it was one of the happy hour pizza options, and it was delicious. Otherwise my usual is the honey bastard, and it's the perfect combo of sweet and spicy. It's sporadic when this location is super busy or not, so I would recommend grabbing a reservation in advance just to be safe. read more

This restaurant is dog friendly so if you happen to have your four legged friend with you let the staff know and you will be seated on their outdoor patio. It was super good and cheesy, loved it. For the pies we got: Honey bastard, my husband and family really liked it, I think for me it was that contrast in taste that wasn't really for my flavor pallet. Prosciutto and Arugula, I loved the way this pizza came out it was tangy from the arugula and salty from the prosciutto, it was absolutely beautiful. We got a third pizza and I can't remember for the life of me even looking at the menu but all I know is that one ended up being my favorite. Quite a wait for a pizza ordered as a take out. I didn't feel like dining in. The location is a great area of downtown Carrollton and around plenty of other shops, bars, boutiques you name it. But I'm here for the food. And this pizza was underwhelming. I loved the flavor but the bottom of the pizza was a bit burnt; maybe it was left in the forno too long, who knows. I love that the pizzas are baked in a classic way. When they are done right they hit the spot, but it wasn't my night. I would've also like more chicken on top. It looked like they threw on half a chicken breast. Naturally this all made me feel bad for spending $25 ish for a 10" pizza. read more
