Something has changed. The cheese is different and not good, and our pizza and wings were so cold it seemed like they were cooked in the morning and kept in a warmer. Whenever I want their pizza, I deliberately drive to their Carrollton location even though there is one much closer. I enjoy sitting at the counter watching whatever game is playing while waiting. Most importantly, the slices served here are better quality. Unfortunately, the slices served were not their expected quality. I had a larger appetite, so I decided to order two. I've been here 3 times in the last 2 months and think this place has a really scratches an itch I didn't know I had. It straddles a weird intersection of neighborhood bar and casual, family friendly restaurant. I feel comfortable going to on my own but works just as well as place to take a friends and family to unwind after a hard day as well. While they offer smaller speciality pizzas, wings, salads, ginders, and more, I've been personally drawn to their pizza by the slice, the "slicezilla". This is a 12 inch slice of pizza that is 1/6 of their larger 24 inch pizza, the "piezilla". The pizza isn't going to blow your mind and could use some more seasoning from the kitchen for my tastes but it is serviceable overall. Instead the larger appeal is the aforementioned atmosphere and the value for money. For $5-7, I find a slice is enough for a satisfying meal while not breaking the budget. You can add a soda and still be under $10 or if you prefer a beer or glass of wine and be around $15 before tip. In this economy it's hard to even find lunch for under $15 at a sit down restaurant, much less with an alcoholic drink in the mix. Speaking of drinks, they offer 8 different kinds of wine for $7 a glass with a pretty heavy pour and around 12 beers on tap as well. The beer covers a mix of local classics and other craft choices and really is a surprisingly good selection for a pizza place. If you enjoy a good craft beer it's a nice bonus. There is something really special about this place to me that makes it better than the sum of its parts. It's a low frills, counter service pizza and beer place but for some reason I like it more than I feel like I should. It's surprisingly quiet even a low background soundtrack or "fail video compilation" playing on the TVs behind the bar. Even around peak hours seems to only have a handful of other people there at a time when I've been there so I wouldn't expect a high energy environment on the average night. I see it more of a relaxing place to enjoy a good deal on pizza and beer instead and would recommend it to fans of either. read more

Having given up on our previous "go to" pizza joint, we decided to give NYP&P a try. We got the Bronx and brought it home. It wasn't the Bronx, it was The Bomb! Great pizza! At 14 inches in size, it easily feeds three. Also, the garlic knots are right on point too. We liked the pizza so much, my wife asked me three days later to order another one! She's not really a pizza girl, either. The 2nd time we got one with pepperoni, meatball and prosciutto. Even better! Had delivery from here at a friends place for New Year's Eve. There was a 5 Meat Piezilla $39.00 and a Pepperoni Piezilla $30.00. Their piezilla size is 24" diameter. The pizza is solid, large slices meant to be folded as they should be. Good sauce and quality toppings, very tasty. I am going to see if there is one of these places near where I live. Ordered through door dash and received hot and delicious pizza. Haven't found a decent "NY style pizza" in the area and I feel like this is as close as you'll get. Not like I know anything. Not a New Yorker by any means, but I have had the thin, bready and chewy crust with delicious sauce and cheese that folds just right before and this was all of that. Their garlic knots are delicious and it's the zesty marinara that makes it. We got two of their normal pizzas and garlic knots for $50 so it's definitely not cheap, but it was delicious and enough for 4 people. Fresh ingredients and delicious to go. B.Y.O. PIEZILLA four different perspectives: The person that ordered the pizza with the red and greeen peppers really enjoys it; he likes that the sauce is not salty. My cheese lover says initially it was ok; however, the larger slices are too cheesy. My meat lover says the pepperoni, sausage and bacon toppings were ok. My perspective: I tasted the three different piezillas. We ordered five. Cost $100. Overall the slices are huge, crust is soft, well cooked and foldable; however, the sauce and toppings are bland. I am absolutely blown away by my experience tonight. The food was fantastic, but it was the service and care that I received that made me a customer for life. So, this location had a rough night. They were severely short-staffed on a Friday night AND running a Spirit Night for a local school. The owner and one of his friends were running their tails off to try to take care of everyone. I had placed an order online for pickup. After a long wait, the owner came over to talk to me because he wanted to do what he could to make it right. And he did. He gave me the option to get a full refund, but then he told me that if I was agreeable, he could have the order ready in the next 20 minutes and would have it delivered immediately. My family really wanted pizza from their restaurant, so I agreed. The owner kept his word 100% and brought us steaming hot food in just over 20 minutes. And he delivered it himself. I'm 42 and I've never had such exceptional service at any restaurant before. Thank you for taking such excellent care of us tonight, Scott!! I received a message from owner Scott asking if he could make my previous order right. I received a margarita pizza without basil. He and GM Annie agreed that they were busy and threw the tiny bits of dried basil on my pizza instead of doing it correctly. I have to say, I truly appreciate a business that is willing to make it right. That says a lot about the pride they take in their product and business. This is an important quality. The pizza I received tonight was loaded with fresh basil. The flavor was so much better, and I'm glad Scott reached out. This pizza was 10x tastier with all the basil than the first. I have never been to their other locations but I watched the sign go up and waited for their grand opening which was yesterday. I love pizza and it's always nice to support any local business especially on their first day of business. After looking over the menu I decided to get a slice of pepperoni pizza but before placing the order, the guy behind the counter pointed out their chef's special which included 1 slice of pizza, caesar salad and a drink for $7.99 or you can add an additional slice for an additional $2.00. I'm not a big soda drinker but they have so many flavors that I didn't know which one to choose. I finally decided on the Lemon Berry Acai. It was delicious and I will definitely be getting that one again. For those of you that don't feel like getting out of the car, they have a drive thru. Also, outdoor seating. Their pizza is great, excellent customer service and their prices are reasonable. My only regret is not asking for extra cheese. Spent 24 bucks took 2 bites and threw it away. Save your money and don't waste your time here.
