I called ahead and made an appointment for later that same day. The receptionist, Rosa, was awesome and super sweet! As a first time client we showed up a little early to fill out some paperwork and were seen promptly. Dr. Reid is insanely knowledgeable and has a clear love for animals. Our little guy loved her! We were concerned about our dog having severe stomach issues, but Dr. Reid quickly put us at ease. We were given an estimate for the cost of services and were able to fit the meds he needed into our budget. As first time clients we were given a folder with additional information as well as options for insurance and emergency services in the area. It feels great to know that we've found a great vet in the area! read more

I've been coming to Campus Vet Clinic for over five years. My cat was 9 when we first started seeing Dr Reid. I now see Dr Parsley (our schedules just happen to align better). Both vets and the entire staff are incredible. They talk to me about the pros and cons of every decision, clearly describe the price ranges of anything we do, and walk me through the best option for my budget. When my cat had to go to the emergency room, they called me a few days later to make sure she was doing fine and asked if there's anything they can do to help. I can't express how much I trust both doctors, and as my cat gets older and the decisions become harder, I'm glad I have Dr Reid and Parsley to rely on. Thanks, docs. (PS for others who bike their pets to the vet: there's convenient bike parking, which I appreciate.) read more

Campus Veterinary Clinic, you are really screwed up. I bought a cat from a shelter and took her here for her first vet visit. After evaluating her, they told me she had fleas, cavities, and a cancerous lump. I freaked out because I had just fallen in love with this cat and I didn't anticipate having to pay thousands of dollars for surgery on teeth and potentially cancerous lumps. I simply couldn't afford it. Long story short, it turns out my cat has no cavities, and no cancer. I told them I was short on money and asked if there was any other way we could proceed. After all, she seemed happy, had an appetite, and was processing her food. They didn't seem to understand my situation and strongly encouraged me to schedule a $3000 surgery to remove her cavities and remove the lump. So I paid for some overpriced flea medication (which they highly recommended), paid for a stool sample to be evaluated (they charged me for this without mentioning it during the exam) and scheduled a time to return for her surgery. I took her to another clinic where they cleaned her teeth and after doing so, reported no cavities. My dad, a family practitioner (doctor), asked me more about my cat's mysterious lump (how it felt, where it was located, etc.) and told me he thought it was benign. Then he reasoned that, if she was active, eating, and overall healthy, she didn't have cancer... And if she did have cancer, it would have probably spread already. So this all means that there was absolutely no reason for me to throw down $3,000 for my cat. Campus Veterinary Clinic, shame on you. Really. Shame on you for trying to take advantage of a concerned, trusting college grad with very little income. I understand you're trying to make money but this is just plain wrong. read more

I really hate writing this poor review because I have had very positive past experiences with both Dr Reid and Dr Yen, but I feel that it's necessary to let Campus Vet's know that they are disappointing their customers. I called the office to ask the vet a question about my treatment options for separation anxiety in my dog. The following day, rather than the vet return my phone call, a very sassy front desk person returned it saying that "the vet will not talk to you without an appointment." This was over the answering machine, so I thought I would give a try and call back. When I called back, the receptionist remained equally as sassy. I told her that I had no problem paying for an appointment, I just wanted to talk to the vet to get a birds-eye-view of options before bringing him in. Exasperated the girl exclaimed "YOUR OPTIONS ARE MEDICATION OR OBEDIENCE TRAINING"!!! She continued with- if you would like to pay the same price for a phone call as you would for bringing the dog in, then I can have the vet call you. Basically, I was being pointed at as trying to get free medical services, which was not my intention AT ALL. It is likely fine to triage phone calls to a vet tech or similar, but please make sure that these people are both intelligent and capable of providing a supportive answer, rather than a sassy smack in the face reply that implies the caller is just trying to get something for free. It would have been much nicer if say, one of the techs called and said "Hi Dina, I've met you before when you brought your dog in, this issue can't be addressed by the vet over the phone, but these are your main treatment options. If you want to elaborate on which is best for your dog, you'll need to set up a paid appointment". Honestly, while I think that both Dr Reid and Dr Yen are fantastic doctors, this is not the first time that I have had disappointing interactions with their front desk staff. As a client, it's very frustrating and encourages me to poll my friends (and Yelp) for other vets in the area. read more

It's been 6 months since my beloved cat Ty passed. Campus Vet sent me a beautiful gift and card from the whole staff when he passed. Today, they sent me another thoughtful gift. They took amazing care of Ty for almost 20 years. And they are still taking care of me. This is why I love Dr. Reid and her team. Someday, when I have another cat, that's the only place I'll go. They are not only offer great for pets, they are wonderful to people, too. Thanks from the bottom of my heart! - Michael Roberts read more

My cat Toshiro is the number one four-legged man in my life (two-legged is my father.) I like to think that I treat Toshi right. He gets face massages. Wellness cat food. A day bed. No questions asked access to my chest. Just after adopting Toshi about a year ago he became very sick. Listless. Wouldn't eat. Lost that kitten spunk. Dr. Yen was able to see him immediately, on a Saturday, and did not charge me for the exam because I had adopted Toshi from the animal shelter. He hydrated Toshi with a hyperdermal water sack, and prescribed kitty antibiotics. Hours later Toshi was eating again and he hasn't stopped since. In fact, he loves food so much that I have to get him a new carrier so we can go to his annual exam with Dr. Yen, because he is too heavy for the one we have! read more

One word: awful. We have taken our dog and two cats there over a period of 4-5 years. And in that time we have spent a few thousand dollars with Campus Vet and never have received a diagnosis that did anything other than bring us back to Campus Vet to spend more money on inconclusive tests and misdiagnoses. Dr. Reid is a nice lady (not so sure about her diagnostic skill). But the boss man, Dr. Yen has a horrible bedside manner. He doesn't appear to actually like animals, or people for that matter. He just appreciates and takes your money... in fistfuls. The staff that answers the phone will almost always put you on hold when you call in. And if you cross them, they are snide and snotty. I gave this place one opportunity after another to redeem themselves, but alas, I should have just taken my business elsewhere - which I did. And now I am much happier. After ONE visit, my dog's skin issues were diagnosed and corrected. Avoid this veterinary money pit and the nonsense that comes with it. Oh, and in case you're wondering where this disgruntled gal now takes her pets: I go to University Veterinary Hospital. Love Dr. Mattu and the staff. Much, much, much better. They restored my faith in veterinary care. Try them. read more

Dr. Reid is a joy to work with, the staff are so friendly and pet centered. I have been going to them for about 3 years now and they were amazing to work with when I had to put down my first cat last August. Its such a difficult experience and they made it as smooth and painless as it could ever have been. They followed up with donation in the name of my girl to UC Davis vet school which really touched me. I am always a little sticker shocked when I get my bill from them but I think thats the way of the vet world nowadays and everything we do is a necessary procedure, they don't suggest frivolous procedures. Like any medical provider, its good to go in educated but they do a good job discussing things with me and making sure I'm on board before proceeding. read more

Be very careful here. They are wonderful when they are taking your money, but if you need them when your animal is in crisis, you will be left all alone. Saturday afternoon, they're closing at 3pm and absolutely refuse to see my dog. She's in crisis, has digested poison - time was very short. Of course, since they're closing early - there are no appointments. I guess everyone leaving early was more important than my dog. Really sad, the receptionist was dismissive, rude and said some really terrible things. I've paid their completely inflated prices for years in hope of creating a relationship that I can trust for my dog. Didn't matter. Didn't matter how long I've used them, how many pets they've treated throughout the years, how I've referred and been a loyal enthusiast of their practice. None. Start a relationship somewhere else. Your pet's health should be a partnership between you and your vet, you will NOT get this here. They want your money, they do no care about your pet or family. Save yourself some heartbreak and go elsewhere. We've had an awesome experience with Berkeley Pet Hospital. read more

I'm really happy to find this clinic. We've seen Dr. Reid 3x now and each visit has been great. Dr. Reid is very easy to talk to, she seems more than happy to answer my questions and discuss my dogs care in depth without making me feel rushed. I appreciate that I'm given options and upfront disclosure of cost before proceeding. It's refreshing to have everything explained so thoroughly. The prices are reasonable for the Bay Area. The staff all seem knowledgable, professional, and friendly. Most importantly my dog is very comfortable here, and is happy to walk through the door every time we visit. read more

I was going to stick with Campus Vet for my dog, but after today, I'm in the market for a new vet. My dog has only known this place and Dr. Reid since I got her 13 year ago and this place is the closest to me so it's just too bad. The recent change in ownership and all of my favorite vet techs leaving and especially the front office people has made this place completely different and unsatisfactory. The fees have gone up and with every visit, I feel like I am being told I need to have more testing done on my dog. It's getting expensive. No longer do they give you options of what is critical to do or what can wait. The main person who answers phones and deals with clients just called me this morning with an answer from the dr. Hannahbess that i had yesterday afternoon. She asked for "Karen". My name starts with a K but is no where near "Karen". So i said, no, thinking she dialed the wrong pet owner. Then she says my dogs name and so I responded. I mean, I knew she was calling from the vet because of caller id so I knew that the call was about my dog. The girl told me the doctor said I could wait until I returned from my trip to get the ultrasound done. Ultrasound?! I thought my dog needed an urinalysis! Wth?! Do not rely on older reviews!! This is NOT the same place it was 3 months ago!!! read more

Dr. Reid, Dr. Yen, and the amazing vet-techs are all so great. I have a somewhat "problematic" dog that just loves to bark and bark and bark whenever she gets near the clinic. Her behavior is to the point that I often dread having to take her to the vet. Nonetheless, Dr. Reid and the vet-techs are extremely compassionate and understanding about my situation. I've never had a problem getting an appointment and they've even accommodated me during emergency situations before (like when my dog had a horrible allergic reaction to a wasp-sting). I've seen some reviews that Dr. Yen is cold and I would like to add my 2 cents to that. I'd say he's definitely "down to business" with humans, but I've always found him to be extremely loving with my cat, and he always indulges me and all my questions. And it's not like he's a Scrooge -- the man smiles and laughs like the rest of us. But, he is clear about trying to help your pet and I appreciate that about him. Even though I've relocated outside the Berkeley area, I still take my pets there and will continue doing so. PS. Does anyone else think Dr. Reid looks just like Ellen? Haha. read more

UPDATE: I'm still upset at how I was treated on my previous visit (see below) but today made up for that, but only because Dr. Reid saw my cat and discovered the problem while not overcharging me. I guess it's who you talk to and who you see that makes the difference. I think we'll only use Dr. Reid in the future. I called today to have a microchip put in my cat and was told by the receptionist that I would need to pay $60 for that and then also pay a separate checkup fee since my cat has not been in for 8 months! read more

This is my neighborhood vet. Everyone here is soooooo nice to my dog when I bring her in. We've seen both Dr. Reid and Dr. Yen and I think they're both very good vets. Dr. Reid is really good with people but Dr. Yen is perfectly fine, too. Some vet offices will try to push you into doing the most aggressive, expensive treatment right away. What I usually prefer is to start with the simple treatment and see if that works before getting into multiple blood tests, X-rays or surgery. In my experience Campus Vet is fine with this approach. read more

Everyone at this office is so kind and patient. We started taking out ca here in February after some recommendations and they were wonderful! We had a quick emergency that required us to return mid Covid and their protocols to protect their staff and us were great. Even in the middle of a pandemic, they're kind, patient and very efficient. Highly recommend Hannahbess and everyone there! read more

I can't say enough good things about Campus Veterinary Clinic. Over my 17 years as a cat "mom" I've been to a lot of vets, and I will always be thankful for the day I found this clinic! My beloved cat was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease four years ago. For four years both Dr. Yen and Dr. Reid tag-team cared for my cat and me, giving my cat her regular check-ups and blood tests and handling my concerns with patience, kindness, gentleness, and honesty. Neither of them ever talked down to me or appeared to mind my endless questions in the least, and both of them were always gentle and loving with my cat. I trusted them both and have always felt that my cat and I were in good hands. Over the years the techs there have all gotten to know me and my cat and they greeted us both by name when we'd come in for check ups. When the full staff really showed their true colors, though, was in my cat's final week of life. When she had to stay overnight at the emergency after-hours clinic (PETS), the vet there communicated with Dr. Reid so that my cat's transfer from their facility to hospitalization at Campus Veterinary Clinic would be smooth and stress-free for both of us. Dr. Reid not only took the time to study my cat's treatment plan while she'd been at the other clinic, she even checked in with me regularly, calling me after-hours to give me updates. Even with their expert treatment, my cat refused to eat for days on end and it came time to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go. Both Dr. Reid and Dr. Yen were wonderful to me as I made the decision, as were the techs (one of the techs even cried). Dr. Yen came to my house to put her to sleep. During the procedure he let her lie on the rug in the sun, just where she most liked to be. She didn't show the slightest sign of fear or pain, because he was so unbelievably gentle and kind to both of us. He even offered me a hug after my cat was gone. The entire staff of Campus Veterinary Clinic helped make my cat's last four years, and especially her final days and hours, comfortable, dignified, calm, and gentle. I wish I could give them a 10-star rating. Choose this clinic and you will never regret it. read more

I brought my rabbit in about 9 months ago to have a bump checked on his leg. The vet (Asian guy) didn't evoke a caring personality, and quickly wham, bam, thank you, ma'am flipped my rabbit on his back while he whimpered, tossed and turned, and I watched in horror. If you don't see, or know how to manage rabbits in a nice way, you should state you don't want to see rabbits. Long-story-short, the vet told me there was nothing he could do, and he didn't know what it was. ............."???" Thanks for at least trying (being sarcastic). Luckily I found a legit rabbit doc in Hayward (Chabot Vet, Dr. Harvey), who demonstrated fantastic, caring, knowledge of rabbits and how to handle them, especially in front of their owner/parent/best friend (me). read more

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by Campus Vet! I LOVE them! I run a small German Shepherd Rescue (and a large Meetup group of more than 140 GShep owners!) called The OGSG and have been to Campus twice now - I found the front desk staff to be courteous, polite, genuinely friendly (often a busy hospital atmosphere generates curt employees, but that is NOT the case at Campus Vet!), and knowledgeable. The vet techs are wonderful - they too are warm, kind, knowledgeable and friendly. They take time to listen, ask the right questions, and clearly love animals. I have only visited with Dr. Reid, and after a number of lackluster experiences elsewhere, I was thrilled with her! She was excellent, gentle, had fabulous bedside manner, was warm and engaging and I am confident my critters were in caring and skilled hands. I will absolutely be using Campus Veterinary as my go-to clinic for my own dogs, as well as our rescued dogs (and even cats). I love that Campus is also part of the SNYP program, to me that shows this hospital actually cares about animals and the community they are part of. Really, I haven't a single negative thing to say about them! Wonderful wonderful place!! Thank you, Campus Vet! read more

I'm glad this is the vet office that's closet to my place. My dog's been here a number of times ( I visited most recently a few weeks ago), for routine check-ups and one very minor surgery. The staff is extremely friendly. My boxer is an extremely chill dude, but for whatever reason he turns into a Gremlin once he's in the exam room. The staff didn't bat an eye, and after a couple bad visits graciously recommended doggie Zanax. I'd definitely recommend Campus Veterinary to dog owners in the area. read more

Hey there! I woke up on a random Saturday morning and was surprised to see my dog had a swollen, crusty gross eye. I immediately proceeded to freak out and email my cousin who's a Vet because once when my dog was experiencing eye irritation I was a little too relaxed about it - and it turned out she had a seed caught in her eye! It must have been incredibly painful and I feel awful about it to this day. Luckily they were able to get the seed out without surgery - but word to the wise, this can occur easily - especially when you drive with your dogs window open and the force of the wind pushes stuff into their eyes. Needless to say my cousin was too busy to respond right then and I started scouring Yelp for local Vet's. I had seen Campus on our jogs but the reviews of Dr.Yen were off putting to say the least. Convenience and an opening right away won out but I got nervous when she told me our appointment was with Dr. Yen. Concern for my puppy won out and in we went. Can I just say I found the man delightful? Maybe my bar is low but he looked me in the eye, shook my hand and more importantly - paid close attention to my dog. When he suggested a couple additional tests beyond the conjunctivitis eye drops, I stood my ground and asked if we could try the medication first and if the infection didn't abate, return for more tests - my budget could not take a $300 to $400 bill right then. He was fine with that and of course it cleared up right away. He continued to chat me up in a friendly manner, the staff were friendly and responsive, I have no complaints! Fear not, I got out of there paying $89 bucks with a much happier dog. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Campus Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Reid and everyone else that works there are awesome. They took fantastic care of our kitty Liono for the nine years we have lived in the area. I always felt like they really cared about his well being and gave him the best care possible. Veterinary care is more than just a job for everyone who works there. You can see that what they do is truly a passion. They cared about my kitty's and my family's well being and their kindness did not go unnoticed. And maybe even more importantly, they are very good at what they do. Their methods and medical care for my kitty were always spot on. A very close friend that lives out of state is a veterinarian and the medical care recommended by Campus Veterinary Clinic always matched her opinions. Their passion and expertise are incredible. And their help and compassion during hard times was thoughtful and truly appreciated. I would highly recommend Campus Veterinary Clinic to any pet owners in the area. read more

I'm a long time pet owner and brought both my dog and cat to see Dr. Yen for annual shots. Everyone there was very patient and knowledgeable. Its difficult sometimes to get all your questions answered, sign papers, and hold your squirmy nervous animals at the same time but I didn't feel rushed or uncomfortable. Dr. Yen made sure to spend plenty of time with both our pets. I was also impressed that Dr. Yen still stays up to date on current medicine and journal publications. Prices seem pretty comparable to other small animal hospitals and their hours are super convenient! Overall very happy. read more

I live within a few blocks of here, so it was a no-brainer to try this vet first when we adopted our puppy right after moving to Berkeley. Our pup has had a urinary tract infection for as long as we've had her (going on 7 months), but we have had great care every time we've been in. It was unclear at first if the infection was just because she was little or a larger problem. When it became clear this was a more severe problem, we were referred to Pets Referral Center (on University) where we've also had good experiences. The staff here all know our dog and love her dearly. Niobe (our dog) loves coming here and is excited whenever we're heading in--even though most of the time she gets poked and prodded in ways that would make me not want to come back! We've seen both Dr. Reid and Dr. Yen--they're both really nice and help clarify things when they make a diagnosis. I would recommend this vet to any friends looking for a vet in the area. ** We've been going here for over a year now and the staff couldn't be nicer! Still all positive experiences and when we've had to come back because of Niobe's urinary issues they have been nice and comped an appointment or meds on occasion. Definitely feel happy going here and Niobe still loves it! read more

I think it's a little pricey, but I don't really shop around different vet clinics, so I don't have much to compare with. I really like Dr. Reid, who is wonderful with my chubby cat, laughs at my scaredy cat, and is altogether pleasant and friendly, plus helpful and knowledgeable. I can't really comment much on Dr. Yen, except that he called my cat morbidly obese (which I'll admit was probably true at the time because she is obsessed with food) and according to lil bro, on the little report sheet, checked 'a little overweight' on my other cat because "he's at the ideal weight, but we don't want him to gain anymore!" I don't know. I'm guessing he's competent and knowledgeable, but I don't think he's all that personable. I've only had one experience with him because when I schedule appointments for my cats, I always ask for Dr. Reid. P.S. My chubby cat, who eats anything and everything, refused their low-fat, diet cat treat. This is significant because my cat has no standards when it comes to food. :P read more

I had such a great experience at Campus Veterinary Clinic. I am a new customer and called to see if they could see my sick dog today. Within an hour we saw Dr. Yen. The staff and techs were extremely friendly and welcoming. My dog is usually agitated at the vet and she was totally calm and comfortable. My visit today makes me realize what bad service I was getting at my old vet. read more

Was most pleasantly surprised to find a vet service that focuses on the wellness of the pet and NOT at extracting every red cent from said pet's anxious human. Dr Lee listened to what I had to say in response to his questions and discussed a few alternative approaches and then suggested the most conservative course of action which meant NOT doing lots of tests first. His approach meant buying an oral Rx that I could administer myself and changing Ginger's food to anti-allergenic formula. Worked almost immediately and the cat has stayed healthy ever since. Something else I found remarkable- most vets tout teeth cleaning for big $$$; Dr. Lee actually showed my the HUGE calcifications on Ginger's back teeth and then just popped off those crusty things onto the table! He didn't bring it up again but BOY he proved his point! I am relieved to have a found a vet I feel I can trust. read more

Very happy with the care our dog receives here. Staff is very friendly and caring. Emailed the clinic last night because our dog acquired an eye infection and we wanted him seen first thing this morning. Received a call at 730 am today to schedule an appointment for an hour later with Dr. Yen. He was great and shows he really cares about animals. Clinic is not fancy or anything but the service and attention is top notch. read more

The clinic is smaller than some, but the staff and facilities are excellent. It has been wonderful working with Dr. Reid when our cat had a health emergency and he had to stay overnight at their facilities. They are really great about keeping you informed of your animal's progress and trying to provide more affordable options when available. They also worked well with relaying information back and forth with the emergency pet hospital nearby too. At one point, Campus Vet did prescribe Chinese herbs for my cat as a more natural alternative for soothing irritated skin. The herbs really worked and my cat was able to eat them in his food with no issues(which is rare for him). It's also comforting to have more natural alternatives available for your pet with vets that are open to it and offer it, yet still have drug options available too if needed. read more

Pets have been a big part of my life; dogs, rabbits, hermit crabs, goldfish, and cats. Oreo is my current companion, a great tuxedo male cat whom I adopted with his buddy Ugh (Ugly) some 12 years ago from my friend Kay when she moved to Europe. I lost Ugh last summer; and currently Oreo is having health issues. Both cats have gone to several pet care clinics and vets over the past few years as they've had issues come up; and despite trying to do the right thing, and taking them to professional health care clinics, I just have not felt like my cats got the proper attention or diagnosis needed. Dr. Reid and the people at Campus Veterinary have been outstanding. For once I feel like people are listening to me when I explain symptoms and concerns rather than just going thru the motions. While Oreo has a tumor, and we wait for the biopsy results; I at least have the peace of mind knowing that there are professional, skilled, humane people at our side to help us thru it. I honestly have that feeling that they care about the animals and that's a comfort that doesn't have a price for me. For anyone in the East Bay or Berkeley, my vote for best pet care are these people. Thank you Dr. Reid and everyone in all you are doing for Oreo and for me too. I wish I could find a human doctor as wonderful as them. read more

I wish I had looked at the other 'one-star' reviews before choosing this clinic. I've been taking my dog here for the past few years with mixed feelings. Vets seem competent and pleasant enough (luckily I never got Dr. Yen) but the other issues of gouging and rude staff are real. Finally this time was enough to say bye bye. My last visit I was pressured into an 'optional' immunization. Something (couldn't even tell you the name) that I felt wasn't a risk for my dog - being mostly indoors, or at the beach in Albany; not in puddles with possum urine in Berkeley. But they were insistent (read shaming) that I was putting other dogs in danger by not getting this shot. When I asked how much it costs Dr. Parsley said $25 - plain and simple. I figured for that I would oblige. Next, the injection was jammed into my dog who let out a blood curdling yelp while I was chastised by the tech for trying to comfort him. After paying the bill I was told I needed to make another appointment to bring my dog back the next week. Why? Oh the booster 'follow up shot' - one that was never mentioned. On the return visit the first thing the front desk person wanted was my credit card to charge $25. When I told her I had already paid it, she insisted that I hadn't. It turns out I had paid the $25 but now they were going to charge me $25 more for the 'second shot.' When I told her I was quoted $25 total and no mention of two shots she insisted that would have never happened and that I was wrong and that they make it a standard procedure to bring up the bill on a computer screen in the exam room. I realize now why they do that - to cover themselves (I'm sure I wasn't the first to have been told one thing while extra cost were slipped in). I asked to talk to the vet, who I hoped would have recalled the conversation (I could have prompted her on practically every word, having remembered it that clearly) but she wasn't there. I know it seems like a petty amt and it is. It's just sad that the front desk person (and other vet) couldn't even fathom the idea that I could have been given inaccurate information and instead treated me like a liar -- trying get out of paying $25?! The whole thing was so insulting. When I suggested that they do the right thing and not charge the additional amount given the miscommunication they basically said forget it, hollered back to get my dog from the exam room - sans injection and that was it. I really don't know who's in charge there but I do hope they read ALL their reviews and care enough to invest in customer service training and/or let go of staff that are bringing this place down. read more

We were nervous about taking our dog to the vet here in Berkeley after a bad experience in San Diego. After a trip to PETS, we decided to take little Guenty to Campus Vet for a liver test and he saw Dr. Reid. By the time we picked him up, the staff had removed his muzzle and he was actually wagging his tail when he saw us. While that's normal behavior at home, little G HATES the vet and has never been so good with any other office and staff. They really made every effort to make him feel at home, and we felt that he was safe with them. The icing on the cake: Dr. Reid called us with the lab results and instead of suggesting a really expensive surgery like the vet in San Diego, offered an herbal alternative! Yay Campus Vets! The gist: Campus Vets is reliable and affordable, and the entire staff so far has been amazing. read more

Updating my review after going to Campus for more than 8 years. Dr. Reid is amazing. She always had a soft spot for our English Mastiff Delilah, and always treated her so well and took nothing but the best care of her. We have recently moved out of the area, and will truly miss being able to go here for Delilah's annual checkups (luckily, an overall healthy almost 10 year-old doggo). I HIGHLY recommend going to Campus Vet with your animals to receive the best care they deserve and will get. read more

I had to take my 6yr old female cat in yesterday because there was something going on in her mouth.. she was excessively drooling. Anyway, I was able to call and get an appt right away with one of the owners, Dr. Simon Yen. Due to an unrelated traumatizing vet experience with my partner's cat and a different vet last year, I was feeling nervous and cautious about having to bring my little in. You know it can be like finding a needle in a haystack to find a good doc/vet, so I was hoping that the positive accolades that Campus Vet has gotten, would trickle into my experience. I walked in and the office was comfortable and not sterile/cold feeling and the front desk techs were really nice and personable from the moment I walked in. The sign in process was easy and fast, and they provide coffee (thank you btw, i needed that at 9am) for you to vice-out on. I am terrible with names, but the female tech who helped me, again was really nice and brought us to our room. her bedside manner was much appreciated, and her patience seemed to ease my beast's anxieties about the experience a little. She weighed my girl, then went to get the doc. Dr. Yen came in about 2 minutes later. I like that they honor their appt times. He walked in, cool, calm, collected, kind, quiet... he pet GB gently for a minute then slowly opened her mouth to see what was going on inside. It was like watching the Dr. Yen treat in Tai Chi or something... it was all very fluid, confident and peaceful. They took her temp, which shocked the hell out of me, because she didn't make a sound, didn't squirm, didn't give any indication of being uncomfortable. Then he told me what he thought is going on with her, gave me an option to test for a certain virus, but didn't press, which, again, I appreciated. So often these places will push all sorts of unnecessary tests just to come to the conclusion that they have no idea what's going on, and that they need to do more tests. Dr. Yen is not like that. The exam fee was affordable (60$) and I chose to go with the lab, just to rule out whether she has that virus or not. The check out process was clear, appropriately priced, and I left feeling like I actually did a good thing for my little by bringing her in to Campus Vet. I felt like they genuinely care about their client's animals, and definitely didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of. It was a calm experience for GB, which above everything else, I am most grateful for. She can be a curmudgeon sometimes, so it was nice to bring her home not all PTSD'd out. :0) Big thanks to Dr. Yen and all the staff that was there yesterday. :0) read more

First off, the staff are super friendly! I came in with my little pomeranian @ 7:40am on a saturday... I was greeted and my little pom got attention right away. My little pom is a bit shy when meeting new faces but the nurse took her time and was patient in trying to calm him. Dr. Reid was my vet that morning. She's super friendly and helpful. My poor little pom was nervous sitting on the metal table but somehow the doctor got my pomeranian to sit still and he was quiet. He didn't figit much when she was examining him. She was really gentle with him. She explained to me what the problem with him was... collapsed trachea (common is small breed dogs), they took some xrays and she explained to me the situation and possible solutions. I was happy that my dog didn't need an operation. I didn't mind the bill, after all, my dog is my little baby. Definately recommended compare to other vets in the area! read more

Let me just say, I have very high standards when it comes to a vet or health provider for animals. I think you need to be not only a great vet, but be able to work with the human patients as well and be kind/patient when they don't understand. Dr. Parsley is everything I could want. She is kind and sweet to my dog, Conway, but also commands the attention of the human patients and explains the medical terms to me. We have seen her now 3 times and every time I leave there feeling very confident that my dog will be ok and that I was charged a fair price for the services rendered. I really trust Dr. Parsley and her team. They performed Conway's dental procedure (which I was a nervous wreck for) and my boy is completely healed and looking great. I can not speak highly enough of the team at Campus Vet. read more

The staff here is amazing. Doctor Reid has been my favorite veterinarian we've ever had...and there have been many in the 8+ years I've had my pup. My lab has really difficult skin issues and she (along with the other awesome staff) had worked with my closely to figure it out. I recommend this place wholeheartedly! read more

We have two cats and one dog. They are all treated at Campus Veterinary for the last 5 years. I do not have enough words to say how much I appreciate this place, starting from the receptionists to the technicians and the veterinarians. They really care about my pets, and we always get the best professional care. To add to this, one of my cats, NishNoosh, is infamously not nice to the stuff (he is very nice to other people...). Having saying that, he always get the best treatment. All in all, I highly recommend Campus Veterinary! read more

Took my cat Lucy in this morning because she has been sick/acting weird. Overall, it was a good visit. The doctors were nice and seemed to care about her. The office is pretty small and so is the waiting room, but I was the only one there (8:20am) so it was fine. She got some vaccines, some ear infection medicine and some meds for her stomach. It was pretty expensive, but I was expecting it. read more
