Unfortunately, a tree fell on my travel trailer during Beryl. The front end and roof were damaged…read more We needed a new roof, air conditioner and the front end replaced. We took it to Houston RV Repair on 45 North. We had used them once before in 2020. Work was satisfactory. Unbeknownst to us, they have changed ownership. This visit has turned into a NIGHTMARE! They kept it 4 months. A month in, they asked for a deposit. I received the first of two checks from my insurance co. Reluctantly, I signed over the 7,600k check to them as they were asking for a down payment. A week or so later they talked to my insurance co and filed a supplemental claim. The check was mailed to them. This 3k plus check was mailed with my name as well as theirs. They cashed it without my signature. Now, except for my 500-dollar deductible, they've been paid in full. 3 months later we start calling them. Rarely does someone answer the phone at the shop. You leave a message, and they DON'T return the call. My husband reaches them finally and he's told - "Oh, yes...it will be ready next week". They ask for the deductible. I said, no way...not till we pick it up. TWO weeks later we're finally told it's ready. My husband goes to pick it up near their closing time. It was a rushed transaction. Unfortunately, my husband didn't go inside the trailer, nor did he receive any paperwork or invoice. It was dark when he got home with the trailer. The next morning, I went inside the trailer. OMG, it's trashed. Screws, trash, tools, tacks and sawdust are everywhere. My trailer has never been so dirty. My bed had tacks and screws and large chunks of wood all over it. It took me 3 hours to scrub and clean the trailer. I had to wash walls, floors and all surfaces as they were covered in sawdust and dirt. I also discovered that my 50ft power cord had been replaced with a 25ft cord with exposed wires. There was a hole punched in my ceiling, and someone had been through my cabinets. I call to complain and of course...no answer. I called the next day and called and called till finally they answered. I spoke to Michael (owner) and explained my problems. He acted very nonchalant until I said..."you stole my power cord" he then says he must put me on hold because he's so mad I accused them of stealing. The conversation goes downhill from there. We ended the unpleasant call with the promise that he would find my misplaced power cord and call me back. Of course, I never got that call. So, I grab their inferior cord and drive to the shop. I walk in and throw the cord on the floor and demand my cord. Now I'm getting yelled at by an employee for throwing the cord on the floor. Unbelievable conversation ensues and it seems I'm the villain for wanting my 50ft cord that's not damaged. Terrible unproductive conversation while being threatened that they will call police to file trespassing charges on me. I leave! Call my insurance to get a copy of the invoice. One obvious thing, 582.49 charge for replacing the decals on the front. The problem is...NO DECALS INSTALLED. I'm wondering what else was charged but not done. To add to all the insults...it appears the work they did do is faulty. We have a leak upfront where the work was done. So, theft, insurance fraud, cashing a check without my signature and work that leaves me with a leaking trailer. They have caused me great emotional stress. Houston RV repair has been in denial about everything. They immediately went defensive and never once asked how they could make me happy. I was the enemy for expecting a clean trailer and my belongings to be intact and to have work completed that was paid for in full.

From the moment the phone is answered, or you leave a voice mail message, you can feel confident that your needs will be promptly addressed. When you arrive on their lot, one of their employees will become your concierge to assist you with any personal needs you may have to take care of before placing the vehicle with them. Then, they take extra time listening to you and fully understanding what the problems are before they even begin. Houston RV Repair will take the time to not only repair problems well, but also investigate the possible cause and assist with future preventions of the same problem reoccurring. Their rates are extremely reasonable. While you can ask for an estimate before proceeding with work, RV owners understand that the remedy can often be addressed during discovery. They maximize their time in service which minimizes the impact in your pocketbook. I'm so happy to have found Houston RV Repair! They are the only place in Houston I trust my RV with.

I strongly advise against using this company for RV rentals. Our experience with them during…read morePrairie View's Homecoming was an absolute nightmare. Michael and Lindsey misled us, repeatedly claiming they were en route for delivery (for which we paid a $600 delivery and pickup fee). Hours passed, and they still hadn't arrived. When we tried calling, they either put us on hold indefinitely, didn't answer at all, or told us someone would call us back - which never happened. After repeated calls, I finally reached someone who said the RV was supposedly "there." However, no one had ever asked us for a specific space number or directions, so how could they even know where to deliver it? Despite our calls, no one provided a clear drop-off time, and by then, it was too late. We were frustrated and disgusted with the complete lack of customer service and attention to detail. To make things worse, they charged our card while we sat on campus waiting. Eventually, they told us the RV was "on the way" - but this was one hour before tailgate entry closed, after we'd been waiting in the heat for four hours with cars packed full of supplies and perishable food. Then, Michael and Lindsey casually informed us they had switched our RV to another vehicle, without notifying us. Only after bringing this up did we receive an email about the switch, which felt incredibly dismissive. When the RV finally arrived, it was much smaller than expected, old, filthy, and completely unfit to accommodate us and our gear. It hadn't even been filled with water, and the delivery person broke the generator upon arrival. Even without the break, the generator's breaker kept tripping, so we would have had no power. Despite paying for water, dumping services, and a generator, none of these were delivered as promised. We were so fed up that we sent the RV back and ended up without an RV for the entire weekend. After ten years of tailgating at Prairie View's Homecoming, this was by far our worst experience. Michael and Lindsey's lack of customer service and disregard for their clients is appalling. Use this company at your own risk - they'll take your money without delivering the services you paid for. Not to mention we lost money on our parking spot 590 bucks, because we didn't have an RV.

This is not where you want to spend your hard earned money…read more On 10/23/24 Wednesday @12:10pm spoke w/Lindsey (who was helping at the office) called again @ 14:26 spoke w/Cruz he said he would relay the message on needing a generator cord that was not in the RV. @ 1730 my sister and fellow customer of your company Lindsey said rep would be at my RV by 1800/6pm. Lindsey gave my sister Jonathan's number bc he had the cord to the generator. By 2000 still no Jonathan. After contacting Jonathan we had to walk at least 1.5 miles to find him. Jonathan gave us the generator cord. Cindy opened the slides and awnings while Jonathan figured out why the AC was not blowing cold air. After troubleshooting for 20/30 minutes Jonathan tells me the LVRM AC is not working. He's gonna have someone come out by 9:30am on 10/24 Thursday to fix. Jonathan also tried leveling the RV but the sliding doors to the shower would not stay closed and frig kept on freezing and icing up-(found this out after Jonathan left for the night-- RV was not leveled properly). We lost an entire day of use and a portion of our food went bad because our ice melted and could only salvage a portion by using another customers refrigerator. 10/24 Thursday called Jonathan at 11am no answer. By 12pm still no technician. Jonathan and technician showed up around 2pm by 2:30pm on 10/24 Thursday Jonathan said it can't be fixed it will need to be replaced. Around 2:30pm Jonathan called Mike (owner) to relay the news. Jonathan said we would get a call from Mike at 5:30pm on 10/24 to find out when they will be out to replace the part. Mike did not call at 5:30pm we called at 5:55 and spoke with Mike. Mike relayed he couldn't order the part because the company closes at 4:30pm. So the part would get ordered on 10/25 Friday and was told there would be a technician to replace by 11am on 10/26 Saturday. No tech showed up nor did we receive a phone call about the status. We called Mike at 12:47pm on 10/26 Saturday he said he ordered the wrong part and was unable to repair. By this time, we only have less than one day left; all the while no AC in the primary spaces. I was hosting friends and family, cooking and couldn't be inside the RV bc it was too hot. The awnings both front and rear didn't work. The space was not cleaned. I had dirt/hair (shower) and empty bags of trash inside the cabinets and when pulled out the couch there was an overwhelming amount of trash and items left behind from other guests. This was not a good experience at all. I'm requesting a reimbursement of $1150.00. I only used 35% of the RV. The other 65% was either unusable, dirty or broken. Follow up coming in regards to our experience with Mike and this company. After chasing down Mike because he dodged my calls for a few days or would say I'm going to call you in a hour which did not happen. Instead of negotiating a reimbursement amount he tells me, this is what we did. Wait, why wasn't there a conversation about what happens next. We paid $2000 for 5 days and we expected 100% usage of the RV we rented. Mike tells me that I will receive a 1 day refund and a 2 day gift certificate for future rental. When speaking with Mike on Saturday 10/26 of said rental we discussed that we did not want any credits, he said he understood and would see what can be done once the rental was returned. He tells me he has no control over the RV not having working AC on delivery and that he rents the RVs from other people. I told him that was not my problem. As a paying customer I expected to use 100% of the RV we rented and that didn't happen. He was very dismissive and tried to tell me that my perspective was not the same as his. He's exactly right my perspective was not the same bc he's the owner of American Dream Vacations in Houston and I'm a paying customer and I'm not happy. Had I read the reviews prior to this experience I would not have booked with him. My sister had a few challenges with her experience as well. As previous renters have stated use at your own risk.
