I rarely leave reviews like this, but my experience with Blue Compass RV in Katy was disappointing enough that other RV owners should know about it. I have intentionally used this dealership for my 2026 Jayco Precept 34G because I wanted a relationship with one service center that knew my RV. Thus far, Blue Compass Katy was the only dealership that had ever worked on it. I have also spent a substantial amount of money with them having upgrades installed, including my lithium battery system, upgraded inverter/charger, Starlink system, 360-degree camera system, and a rather expensive towing package. My thinking was simple: rather than have different shops modifying and servicing the coach, I wanted one dealership familiar with everything that had been done to it. Unfortunately, that relationship is now over. On this most recent visit, my RV spent two solid months at the dealership. I'm not exaggerating; 8 solid weeks. One of the primary issues was determining why an air conditioner would initially operate from the upgraded lithium battery/inverter system and then shut down shortly afterward. After two months, not only was that problem never resolved -- not a single issue I brought the RV in for was resolved. I ultimately picked it up in essentially the same condition in which I dropped it off. During the process, I received different explanations. At one point I was told an undersized 80A breaker was the problem and that a 100A breaker and new wiring were needed. Later, I was told the converter wasn't wired to the air conditioner, which did not address the problem I had asked them to diagnose. Time was also spent testing the generator, even though I never asked them to investigate that and it was fully operational. Another surprise was being told they could not change the engine oil because they did not have a lift capable of handling my motorhome. I understand that shops have their own equipment and safety requirements, but I was surprised that a dealership servicing Class A motorhomes could not perform something as basic as an engine oil change on one. Communication was equally frustrating. I repeatedly had to request updates, and my service advisor often appeared to be waiting for information from the technician herself. I also included Joseph, the service manager, on multiple emails and eventually addressed emails directly to him explaining my concerns. Not once did Joseph respond or even acknowledge receiving them. Considering the amount of business I had given this dealership, the fact that they had my RV for two months, and that I was actively reaching out because the service experience was going so poorly, I find that lack of acknowledgment particularly disappointing. To Blue Compass's credit, I was ultimately told there would be no charge for this visit, which I appreciate. This review isn't about money. It's about leaving a nearly new Class A motorhome with the same dealership that performed all of its major upgrades, giving them two months to address the issues, repeatedly chasing updates, receiving conflicting explanations, getting no response from the service manager, and ultimately taking the RV home without a single issue I brought it in for being resolved. I understand that RVs are complicated and that not every problem can be diagnosed immediately. But this dealership knew this coach. They performed many of the upgrades themselves. They were the only dealership I had allowed to work on it. I gave them my business because I wanted that continuity and hoped to maintain a long-term service relationship. After this experience, that will no longer be the case. If you own a Class A motorhome -- particularly one with upgraded electrical systems -- I would ask detailed questions about their capabilities and what work they're actually equipped to perform before leaving your RV here. I purchased a brand new FR Aurora in 2023. The following year both A/C units went out. I contacted them immediately and they said it would get on it as son as I brought it in. It took them almost 6 months to it fix, it was June when I reported the problem. Almost a year to the date it was fixed both them went out again. I called to report the problem again and this time they did not answers my calls for awhile, and even I started to talk to a tech he hung up on me and it took another three months to get it in the shop to look at it. It took over a week before they gave it back to me (I live in it full time). it took over a month before they received the right A/C units in and fixed. This cycle keeps on happening to me. My A/C units are not working again (July. 2026). I called service department and to surprise nobody answered the call. I called again the next and left a message with the receptionist, now mind I left this message in the July. I have not heard from them yet and it's almost October. Pretty pathetic isn't? I would not a garden hose from now that know that how they are after the purchase. They don't care about after sales problems. Avery time I Have to replace the A/C units its covered under G.E. warranties, but Blue Compass don't care. I hope that district managers and higher up reads this do the right thing. read more

They paid it off, and they are pointing fingers at the finance company who's pointing the finger back leaving my friend screwed without a title and they aren't the into one that's has this happened to. Only giving one star because it made me. Do not buy from this company. They made my senior age parents sign a contract for an RV that wasn't ready so they could line their pockets. Huge electrical issues. Went to pick up and they said it was good to go. However you could smell the electrical burn. It has shorted out a microwave and an air conditioner. Walked in spoke w/ Taylor, she was wonderful and made the process exciting, as we did our walk through, we had been told by Taylor that the recliners would be replaced with new ones with cup holders and massaging as the ones being replaced had. Once we decided to buy the (used) 2019 Jayco, they exchanged Taylor w/ Kevin to complete our paperwork. We went back for our Demo Walk through 15 days later only to find out that Taylor (our Sales Rep) had moved to Austin. So, the verbal of being told about the recliners having cup holders and massaging (as the others had) was not provided. Instead, they waited until after our Jayco was brought to us to have a tech bring the replacing recliners that are much smaller and very generic. I went to speak with the GM RJ, whom by the way was a very kind gentleman. In our conversation he stated, truth be told, it is a (used) RV, so we are no obligated to replace the recliners. I said I was not going to fuss about it. Moral of this, not everyone has Integrity, if you are buying something and someone verbally states a change. GET IT IN WRITING. read more

Sam the sales manager will throw out all the dad jokes all day, Chris the GM runs a merry ole ship. Everyone seems happy and content to be helping all the customers that go through on a daily basis.
