We bought a camper. Sales was good, turn over mechanic was excellent, finance was the drawback. We paid cash for our rig. To start with we got a call a couple days before pickup from them with some sketch deal, wanting us to finance, pay interest for 1 year... "to help others who may not qualify"... Then, when doing paperwork he told us the tires were going to explode, and basically the entire camper would fall apart on the way home, so we needed to pay an extra $12K for his coverage... we didn't appreciate it at all. read more

It was screw up after screw up. The only saving grace was Chad, our sales rep. He tried to stay on top of things but could only do so much. I'm still waiting for a rear window shade that works. I ended up replacing the door lock myself because I knew how and it wasn't worth $60 of fuel to let them do it. (The lost the keys to the original lock - only fix was for the manufacturer to ship a complete new lock.) The sad thing is that all of the issues boil down to communication. If their internal departments communicated with each other, and with us, most of this could have been avoided. read more

Bought used RV and they were supposed to have everything fixed. They did not fix the things agreed to. Had to spend night in hotel room because trailer was not ready. The they said they would reimburse me because trailer was not ready. They did not reimburse me for hotel stay. Finance department was trying to upsell me on things I did not want I have been to the Katy and Willis location service departments to fix things agreed to before purchase. Should have never picked up trailer before things agreed to were fixed. I was at 1 location for a month waiting on them. Finally left. I rarely leave reviews but I really believe I need to review my recent experience with Holiday World Willis. I have read many of the very negative reviews about their customer service and, honestly, they made me a little nervous about buying from them. But, I really liked my salesman who I met at the Houston RV show and, since Holiday World was the only dealer that actually had in stock the RV I wanted to buy, I nervously signed the contract. My experiences since then have been fantastic in every respect. Dan, my finance guy, was super helpful and really worked to get me the best deal possible. Closing was timely and he was super informative. He explained all the aftermarket options I could purchase but did NOT push me to buy them. Dorothy in parts has been super helpful all along the way. She recommended things I could do to upgrade my RV but never pushed. Again, she was always ready to help me with questions and always went above and beyond -- even helping me in areas that are way outside her area of responsibility. Finally, Mikey and Tater in service have been absolutely Johnny on the Spot. Super responsive and super helpful. Dan, my finance guy, explained that they have read and are very aware of the negative reviews about their dealership. They have made a very targeted effort to get better and, at least in my experience, they have done this. I don't know if everyone will have the same great experience I have had so far (and if that changes I will update), but so far I have nothing but praise for every aspect of my transaction and I an very grateful to all of them. So, even though they have been beat up pretty good on this site, I honestly think they have listened and have improved. So, I am a very happy and satisfied customer. read more

Bought a fith wheel from them a couple months ago and used it for the first time about two weeks ago and this happened! Black tank started leaking! This is the text message string to the salesman below! All I asked was if they could just sell me the tanks at their cost and I will install them. Pretty simple right! Only had it a couple months ago. Don't think I was asking for much! But the salesman was no help not even attempting to help! Tells me a lot about him personally and the company as a whole! There are some other issues with the trailer but I will just deal with it. This was one reason why they wanted me so badly to buy the warranty that would have almost doubled my payment. I called to see if Holidays World can do an emission test on my class C camper. The rep said yes and no appointment needed. We went out of our way for the test when we were told they don't do emission testing. Why doesn't Holiday World train their people instead of letting them say anything to prospective customers? I bought a brand new Grand Design travel trailer. I used it one weekend and found a few items that needed to be corrected. I brought the unit in on 06/24/2024. I have not heard from anyone. I called today 07.22.24 and they said they are behind because of the hurricane. I bought a used 5th wheel last year from Holiday World. The buying experience was pretty good, right up until the time I signed on the dotted line. At that point the finance department decided I needed to give them a cashier's check. Nothing was mentioned about that until then. So I had to go find a cashier's check. Then they tried to deliver the trailer with empty propane tanks as indicated by some pretty nice gauges on the tanks. When I checked the propane later that week, the gauges had been removed and only a regulator remained. I called my salesman and had to leave a message. He never returned my call. A few days later, I discovered a remote control in a cabinet with no indication as to what it was for. I checked the Owner's Manual, but found no mention of the remote. Again I called Holiday World, and again had to leave a message, and again no one returned my call. Other minor issues have come up, too numerous to mention here. Bought a new Reflection from Holiday World of Willis. Salesman was great very responsive and returned my calls timely. As soon as I closed on the trailer the "customer service" ended. Have had nothing but frustration with trying to get warranty work done. AirConditioner compressor quit and it took over two weeks just to get corporate approval to replace the AC unit. Now they told me to bring it in today and they'd fix it. Got there and the parts haven't come in yet. I've missed two camping trips over this and no end in sight. They don't return calls, even when I leave messages. Tell me the parts are in when they ain't. Now I'm held hostage and they don't care cuz they got my money. I have had nothing but horrible service from Holiday World of Willis LLC We took our new trailer in on July 26, 2021 for warranty work and some hail damage repair. Today is December 10, 2021 and we still don't have our trailer. They don't return my calls, or emails, or text. Even my insurance company has problems with them sending in the correct paperwork in a timely manner. My 2 contacts in the service department no longer work there....and I was never told who my new contact is either time. The general manager of this place won't even take my call. I have lost all hope of ever seeing my 2021 Grand Design 2800BH trailer again. I WOULD NOT be recommend this business to anyone. read more

I recently purchased my Keystone Hideout KHT21243 in July. Let me start by saying I was so excited about this new venture I was on; I had finally decided to move from the city and live on my own on some property with relatives. I searched everywhere and ended up driving over an hour to Katy, TX. After hours looking and working with the dealer, I found the one. Everything was going well I finished the paperwork and headed home as a full time RV newbie. I got the appointment setup for my walk through and pick up from Katy I thought for sure things couldn't be better. Well, that couldn't be more wrong. There are so many issues with this travel trailer and I won't list them here but I am disappointed with this purchase and feel so distraught over it I am just at a loss. I tried to call, email, and to go online to set appointments with the service department at Holiday World in Willis, TX since my purchase in July. I have left voicemails, messages with customer service and did online enquiries to schedule appointments. Wednesday by mistake I called the Katy location and spoke to a very nice lady there who told me I had an appointment I missed on 10/29/21. I told her I had no idea it existed and that I did not make this appointment and when she told me she was at the Katy location I I would never have made the appointment and she told me the Willis location made it. Now why in the world would the location I have been trying to get the appointment set up at make an appointment for me in Katy? I live in WILLIS! Next, I called Willis again and was finally sent to a person in the service department. I explained to him what I have been going through and he was non-apologetic he didn't even acknowledge my calls and messages, but I know they got them because the other service department said it's all in the system. He told me he can't get my TT in until 12/17/2021 and I would have to leave it and it would be weeks before they even looked at it and then 4-6 weeks after that to get my parts in. I told him I live in my TT full time, and he said bring it in on the 17th we will see what's needed to order take it back home with me and it will be 4-6 weeks even more maybe before it will be 4-6 weeks even more maybe before they would get the parts in and then bring back and leave it to be fixed for another length of time. I have to give it one star in order to write this review; otherwise it would be a negative ten star! Gerald is the world's worst service advisor! He absolutely does not communicate timely or accurately! He lies, he is flippant and down right out not concerned about your needs. We are full timers and I ran out of my medication, the cat's medication & food because he lied to us about how long to expect repairs. We called Wednesday, Thursday & Friday and never received a call back. Monday we call and actually get him on the phone. He tells us that it will be ready and he will call us. He never called. I could have gone to pickup more medicine & food if he had communicated truthfully, accurately & timely. Do not buy anything from Holiday World Willis so to avoid their extremely horrible service! Update- Arrived to pickup said "ready" rig (aka my home) and the service actually had not been completed! Now we have to take it back again to have the remaining repairs completed! LIERS! Also, they left my refrigerator door opened while electricity is on and left the radio on with their heavy metal station playing! This is my house! Use your own damn radio! Another update! We made an appointment to have work done on our RV back in mid February. We brought in the coach March 28th for the appointment. It has now been 5 weeks since we brought it in and still not fixed. We have been told on two different occasions that the unit was ready and made the mistake of driving to the dealer to pick it up without bothering to call. Of course there was a miscommunication and the unit was not ready, in fact the part had still not arrives. We were then told it was ready and we could come pick it up again. This time we called and low and behold, the unit is still not ready and parts are still pending arrival. Communication is non existent with this dealership. Calls to the service department go to voice mail and nobody bothers to call back. I left a voice mail with Tina Wainwright- Customer Service Manager, but she has not bothered to call back either. The only time the dealership acted like they cared was when they were selling me the unit. Since then it has been a complete nightmare dealing with them. If you plan to spend the amount of money that is required to buy either a trailer or motor home I would recommend going to a dealership that cares about tis customers. Clearly this is not a dealership that does that. Update: Just got word that the part was not the correct one for our unit and a different part needs to be ordered. No time frame on when that will arrive. It has ow been 46 days since we made the appointment and 33 days that it has been at the dealer with no resolution. read more

At one point, two weeks after my purchase, I called to check the status of the order. Ryan told me that the part was ready for pickup. When I arrived, the part was not there. They didn't even have a tracking number for it. During a subsequent phone call, Cameron blamed Grand Design for the error in shipment. I called Grand Design on the sly to verify his story. It was false and they had no record of it. I also requested that Zack check the tracking number for a solid delivery date. There was no tracking number available. I waited well past the delivery window for my part to arrive, to no avail. I demanded a refund today. It's sad. When I bought my Reflection in 2017, I was told that Holiday World did not provide good service to customers that didn't purchase their RV from their dealership. TL;DR (summary) - Bought a new teardrop trailer from them and had it serviced / minor initial warranty work - both experiences were great. I'd do it all over again. Sales - We knew what we wanted and they had one.. even so they went over all the details with us, full walkthrough - etc. No pressure just lots of answers.. Service - First let me say their older ratings were not that good, and I addressed that with Sales upfront - as this is a major part of any vehicle, service and warranty work. They have revamped their service department and leadership in the last year and it shows. Everyone was supportive and communicated well, whereas many of the concerns I see folks bringing up have to do (1) warranty approval and (2) parts on order. The former is a back and forth process that always takes a bit. The latter is at the mercy of the poor supply chain processes everyone now has. They have to go through the component manufacturers who they themselves have parts on order. EVERY dealer has these delays - and they have little to no control over them. So TALK with your advisor, get the facts... which could be a several weeks delay on parts (IF they are sent on schedule). Be prepared to wait - consider using your RV without that capability if you can... Manage expectations and improve relationships for the long term - the same as you would for any other service. read more

I wish I could leave zero stars! What a garbage company! So I go in to look at class A motor homes and was met by Lewis. We told Lewis what we were looking for and the bumbling and stumbling began. After looking at a few units that didn't at all fit what we described we wanted, Lewis mentions that there is one out front that we need to look at. Lewis repeatedly talks about how great the deal is on that unit and the price is amazing. We go out front and look at it and like the layout. Lewis keeps on about the price..."the best thing about this one is the price, the price is amazing, the price can't be beat, the price makes this an easy decision, the price, the price, the price...". So we ask him again for the price and he says that he has to talk to his manager. I hate stupid sales games. If the sales person cannot give the price then that is one horribly run organization. They should either hire people they trust or get off their lazy ass themselves and talk to the customer! So after waiting about 3pm minutes with no price, I let Lewis know that we had an appointment to get to. We give Lewis our number and info on a possible trade and he writes it down and say he will call by end of day or tomorrow. After no call that day and through the next, we head back up there to get the price. Lewis again stumbles through telling us how great the price will be and then says he has to get it from his manager...again. 30 minutes later with no price and the same stalling, repetitive, insulting questions we still have no price. I looked at my wife and asked if she wanted to go to Camping World and she nodded and we began to leave. As we were leaving here comes Lewis trying to ask us questions that I've already answered to keep us there. I told him I've never had to work so hard just to get a price in my life. Lewis responded "It's not work, I just need my manager to come talk to you." I don't need a manager to talk to me about a price. What I need...is a damn price! Lewis said he would call with a price later that day. Guess what? Yeah, still no price. What a joke of an organization. If you want to feel slimy about an RV deal - head on up to Holiday World in Willis. By the way - dealing with Camping World was very nice. Excellent selection and a sales person that had all the information at her fingertips and wasn't afraid to tell us a price. I was riding my motorcycle home and saw the dealership and went inside to get a card of the person that was responsible for consignment sales or trade in so I could make an appointment next week. They required me to come in sit at a table to fill out a questionnaire, felt like a used car dealer. I requested again , could I please have a card . When that said can you come in Monday ? When I asked do you have a trade in manager , does he have cards ? Not sure the issue , so I got up and walked out. UPDATE 1: I emailed Tina as requested and heard back from her within an hour. She has promised to provide an update by the end of the day. We were excited when we took delivery of our '21 Keystone Passport. During the walk through, I asked that the A/C, among other things, be checked out as it did not appear to be cooling properly. At delivery, I was assured that the A/C met spec. I should have known that it was not when none of the other issues had been addressed. We took the trailer out in October on the first trip and had no air! The trailer has been sitting in the Willis yard since October 12. Every time I call, I seem to get a different answer. While the trailer has been in their possession. a cap on my awning was broken. I have been assured that it will be fixed, but my confidence level is low at this point. I still do not have an answer as to what is wrong with it and when it will be fixed. Corporate has called me, promising an answer/call back the next day. Obviously, the phone has been silent. I am very disappointed with my experience with Holiday World of Willis' service department. I called in January 2021 to schedule an appointment for annual maintenance. First available appointment was April. I arrived to drop off my travel trailer in April and was told they do not have a record of my appointment. Customer service advised an employee was known for taking appointments and not entering them into the system. Nothing they can do since they are busy and I didn't have any appointment confirmation from Holiday World to further argue. We scheduled another appointment two weeks later. We arrived to appointment #2 and spent an hour with customer service who seemed to be annoyed that we were there. Eventually we were told to leave our trailer in the parking lot because they were backlogged in the intake process and service would call on Monday after taking a look. No one called the following week. We called Friday and customer service took a long time locating our trailer in the system, when located she advised it has not been looked at and there is nothing further she could tell us. Service manager wasn't available and we left a message. Never received a return call. Emailed Tina referenced in yelp responses by Kevin H. And emailed my sales agent. No response. My husband and I arrived the next day to discuss with a manager. Service manager not available. Customer service advise the appointment was for intake only and didn't know when they would get reviewing, let alone fixing our unit. My husband finally explained this was a non-warranty service issue and Dakota, the service technician got involved. He agreed to look at our trailer and fix if possible. Boy do I wish I had read reviews before purchasing my 2022 Cougar in September 2022! I bought new as we were going to be newbie full time RVers and I wanted something in good shape with a service department to fall back on if we needed help with repairs. They gave us a quick walk through when we bought the rig but it was nowhere near what we needed to even operate it. when asked what maintenance we would need to do they just told us to make sure we lubed the seals. Any time we have tried to get repairs done it has been a hassle unless I take the rig there and refuse to leave until it's done. When the locks were drilled while it was in storage I tried to have these guys fix it. There was a drill hole in the door. They used a glob of clear silicone to fill the hole and charged me $75! Attempts to contact the service department were unanswered. The rig itself is garbage. We ended up not living in it full time so it has fewer than 100 miles on it and we've only used it a couple times. Each time we use it something else breaks. We are not hard on it. We have been shopping for a new RV for a couple months, we had stopped in and met with a salesman by the name of Mark, at the Willis location. From the get go, we had a bad experience. While he was out showing us various campers, he decided to take a phone call, and was on the phone, no less than 20 minutes. He then didn't want to show us anymore and went back inside. He told us that he had to get something done for another customer, (WE were the customer in front of him. not the phone) SO, we left, and continued our search. Once we found the model we wanted, I reached out to Mark once again via text on 4/22/2024. I asked him for his price and availability on the grand design model we wanted to purchase. Since Holiday world is our local dealer for Grand design, we were hoping to buy from them, even though my gut was telling me different. after many questions, he sent me a price quote that looked like a whole bunch of chick scratch to say the least. It was a bunch of numbers and a bunch of scratched out, marked out numbers. I could not even decipher what the price was without having my wife decipher it. Totally unprofessional! After this, I sent him a message saying thank you, and that we had found the exact unit for much less at another dealer, and that the almost $4000 upcharge fee was not something we would have needed. I still don't understand why they tried putting that fee in there, with NO explanation. Well, I received a text message from salesman MARK at 4:29AM on 4/23/2024!!!! yes-- 4:29 AM-- Now I work nights, so it wasn't a big deal as I was awake, what was alarming was the message that reads EXACTLY AS FOLLOWS - AND I QUOTE - ( I HAVE THE PROOF) "WTF. Do you treat all humans like this?" I WAS BEYOND MAD! This is who you have representing your company. ??? I was respectful and let him know we would be purchasing elsewhere, and he immediately flipped out! Had one of my employees ever treated a customer like this, they would be fired on the spot. I will NEVER even step foot in, mention or refer anyone to Holiday World RV... I will actually post reviews on this experience. I hope this review makes it up to corporate. I have had literally THE WORST service experience I have ever encountered, going back to March, one month after purchasing my brand new travel trailer. Horrible communication, NO follow-up, total disregard to verbal commitments, to name a few. When they replaced a defective component, they damaged a cabinet door. Have been trying to get that replaced since the end of May. I have called Grand Design to discover on more than one occasion, that what HW service tells me appears to not be truthful. Still trying to get two issues from our purchase date resolved. If I could give them a rating of less than one star, I would certainly do it. I searched through YELP. I found 10 positive reviews and 23 Bad reviews. One of the bad reviews dated back to 2017. Their incompetent Service Department and manager was mentioned repeatedly. This shows me that Holiday World doesn't care about their reputation and has never heard of "Continuous Improvement". Maybe they need a management turnover. Do not go here you will regret it. The Service Manager told our insurance adjuster that after keeping our RV three months, he had no intention of making the repairs on our camper, which was damaged by their own neglect. Then vandalized behind their locked gate. We requested winterizing during the freeze here in Texas, of course after the freeze destroyed our water heater the service manager lied and said we refused winterizing. The service we received was appalling. We bought a new unit and we are now without ac for the second time in 2 weeks. They replaced one ac and it is now not working. Was told the unit is working but it's 95 in the coach. That's not what you except from a new team or a service department. The list goes on with tire pressures wrong, no air extensions on duel tires, mud flap destroyed, with no answer as to why it's on the front of the tire, no instructions given on the Mercedes chassis. Service manager showed no concern, practically called me a liar and blamed everything on the factory. I called the factory and was told several times that parts had been sent to them. Parts manager would not return calls. I finally left and still never received a couple of parts that were ordered. Service manager and parts manager even tried to tell me those parts were never on my camper,2021 keystone bullet crossfire. I sent pictures from the factory showing these parts belong on my camper. The service and parts department are an experience I hope to never experience again. It was a nightmare. I am a retired Mimi, my camper was under one year old and I missed spring break, easter, memorial day and summer with my grandchildren, not to mention I lived in my camper and had to make arrangements last but not least, I was accused of ruining my entire braking system and they would not repair them.
