I wish I could give negative stars. We purchased a rig in Oct of last year and have had nothing but problems. The first week we had it the heater failed and we live in the rig full time so this was very bad during the winter. We were told this was a known issue and the part was on backorder and there was no ETA. So though it was under warranty we purchased the part on our own and installed in. Then we had a water leak. We took the rig in and had to stay in a hotel for 9 days while the "fixed" the leak. We we got it back they had not fixed anything. We live 1.5 hours from the nearest service center and we had damaged blinds that had to be replaced via warranty. We have had multiple other issues and I will NEVER purchase from Camping World again. For RV service Camping World sets a new record low for the entire planet. I wish YELP would start a zero star rating! Took coach for quick differential seal replacement. In short........ First fix quickly failed after being waiting there for 4 days. Second trip to fix the fix lasted another 4 days in an unfriendly and hostile environment. UPDATE: my husband and I have had one issue after the next with our RV, including our microwave (no longer works), power converter (had to replace it), and now the refrigerator (went out). I am very disappointed in Camping World and do not feel that our RV was properly serviced. NEVER AGAIN. I will start this review by saying that our sales representative (Allie and Sarge) were fabulous. I would give them five stars. I am giving Camping World a one star as a whole though because they did not do what they said they were going to do. Integrity is everything, and upper management has none. They knew on a Monday that we would be picking up the unit on Friday, yet when we showed up to pick it up, the unit had not been detailed and all the things that were discussed as outstanding items during our walk through were not addressed. In addition, my husband sat there all day waiting for the service team to figure out how to put together the ranch hand assist. I have never met a group of more incompetent people. Avoid this facility unless you want to experience the worst customer service you have EVER experienced. My RV has been in for repair for 8 Months, and it is still in there. They have gone thru 3 service manager's, no one will answer phone calls, emails or voice mails. I even contacted their headquarters, who has a slogan "If you are not happy, We are not happy" I contacted them and told them I was not happy and I received no help from them at all. Doesn't honor prices unless you belong to the good sam club. Visited store while in Katy, tx. Upon departure of store, clearance section caught eye, picked up a couple of item. When went to pay would not give clearance price unless we belonged to the Good Sam Club. Cashier called manager and he even stated prices were for GSC members. No where did it state clearance prices for GSC members, signage read price as marked, NOT clearance price for GSC members only, regular customers pay full price. Even had manager come up to cashier and repeat to make sure we were on the same page by showing signs and manager still said clearance price for GSC members, we would basically pay regular price. Totally unacceptable on pricing and we just left, false price advertisement. read more

This is the most unprofessional place I have ever worked with!!! Not only have I had to work with 3 different people now, it has literally been almost a full month with no answers and we keep getting ignored and the go around. The first rep said we were approved, congratulated us and said they would have the paper work to us shortly. That was back in June. The second rep said we were denied and then continued to ignore us. Next our third rep said we were approved, need some extra paperwork. Sent out the extra paper work and here we are 2 weeks later still waiting on answers. The worst part is that we just found out that our rep decided to go on vacation until next week and didn't even bother to tell us. Who is working on my case then. I am supposed to fly out soon and cannot do soon without confirmation on everything. This is completely ridiculous on how long we have been messed around with and how many people we have gone through. You have taken a month away from us, ran my credit 4 times now, (all hard inquiries), and still have not given us any answers. My camper lost a wheel bearing 1 mile up the road from Camping World. Went in for help. 8 employees gathered around the Donut box & not a single one even addressed me. My husband and I are shopping for our first travel trailer and loved this location. We told the salesman we were just looking but felt very comfortable with James. On our second visit we found out that James was no longer with the company, made a bad decision and put down $500 on a motor coach. At the time we were told that the deposit was fully refundable. We had instant buyer's regret and immediately notified them that we didn't want the coach. They won't give our $500 back and refuse to respond to our calls or texts. Absolutely ridiculous. Makes me wonder if their word isn't any good; how they would be if you had a warranty issue or needed repair services? We are almost two weeks in, and they still refuse to communicate and refuse to return the deposit. The stupid part of the whole thing is we are going to buy a travel trailer, so for $500 they lost our first trailer purchase, they lost our trailer upgrade that we are intending to do in two or three years, they lost our really fancy retirement trailer purchase, they lost our Good Sams membership, they lost us as a Camping World shopper for any and all of the supplies they market in their Camping World store, and they gained a very vocal advocate for NOT giving Camping World your business. We have friends looking for campers too, and I am definitely encouraging all of them not to shop here. I'm currently working with their corporate complaints department and not having much luck there either. Don't shop here. read more

We were more than satisfied with the service we rec'd at Camping World Houston. Bought a brand new Mallard travel trailer at Camping World Las Vegas and we are first time RV'rs. Drove it nonstop to here and come to find out there were multiple issues with it. Made an appointment only days away and they fixed everything in 5 working days. Also diagnosed problems with our rearview trailer camera and got that going as well. All in-warranty N/C. Mandy and Jennifer in service, I cannot recall having been so well taken care of. read more

This is the absolute worse place for service. Our sales guy was great, but the second after we drove away with it, it has been nothing but a NIGHTMARE! The most rude people in service. Never know we have an appointment, so don't even bother with making an appointment at all. The cabinet facing and heating element did not work when we bought it and it took them over two months to just get the parts in. They also told me they don't know when parts arrive and I need to just keep calling to see if they are in? Once those finally came in, I made an appointment and once again, they had no idea of my appointment. When I picked it up, they only installed the cabinet facing and said they ordered the wrong parts for the heating element. So it did not even get fixed. On top of that, they left a big box, trash, and screws everywhere. They also broke the facing on the outside and stripped all fours screws so they just put two new screws in the middle. The entire vent facing is bent and a giant gap. There were electrical wire pieces all over as well as fuses missing and all in the wrong place in the fuse box. When I dropped it off it was mopped out and very clean, when I picked it up it was in worse condition, broken, and filthy. Absolutely no respect for our camper. Then it gets even worse, if you can believe that. We have a gas leak and our stove does not work. Talked with Tracey after we picked it up and realized the trash and the leak on Saturday. Unfortunately it was 4pm and she left at 5pm and was not in on Sunday. She said to call back Monday to let her know when we wanted to bring it back because we leave this Thursday for Destin, so we need the leak, if nothing else, fixed before then. Called Monday (twice) and Tuesday to tell her I was on the way and needed to talk with her when I got there. I was unsuccessful on getting ahold of her. I had high hopes that she was going to help us and figure out the issues. I think after I called about the trash and the leak she wanted nothing to do with us and just avoided us. Fast forward to today, Tuesday. I had an appointment at 11 that I had gotten ahold of service Monday evening to make. When I arrive I already knew it was going to be a joke, that my appointment was not in, didn't know who we were, etc, the normal. I walked in, told Mandy (lady in service) that we had an appointment, she couldn't find it, and asked my name, I told her, and she got her paper and started writing notes. She asked me if it was for the leak, I said yes but there are multiple other issues and I would like to speak with Tracey about them. She asked me what the other issues were and I told her. I then told her that they never know we have an appointment or who we are as well. And she looks and me and goes "Natalie", and I laugh and say, "My name is Heather, not Natalie, but it's okay". I wasn't sure if this was a joke, or if she was serious at that point. I thought for sure it was a joke, there is no way she could have been serious. Mandy, just got up, pissed, and walked over to Jennifer and was complaining about me very frustrated, came back to her desk, ignored me, and picked up her phone to assist someone else. I was shocked at the level of customer service I was receiving at this point, especially after you know I'm an unhappy customer. I couldn't believe Mandy treated me in such a way. So Jennifer comes out and I show her what is wrong, we go back in and I'm sitting in the waiting area and Mandy comes by to ask me for keys, but I had just handed them to Jennifer and she looks at me and almost knew I was sitting here writing this, and goes "I'm sorry". It seemed like it took everything in her to apologize for her actions. This is a dog and pony show over here y'all, with no respect for your time or possessions. Save yourself the trouble from the get go and go somewhere else. Through all the other issues, we stayed positive and very nice to them this entire time. My wife and I bought our used 28 foot travel trailer from a salesman named Terry. It was our first trailer ever and we trusted his word. We left for a final life journey and encountered SO MANY ISSUES!! Turns out when we went back with issues, Terry had already been fired because of his incompetence as quoted to me by Camping World staff. The reason for my return visit was because we found so many issues. Our trailer was leaking everywhere, EVERYWHERE! The carpets were wet, the walls were wet, our clothing and other possessions were destroyed and mold was growing inside. We were also going through tires every few hundred miles and came to find out that we had a bent axle. When I sat in their office to finance the purchase I was literally told that "if you bent axle it would cost me so much money that I was better off having the warranty", so I took the warranty. Well guess what, bent axle was not covered as they said they had no way of knowing how it happened, made it sound like I might've done it. The fact is that after driving only 500 miles and stopping at a service station they mentioned that it looked like our tires were all about to blow and they were correct. Spent $650 on 4 new ones. I figured it wasn't a bad idea to put new tires on it anyways. After replacing all 4 tires AGAIN several hundred miles later, a mechanic mentioned that our axle was bent and had been that way for sometime judging by the wear on the tires. This was our first trip after we bought the trailer! The caulking around the windows and doors was all bad so water came in through every window with any rain. The awning, which was described to us as having only cosmetic damage, ripped in half and collected water between the fabrics the first time we used it. There were so many issues that I can't even begin to put them all here. When we brought the trailer back to Camping World and asked them about all the issues they denied us any coverage. After we insisted they look into the records, Matt pulled the file and realized that we had purchased the trailer the same day it had arrived as a trade-in. Matt also admitted the roof was never checked and apparently and a lot of other stuff was overlooked! At this point, having purchased a $3000 warranty my wife and I were confident that they would cover everything that was wrong especially after admitting that they had done a shoddy job at fixing our trailer up before allowing it to be sold to us by a Camping World employee that "had no business selling trailers" as quoted to us. We were WRONG!! They tried to make us feel like they were doing us a favor by performing work at a discount that should have been done before we ever pulled off their lot immediately after our purchase. I will say a guy named Nick did try to help but was at the mercy of management I suppose. First we stayed in their parking lot for three nights so they could re-caulk the windows. On the third day I finally went in and told them nothing had been done yet. They caulked of the windows that afternoon. Two days later it rained and I had to redo half of the windows by myself as they leaked.We waited almost 3 MONTHS for a single axle and leafspring to be replaced and roof & window caulking to be redone. The reason for the purchase of our trailer was because my 46 year old wife had been fighting stage 4 cancer that had taken a really bad turn for the worse. We were going to travel around and see the Country while she still had time. The terrible salesman, lack of urgency and poor management at Camping World literally took almost three months of our lives adventuring together away from us. I never wanted to complain because I had much bigger things on my plate. Now my wife has passed and I realize how important that time was I know there's no way to get it back. So many of my calls to Camping World went unanswered and management never took responsibility or apologized. I would have to say this is the worst customer service-experience I've ever had in my entire life. The truth is that my wife and I were very easy-going and we understood that some things got missed. We just expected Camping World to do a much better job of making up for their admitted mistakes. Instead it took them months of our precious time and we left Houston still without many wrongs being righted. They charged us about another $1000 to fix their mistakes. 'm a new full time RVer. At least I'm trying to be. I'm 56 yo, handicapped, retired school teacher. My dream has been to retire and travel like this. Here's my quandary. I bought my TT used and left it with Camping World for a month to have it completely checked out so it would be safe for me to travel. I had my truck checked out completely as well. I specifically asked for the tires to be checked because I am handicapped and can't get down to really examine them myself. I was assured that everything was safe to travel and to tow. Within 300 miles of home I had two separate blowouts on my camper and a third tire that had split and would have blown shortly if I hadn't had all the tires changed by the roadside. Camping World in Katy Texas did the Texas State Safety inspection. They said the vehicle was safe. That means good tires. The tires that blew out had exceptionally uneven wear on the inner part of the tread. I pointed this out to the Camping World parts and service manager in Katy, Matt Clark. Initially, he blew me off. When I persisted, he looked at the pictures and then didn't respond until I contacted him again. On 11/8/2018, he was ready to throw money at me to make me go away due to their courtesy inspection. When I pointed out that it had been a state inspection that I had paid for, he decided that they were not going to accept any responsibility. According to Mr. Clark, the axle was bent and that caused the rapid wear of the tires. When I arrived at my destination in early October, I took my travel trailer to the Camping World in Tucson AZ to have several issues fixed, among them the tire issue, and a damaged wall where they had repaired a leak but not made sure to air out the interior. I was told the axle was bent and I had it replaced. I asked Mr. Clark if he was saying the axle was bent after I left CW Katy. He stated that it was bent when I dropped it off in Katy. At no point did he or a member of his service team advise me that I had uneven tire wear or that I had a bent axle. Here's the thing. The BACK axle was bent. The front tires were the ones that blew out. Furthermore, I had all four tires replaced about 350 miles into a 1000 mile trip. The new tires showed no signs of excessive wear over the last 650 miles of my trip. I'm very anxious about driving now. More so, I wonder how many people, campers like me, trust the company with their vehicles and are being put in dangerous situations. Now that I'm getting warranty work done I can't even get an estimate of when it will be finished. Worst camper buying experience!! I DO NOT suggest anyone to go here. We went there December 31st to shop around and look at campers we were interested in. The salesman's name was John. It all went downhill the day we actually went to sign papers. Once the salesman knew it was sold he didn't care to tell us what was going on with it and could care less to talk to us since he knew it was sold. All he cared about was that commission check. We were told everybody that we needed to deal with would be in January 2nd at 8:00 in the morning. Well turns out that no one showed up until 9 so we sat around for over an hour waiting on someone to show up. We thought we were waiting on the finance ladies to come in but we were really waiting on our camper to be fixed, which NO ONE bothered to tell us what was wrong with it or what was being fixed. We wasted 2 whole days at this place when it should've been a few hours. When we went to ask questions no one seemed to know what was going on and couldn't give us straight answers. Buying a camper should be fun and enjoyable and it was neither of those things. We will NOT be back to buy anything!! Their communication is terrible. And p.s. John, here's your 1 star review instead of 5. Maybe you and everyone else should work harder next time and actually tell your customers what is going on with their camper!!! read more

Its a shame when you cannot get anyone to follow through on things they promise. I inquired on line about a new unit they had and submitted the request for a trade in appraisal. After almost a week I called to see the status and I was told I needed to fill out a more detailed form about my trade which I did that same day. I got a call a few days later with a verbal on the trade and the deal and asked that they provide the deal offer in writing so I could review with my wife. I was told I would get it that afternoon which never occurred....emailed the salesmen several time and never heard back. Finally a different salesman called after I complained and he gave me the numbers again verbally which were different than the first salesman. He indicated that he would check on what the correct numbers are and get back to be "shortly" which has now been over 2 days and still nothing. This process has been going on for over 2 weeks and I am no closure to buying a unit. I would not recommend buying anything from them. Between my experience and the other reviews that I read about them ......go somewhere else. read more

For 2 years camping world has had my RV in for repairs, 2 times they have tried to claim that the repairs are "complete". I would go months without any communication and most of the time when I would reach out to receive an update I would be promised a call back for the same day and it would be weeks before I even got an email with no information. The repairs "completed" on my rv are worse than if I had just attempted to repair the damage myself. All of the parts damaged miraculously are no longer available and or no longer made and so I am just supposed to be happy that they applied some putty over the damage to try and mask it. The same problem exists with the linoleum that was stained due to the negligence of the shop, placing a fan in one spot for so long it caused a rust ring to stain the linoleum and since the flooring is no longer made they "cant do anything about it". NEVER buy or use camping world for your RV needs. They will just disappoint you and return your RV back to you in worse shape. read more

This place is the most disorganized rv dealer in the world. We bought a brand new fifth wheel rv in 2021 and Camping World has had it in their shop longer than we have had it!! You cannot get a service specialist to call you back. Ricky Clay the service manager will never call you back. When they repair the trailer it comes back, we take it on a short trip and it has to go back into the shop. The refrigerator came loose from the frame, the slide outs would not go out (we were on the phone with the camping world 800 repair service line for 2 hours to get that fixed just so that we could camp. We take it into the shop and they told us that they cannot get the diagnoses from their own 800 service and that if they don't find anything wrong with the electrical then we will be charged. We get a new service tech Tracie and she is going to call us back Wednesday "For Sure" and she doesn't and I call on Thursday and she is on vacation. We were supposed to pick up the trailer on Friday!! Here we go again. I wouldn't ever buy anything from them again and I do not recommend anyone buy from them. read more

He helped us find both with the specific requirements for our family needs. It is a pleasure to work with individuals who enjoy their profession. The service department both Olga and Betty worked tirelessly to ensure we received all the warranty work free of charge. We found making wait appointments worked best for use and not just dropping the RV off and having it worked on in a cue, as we don't live in Houston. While waiting looking at all the items in the store have helped pass the time. I have yet to see everything. Mike helped us get the essentials required to hookup on our first trip from the store. Sooo disappointed...We bought our travel trailer from Camping World. The service department was horrible, they kept our trailer for 3 months for warranty work and never even fixed anything. This time, we needed help canceling our GAP policy since our loan was paid off. We've been in contact with Dawn Likes for months, she seemed helpful at first, but haven't heard anything since July nor received a refund. I keep trying to email and call...no response. I'm so angry and disappointed. I just wish people would do their jobs or at least act like they care. I will not go near Camping World again and will tell everyone that. Purchased a 2017 Heartland RV fifth wheel in July 2016. There were many problems right away including but not limited to entry door strut bracket falling off (tearing out of door), A/C malfunctioning, fresh water tank leaking, interior trim falling off, battery box cover never secured, bathroom door warped, broken bedroom vent shroud tab, missing silicone in bathroom, kitchen drawer not installed properly/falling out, awning track pulling away from exterior, misaligned shower door, fresh water fill port leaks while filling, and intermittent DVD/TV video signal. The RV was back in for warranty service just 3 weeks after purchase. Olga R., the Service Advisor, did not provide status updates as initially told. Having the Good Sam Elite membership has been a joke as no priority or good experience has come from it at Camping World. After about 5 weeks, I was able to pick up the RV. I wondered what they had really done in this time when I found they used clear silicone, the same as what was used in the bathroom, to "fix" the vent shroud's broken tab instead of replacing the shroud. Additionally, this is supposed to be a "Removable" vent screen as imprinted on the vent itself but they rendered it unremovable. Clear silicone was also used to "seal" gaps on the exterior corner trim where the factory applied sealant was already cracking. The "clear silicone" did not match the tan/brown caulk applied at the factory. Clear silicone was also applied to the "removable" rear bumper caps to keep them from vibrating out. Every couple hundred miles you have to stop and push them in or risk the caps falling out. I was told I could buy better caps in the store. Of course... The entry door strut bracket was "fixed" by replacing the original screws with larger screws and adding two more. It later failed again and was worked by a different Camping World location in Summer 2017. I found out that Houston damaged the door by its repair (adding larger and more screws I guess) because Lippert Components denied the claim due to damages by Camping World. Camping World then wanted to sell me a new door for over $1000 out of pocket including door, crate, freight, and labor. I declined to agree to pay for something that was damaged by Camping World. When full hookups were available, it was noted but not limited to the A/C was not fixed (same symptoms), the DVD/TV video signal issue persisted, there were still fresh water tank issues (later an electrical failure due to corrosion occurred), the fresh water tank fill port still leaked when filling, the bathroom door was still warped (they only centered the warp by realigning the hinges), the silicone job in the bathroom was so-so, and the shower door wasn't really fixed. Other problems later occurred. Matt Clark was the Service Manager in charge at the time and I pointed out issues still present. He said "I should have known" and "don't I research on the internet". He also knew the guy who applied all the silicone where it shouldn't have been. Sounded like a common practice the way he phrased it. He also said he would order a vent shroud and give me a call to have it replaced as well as address issues noted. He never called. I thought perhaps the experience here was isolated, but it was not. The same poor treatment and obvious systemic corporate cultural issues were also experienced at another Camping World location. All parties received Priority and/or Certified Mail w/Return Receipt including Camping World Corporate and Heartland RV. Results have been disappointing as the only option that has been presented was to sign a Heartland RV release agreement with no questions asked. Heartland RV's last correspondence with me via the BBB was I am no longer invited to the factory for factory repairs. I am a highly disappointed customer. I recommend tents to everyone from now on. read more

Update 04-14-16 Its now April 14th and we're set to pick up the new rig and drive it home. Flew into town and Adam picked me up at the hotel. This time the rig is ready to go and only needs me to go through and accept it. Everything looks really good. Only issues were slight damage to drivers mirror chrome which they caught and the TV source switch wasn't working which then doesn't power the antenna. Once I pointed it out they worked on it until it was fixed. Turned out to be loose wire on the back of the switch. Easy fix! The mirror was ordered and arrived shortly after I returned home which was at my request. Once again everyone I encountered was very nice and very helpful. Everything I stipulated was done, oil change and full tank of gas. Left late that evening and raced ahead of a storm that was coming! Spent the next 3 weeks moving the rig from Houston to Seattle which is over 3000 miles! Everything worked great and we had no issues! We've since been on a number of trips and continue to enjoy trouble free travel! Bottom line for me, I would absolutely buy another RV from Camping World Houston and Adam Terrell. I would recommend contacting them before you buy from anyone else. Virtually every RV dealer I've researched has poor reviews. I asked about them and the explanation was reasonable. Absolutely everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. I spent a career in a profession where customer service is paramount and critical to survival. I have a very high expectation when making an expensive purchase. Camping World Houston met that expectation and Adam made it an unexpected pleasure to purchase my new RV! Dropped off the RV to take care of two minor issues and get an inspection. To their credit, both issues and the inspection were taken care of. Unfortunately, I failed to check my sidewinder hitch before hitching up and pulling out. I had just checked it when I pulled it to Camping World, and what could go wrong ? Well on I-10 I heard a loud Clunk. Turned out it was the wedge which was supposed to be fastened to the underside of my hitch behind the pin. Service at Camping World had pulled the wedge presumably to use it as a conventional hitch. They then hug it with a short bolt presumably so it would not get lost ? Worse, they had dropped two undersized bolts through the back of the hitch to use it in "conventional" mode. This left me towing 30 miles with 2 undersized 1/4 inch bolts instead of two grade 8 5/8-11 inch bolts. I considered this as quite unsafe. Talked to the service manager and he listened and said he would talk to the service techs but didn't seem overly concerned. If I had sheared these bolts,. I would have been towing a trailer with two pivot points that could have led to dangerous sway and an accident. I will not be allowing anyone to move my fifth wheel again unless I am there personally to watch. I expected better professionalism from these guys. I think they left me with a dangerous situation. If you have to remove the wedge to tow, you need to clearly mark the location and put it back when you are done. Also, you should NEVER just grab a couple of undersized bolts. This might be OK in your lot, but if you forget, they get used on the highway. I would have been more than happy to move the RV with my truck, but they insisted they could move it. So today I decided to check out some Class C RV's. I have been looking online for about a month at different RV's locations in the Houston area. Lowell was one of the best Sales Associate I have ever met. He answered every question I had about about the RV's that I was interested in. I looked at 4 different Models and narrowed my choice down to one. He told me to do some research on that particular RV and come back to test drive it anytime. He gave me a few brochures to look through I told him I would be back in touch as soon as I do more research. For my first time in a RV store, I have to say it was amazing! I will be purchasing a new RV in the early part of next year with the help of Lowell Unruh. I am so excited! read more

I had been working on a deal with this dealership for the last two months. I live in Chicago and had set up a delivery date for the vehicle for today. As it was a motorhome I traveled to Katy to pick up the RV. I come to find out that they did not even inspect the unit until yesterday morning. I got a call from the sales person, that they needed to replace the converter. Ok, great no problem. Later in the day as I'm on Amtrak, I get another call that the Roof Top Air Conditioners and the Generator need to be replaced as well. He said apparently when they revived the unit it was not inspected properly. All of this is preamble to when I arrived today, for a 3 pm delivery. After sitting for 2 plus hours waiting for information and looking at the unit, seeing what needed to be done. The only person that had any contact with me was my sales rep. Even with all the challenges with components. Finally the sales rep brought his sales manager Scott to come see me. He was far from appreciative of all the work that I had put in to make the deal happen. I was told that the components would be repaired as they were in stock. Yet today was told they were not. The management decided they did not want to spend the money needed to repair the RV to meet the deal that we had in writing. Scott, said he would check on the parts with his service department and never returned. He instead sent the sales person to show me a non comparable unit in a rude attempt to appease me. When I told the sales rep that Scott had said he would get back to me on the parts, I was told that the sales rep was sent instead. The cowardly way and unprofessional way this was handled is beyond words. They finally got to the point where they suggested that the unit had been struck by lightning. I'm sure just another BS excuse for their incompetence. After two months with a deal on the table, not until the last minute was it checked out by their service people. The salesman sold it to me as a great deal, and that everything worked and had checked out. Basically, I was lied to, tricked to coming from Chicago to TX, for a bait and switch. And their level of caring was zero. No compassion for me, for he situation, for how much they wronged me. Scott disappeared like a coward after telling me he would return. Not one view of the service manager, and the general manager never even bothered to even come to shake my hand and apologize for the wrong doing. And no serious attempt to even make right the egregious disrespect they showed me. read more

Very unhappy with the customer service we've received here!! My husband and I have made several large purchases in the past including other RV's, vehicles & homes and have NEVER had to work so hard to try to make a purchase! It's like pulling teeth to get our sales associate to sell the RV to us! His lack of communication & motivation is Unacceptable and we will be taking our business elsewhere to purchase our new RV!! They really deserve a negative rating but since that isn't possible and I have to give them 1 star. I bought a 5th wheel toy hauler from them. Out of 11 electrical breakers only 4 of them worked. The converter was also out along with several other things. Everything is still under warranty so I took the RV to them for repairs on July 10, 2020. I was told that it would take about 2 weeks to get approval to do the work under warranty and then another 2 weeks to get parts and then repair work. It is now September 16 and they still do not have approval from warranty company. So I called the warranty company to find out why and was told that James at camping world didn't file the claim until September 3. They requested more information from James and have not heard back from him. I have been lied to so many times from this guy that I can't believe anything he says and I have no idea when I will get my RV back. Making payments on something that I can't use. I will never do business with them again. I have also filed a claim with the BBB and hoping that they can help. Looks like everyone that does business with Camping world is dissatisfied. Next I will be calling the RV manufacturer and see why they send out an RV that has breakers not working. That is a huge safety issue. read more

Sales people don't seem like they even want to sell... they don't explain properly... I wouldn't recommend you go.

I have had the worst experience with Camper World. I took my RV in for warranty work. When I came to pick it up I found that it had been lived in while on their lot. Pillows were not ours, the bathroom had urine on the toilet, the shower had been used, with a new bottle of soap 90% gone. Totally disgusting. I have talked to the GM David McClannan on two different occasions, he won't return calls, he won't take care of any issues caused by the use written of our RV on the lot. I have contacted Marcus Lemonis, the CEO, his claim of "if you're not happy, I'm not happy" does not seem to be holding water. All in all a sad day in the RV world. The dealership is totally deaf when it comes to customer complaints. "Buyer beware". This has gone on now for four months, no relief in sight. read more

Had to give 1 star to write review - would prefer to give -stars. Absolutely terrible service - dropped off trailer for insurance claim February 2020, it is now half way through February 2021 (no that's not a typo it has been over 1 year) and cannot list the amount of times we have had to chase them up not to mention our trailer is not repaired and is most likely in worse condition than when we dropped it off. They claim insurance denied claim however the cause Camper World are claiming is the issue could not even be possible (according to the manufacture). Service is terrible, manager never calls you back (Mitch) and Olga is not helpful at all - says she will call you back but will send you an email vs having a conversation with you... maybe she shouldn't be in the customer service industry if she doesn't like talking with customers. read more

If I could I would rate this place with no stars. Every single time I come here they are rude. They act like they know everything, but they never answer your questions directly. They didn't even try to sell when I came to buy an RV. Do not let them tell you that an RV is on sell and it is about to go up because RVs are always on sale throughout the year. They just try to scam you to buy one if you know nothing about RVs. I highly to not recommend this place. read more

It is what it is a meca place for RV shopping. It's huge but they have golf carts to get you around and a nice a/c and restrooms. We were browsing and and did not feel pressured MIKE helped us and went out of his way to plug up a unit to check one out we had our eye on. I have heard so many good and bad about this place but I haven't had work done here as of yet. I think you get what you put in it. read more
