This is a nice little stop on the way out of town every time I need coffee and I don't wanna drive back to downtown. It's on the outskirts of Flagstaff heading back towards Phoenix, and offers a variety of food and drink options. Both of the times that I visited during my trip to Flagstaff recently, all I got was a cappuccino to go.Service was OK as well as a drink, but the space is always great to hang out in as it offers Wi-Fi, plenty of charging, specific spaces, and lots of room.

This past summer my husband and I have had four brunches at Campus Coffee Bean, even though we are staying on the other side of town. The food, coffee, ambiance and service are great so we keep coming back. This time my husband had the breakfast special: scrambled eggs and cheese on a croissant, and house coffee. I had the Flagstaff omelette with toast and potatoes, and a latte. The restaurant cooks their eggs from scratch rather than microwaving egg patties like so many other coffee shops. Other times we have had their gyro meat, their hummus, other egg dishes. All our meals and coffee have been very good. They have an extensive tea collection. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall with decent parking. The restaurant is across University St. from Target.

Solid selection and very quick. Selections of treats as well as a deli and breakfast!

I've been coming here since college back when it was just a coffee shop. Naturally I came here because it was the closest coffee shop from campus. I've watched it grow over the years and still enjoy it. They make a pretty good made to order hot breakfast, locally made bagels/pastries (some being Sam's Club) and have an array of different mocha flavors. Nice place to sit and visit with friends.

Interior is pleasantly decorated and well maintained.

This place is fantastic! I was looking around for some good places for coffee (rather than those campus Starbucks) and I am thoroughly impressed. This is a lovely small business, and while it isn't perfect, it is one of those gems which are always nice to have in any town. The coffee on tap is fruity and bright, with a slight tartness similar to a currant or a blackberry. The wait was minimal and the coffee was extremely inexpensive given the quality; just $3 for a 20oz! The employees seemed eager and passionate. It was overall a very homey environment. If you have a moment, please come by--I do not think you will regret it.

I've eaten here countless times and I'm never disappointed. They serve breakfast and lunch and have a variety of dishes, including vegetarian options. Their waffles are incredible as are their burritos, skillets, tostadas, and gorditas. Breakfast always comes with a side of whole beans (flavored with ham hock) which are super fresh. I can truly say there's nothing bad on this menu! The staff is always super welcoming and friendly and the ambiance is refreshing. It's a smaller space and it does get pretty busy, so be aware of that. The best part is that the cafe is family owned, with roots in Playa del Carmen, MX. I HIGHLY recommend Madrez if you're looking for a delicious and authentic Mexican brunch spot. Support local!

My partner and I ordered a chorizo burrito, a skillet poblano, and a plain waffle. While everything was just okay, it honestly felt like something we could have made better at home. I especially wouldn't recommend the waffles -- they were very airy, almost like toast, and at $14 they just didn't feel worth it. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but it's not somewhere I'd return to.

Front of house was warm, attentive, and completely on it, the kind of hospitality that sets the tone right away. Food came out quickly without feeling rushed, and every plate delivered exactly what I was hoping for. The steak was cooked perfectly (chef's kiss), and the chimichurri had that bright balance. The prosciutto in the Savory Croissant Waffle was a star. Also, shoutout to a place that can genuinely do both coffee and food well. That's rarer than it should be. I'd happily come back just to sit with a latte and a chocolate croissant. Elite-worthy stop, no question.

We opted for a hot vanilla oatmilk latte and a Matcha Americano. We got both of these to go. The vanilla latte didn't have any sweetener or vanilla in it. I'm not sure if they maybe put a little bit but nothing really pulled through. The coffee itself was extremely strong, which is not a bad thing considering we were on our truck back home so it's a good thing to stay awake. The ceremonial Matcha was very light in the Americano. I'm not sure what their measurement is, but it could have used another half a teaspoon, at least. The patio is dog friendly and there was a pup out there already at 8:30 AM on a Saturday. Inside, they have beautiful hanging plants and ample room if you're coming here to study or to catch up with some friends.

We had a standard queen room both times and it's spacious, bathroom has two sinks one in and one out so yconvenient for two people sharing. The pool is a roundish shape but large enough to swim some laps when there aren't a lot of children there. There are four 2 level inter connected buildings and #4 being the furthest away from the lobby - you can park your car (parking is free) close to any building but it's a bit of a walk on foot. Location is a bit out of town not walking distance to downtown Flagstaff. Rating it a 3 star due to service. On a day when they don't seem to be full they still wouldn't accommodate a late check out by just an hour (at noon instead of 11 am) which I didn't think would have made any difference to them but would have made a huge one for us. Then there is the breakfast. Nice dining room and all, but service was slow and the food came lukewarm, this at a time when it was early and hardly anyone in the dining room. And in addition to that, I had tea and it came in a tea pot with one weak tea bag, and as I like my tea strong I asked for another tea bag in the same pot and was told I'd be charged a second pot of tea ($5). This kind of stinginess just doesn't befit the seeming stature of such a hotel. And finally, the teacup they gave me had a long crack in it - I discovered it when i saw the saucer filing up with tea and didn't think I spilled any in it. The crack was old and stained, not a new one, so it was shocking that no staff had noticed it for this long and cared enough to not continue using it. Let's just say I'd never encountered broken cups like this in lesser priced motels. For this trip to Flagstaff I also had a two-night stay in another hotel downtown and other than the swimming pool, it was much better value and more comfortable with more helpful staff - and no broken tea cups!

The staff here are very friendly. It's very colorful inside with Mexican art. Paintings line the walls by local artists and yes they are for sale! Everything on the menu looked delicious! I wanted to try everything! They're known for their chilaquiles. They have a motto: This is the place that chilaquiles was built. But I went against my better judgement and ordered Jerry el Mujeriego (enchilada filled with pork green chile, cheese, sour cream, cilantro, and topped with two over medium eggs. They're served with rice, beans, potatoes, and tortilla). My wife ordered Juevos Benedictos, eggs Benedict. When they brought our plates out, I couldn't believe how much food they gave us. The plates were full to the edges. Of course it came down to the flavors. My plate was just IOK. I was really expecting flavors that would pop, something that would stand out Mexican! Everything was kind of bland. I hate to say it, but it was as if they were catering to non Mexicans. I'm not Mexican, but I'm in a Mexican restaurant and I want bold Mexican flavors. Granted, they give you a lot of food. Maybe that's more important to some people. Now I wish I ordered their chilaquiles! My wife's Benedict was delicious however! The eggs were perfectly cooked and her dish was seasoned and had flavor. So our visit wasn't a total miss. I'm torn on how to rate them. A 3 or 4? I wish there were half ratings then I'd rate them a solid 3.5! I'll round it up!

There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor area is especially impressive. They have what looked like a private dining space inside a barn-style shed, several gas fire pits, and even a slightly elevated platform that looked perfect for live music. Ordering is simple -- you place both food and drink orders at the counter, then they bring everything out to your table. Even though the place was busy, the food came out fast and piping hot. The food itself was outstanding. I ordered the chicken and biscuits and my wife got the chilaquiles. Both portions were huge. The chicken and biscuits were exactly what I was hoping for: smothered in rich country gravy with a perfectly fried flattened chicken breast that was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The buttermilk biscuit was golden, flaky, buttery, and had the perfect balance of soft interior and crisp edges. I honestly got full halfway through my plate and never even got a chance to try the wife's chilaquiles. The drip coffee was excellent too -- simple, hot, and exactly what good breakfast coffee should be. There's street parking along with a small parking lot across the street. Easily one of the best breakfast spots we've been to.

We had placed our orders inside and were sent away with a number on a stand for our table. The gal that waited on us was very patient and uber-friendly taking our orders - luckily there was no one behind us and she took the time to answer all of our questions. I feel like we'd only been seated just a hot second when the food arrived! Fabulous service - quick and friendly and always with a smile. Hubby and I each got a cup of fresh brewed coffee that did not disappoint! Not too weak, not too strong... brewed to perfection! My husband ordered the chicken and biscuit and I the chilaquiles Christmas style. Lord have mercy both of these dishes were the bomb! Not only plenty of food but super tasty - I had my chilaquiles with scrambled eggs and they also came with about 1/2 a freshly sliced avocado. Nice, tangy flavor and sprinkled with just the right amount of cotija cheese! Shared with the table and still had leftovers (and I'm not mad about it). Husband's dish was perfection - the perfect biscuit combo - fluffy, chewy and crunchy in all the right places, and the gravy not overly seasoned or salty. Chicken was a breaded/fried (possibly baked) and cooked/seasoned just right. Inner meat was tender and moist and outside of course was crunchy - batter was well seasoned and breast didn't seem greasy at all. I worked in a mom-and-pop coffee shop decades ago - everything was homemade and fresh and the coffee 2 die 4. This establishment brought me back to those times in regard to coffee/food quality and hospitality! Will 100p be returning when next we're in town!
