I stop taking my RV there, not because they don't do good work, but because it takes so long. It takes, at least, two weeks to get an appointment. That only puts you into a line to be looked at. If warranty is needed, it takes 2 days for approval. Then parts are ordered. No telling how long that will take. Once parts are in, they will fix it. They do good work, the process is to long. With RVs being of such low quality, they are over worked and they can't carry every part. read more

Purchased a travel trailer from here in October. First want to say that TJ was wonderful to work with and this review only reflects working with Mindy the Finance Manager. I did the final signing in her office. The first agreement for me to sign the numbers looked off, so grabbed my phone calculator and the total was off more then 1500 in her favor. Second sales agreement seemed right after arguing for 10 minutes that I didn't want the extended warranty. The contract for 40,986.00 was the only one I signed. Later I find that they received a check for 41,622.00 from my credit union. I called up Mindy about this and got blown off, and told to contact Denise (which was awesome to work with) head of HR. She pulls up there copy of the sales agreement that shows 41,622.00 with a signature on it. So somewhere along the way my signature got forged on a new contract. I sent over my contract to Denies, and then Denies sends it to the GM. Ten minutes later I hear back from Mindy. She starts fast talking say "don't you remember you started signing the wrong contract and I stopped ya". This tells me right away that it was her that forged my signature. Anyways I got it sorted out, but everyone needs to check there contracted agreed price against how much Camping World got from your finance institution. Chances are they are off by just less then a 1k in favor of camping world. I also recommend bringing a witness while taking a video when meeting with Mindy to sign the final sales contract. I will be dropping this info to Draper Police, but being less then 1k in fraud they probably won't do much. read more

Basics: I bought a 2007 FourWinds WindSport 35B in September, and wanted it inspected and ready with some minor fixes (storage bins locking, light bulbs...). What happened.... 1. First, there were the LONG wait times. I called on Sept 25th for an appointment and was told the first available was October 28. OK, not happy, but, the area is busy and I took the appointment. 2. I arrive the morning of the appointment to be greeted first by a check in person in service, who claimed I wasn't even on the schedule, and proceeded to tell me why. She was incorrect, and incompetent. Her counterpart found me on the schedule. 3. I then talked to the Service Manager (Jeff Carlson), who told me they were still backed up, and despite waiting over a month, it would be another 7-10 days before they would even look at the unit. Frustrated, but what can I do at his point? So I leave the unit. a. And despite calling in and talking to someone, apparently at corporate who recommended wheel bearing packs (not applicable to Class A RVs I later learned), and several other services, I was told they aren't available at the Draper location on checkin, despite being booked for those services. b. Any appointment accepted should be honored. Had I know it would be 7 weeks before the unit would be looked at I would have gone elsewhere. Deceptive. 4. Day 11, no call from service, so I start calling in. Day 13 before I hear anything back, and only via email, Jeff won't take a call. Day 14, I'm coming to pick it up, have it ready tomorrow. I don't know when/if/what you're even doing on the unit. a. Day 12 one call, one item - Price to Install Backup Cameras - $2350 - Uh NO! b. $355 inspection says "Everything is Good" c. The night we pick it up we go to Little Sahara for a night, and the batteries are dead in the morning from just running a propane furnace with electric fan at a 55 degree setting overnight (30 degree weather). Both batteries test dead and I have to replace them. Thanks for that great inspection and warning! NOT 5. Going back to CampingWorld to try to buy new AGM batteries. Clerk at parts looks peeved that I made her look up from her personal phone to even answer a question and responds like an irritated adolescent. Looks up the wrong batteries (12v vs. my 6v), and tells me Cold Cranking Amps. When I ask for Amp Hours, she's insulted and doesn't have the information, then tells me to ignore everything she previously said because they weren't for the batteries I need. I buy the batteries anyway, but they have ¼ inch screw on connectors and no adapters for the 3/8 in clamps of my cables. Returned. Batteries purchased elsewhere. Turns out the old batteries are 135 amp hour golf cart lead acid batteries and 2 years old. AGM were needed for cold weather and higher amp hours (225AH/battery x 2). 6. Basic light bulbs aren't available to replace the floor lights in my unit. 7. What was done, hopefully correctly: a. My oil was changed b. 4 storage bins now close and lock. c. $665 cost The inspection was a clear waste of money since they didn't even find the battery issue. All results are suspect. A refund of the inspection would be a starting point. I would suggest you have an endemic attitude problem with the employees at the Draper location. Customer service was not top of mind, and they all seemed pissed off and irritated by any questions as well as providing incorrect and bad information. Right now, Camping World is not where I look for service, nor parts. P.S. On posting a poor review, I was contacted by a 3rdparty to get my feedback. The person there, Dennis 844-632-5990x2515, was also unhelpful in anyway, and the answering service didn't even say what the company does. They beg for you to give them a four star review after you buy your travel trailer. They are untruthful in how easy it is to get repairs on your trailers. We waited 6 weeks to get a recalled part replaced. Then two weeks later they called back because the work had not been completed. If you try to call in to the service department or to parts, they are always in a meeting and if you leave a message to have a call returned, don't expect one. Never Again! I'm giving one star, only beause I can't submit a review with zero. I ordered a part (over $2K) online with in-store pickup. Never heard from them. Called 10- days later to check on the order. Was informed the shipment of my item had been rejected, and the order cancelled. Again no notification. To add insult to injury they also failed to initiate the refund of my purchase...WTF?!!!! I worked with their corporate Customer Service team to get a refund on the way. Their response to my concerns is they can't really control how the individual stores handle orders or response to customers. Complete and utter incompetence and lack of customer service. It is now August 1st. Still have not had an email, text, or phone call from a single soul even though I received 2 responses within 12 hours of my original post. You guys are so full of it this is just you trying to save face! We have now forked out another $990 to have it towed.. And another $1100 to have the starter relay replaced after having forked out $1300 for roadside and a new starter 2 weeks ago. For sure going to file something with the BBB, you should be investigated if not shut down, you are super shady! Do not get the Good Sam extended service plan, I hardly used it and sold my 2019 keystone Cougar trailer, and called 12 times to Good Sam and Camping world to get a refund on remainder of funds on contract. Just kept getting run around, call him call her, send letter etc. Financing was confusing on purpose to add extra charges, beware will not Buy another trailer from them, much easier to buy a car than their process. We purchased a brand new Keystone 23MLS 5th wheel from this Camping World. On our virgin voyage, the HVAC system didn't work, the shower handles fell off, the shower wasn't properly sealed and leaked, the molding above the bed fell off, the struts didn't work properly, the recliners broke, sawdust fell out of the vents, one outlet didn't work, and the wheel cover on the driver side flaps in the wind. Camping world has had the RV since October 6, 2021 and called in late February to let us know repairs were done. Not only we're several of the repairs not done, someone had run into the arm of the awning making it unusable. Needless to say, it is still at Camping World! We have written to both Camping World and Keystone and haven't heard a word from them. I would definitely not recommend either Camping World or Keystone for RV purchases and repairs. read more

Overall, we've had a great experience with our camp trailer and camping world. We purchased our trailer from the Kaysville location but ho to draper for everything since it's closer. Of course there have been a few issues with the trailer - some due to errors we've made, some because of manufacturer defects or warranty work (it's a house on wheels, you'll get some issues regardless). Cary is our service guy and he's fantastic. That said, we had one of the most frustrating experiences at any sort of retail store, I've had in years, just yesterday. We're preparing for a 10 day camping trip and needed a tail light cover, a new pull lever for the grey tank, and a spare tire cover. Went to the parts desk and told the lady what I needed and she asked what kind of taillight cover. I said 'I don't know, it's for a 2018 mallard 185 that we bought from you guys. The response and attitude I got made me feel like an idiot because I didn't come in with a picture or more information about the taillight. Am I wrong to think that someone at the parts desk at the dealership I purchased the trailer from would be able to tell me what light cover I needed and go to on the back to get it for me? Next, the tire cover.... Same issue.... I was asked what size the tire is and I told her it's what came stock on the 2018 mallard 185.... Response from her: 'how am I suppose to know what size that is, I can't tell you what's on your trailer'. Again, you work at the parts counter from a trailer dealership, you should be able to tell me this. Here was the resolution.... She told me to go into their trailer lot and find the.type of taillight and take a picture, then find the size of tire I have on one of their trailers and take a picture of that. There wasn't a taillight like ours, so I spent 20 minutes trying to find a picture online (surprisingly difficult to find a picture of the back of trailers showing the right taillight). After taking the pictures and giving the info we were asked for, she disappeared for 20 minutes (for a light cover and tire cover). Came back with a tire cover and was told to order the light cover THROUGH AMAZON if I wanted it sonnet than the next few weeks! To top it all off.... We get home and the tire cover she gave us was too damn small! I realize that the picture I took on one of their trailers, which was of similar size and axles, was a 215/75R14 when my tire is actually a 215/75R15, but that's why I go to the place we purchased the trailer from, so they can tell me what I need. We spent an hour and 15 minutes dealing with a person who talked down to us, gave huge attitude because I didn't come in with pictures of what I needed, and left with one thing we needed which was too small. I guess my recommendation is to get parts from Amazon or somewhere else if you need actual assistance and not an order taker. read more

I went to Camping world and at first had a great experience but after walking out as a first time buyer I realized I had been cheated by my salesman and then upon picking the damn trailer up they didn't even give me the keys to open to the damn thing. A month later... My wife decided to see if we could see if our travel trailer has been posted and what Camping World listed it as. Note: Camping World purchased our trailer for $19,750.00 and now has it posted at $30,999... We lost $11K on this deal! Man, we got screwed!!! I would give a negative star if that was an option. The last 2 times I've taken my RV in for service I get the absolute worst customer service and leave feeling like I've been robbed. It is the most depressing place and all the workers hate their jobs. If I didn't have the extended warranty through them (Good Sam) I would never go back. Today I had to dewinterize my RV so I sat and waited the hour it took. When they took my RV back to be serviced it had 39,556 miles and when I picked it up it had 39,882 miles on the odometer! This is the 2nd time it's happened after getting service done here. Of course when I bring it up to their service department manager Cory, he will refuse to acknowledge they had anything to do with it and treat me like a diseased rat. I will be reporting them to the BBB knowing nothing will change but at least I tried to do something. read more

Campingworld puts all their efforts into sales. Service doesn't happen. I bought a new Montana fifth wheel a few months ago. It took 3 months to get the initial list of problems looked at. In every case, the repair made it worse than the original problem. Example: Rear blind won't retract; They took 7 weeks to order a new blind. When fixed it did retract but the bottom edge pulled half way off. As part of the fix they also replaced the day shade for some reason. The new day shade is way too short and only pulls down to cover half the window. I also had a bulge in the molding on one side. They 'fixed it' and 87 miles later, the entire lower panel below the trim came loose for 5 feet along the side. Hydraulic leak in one ram; After they looked at it, I had a massive leak at the control panel also and they cut a hole in the bottom (left open) where wires worked their way out while traveling, drug on the road to the point they shorted out. HORRIBLE WORKMANSHIP WITH NO PRIDE IN THEIR WORK. read more

First... bought a brand new camper at camping world and before I even took it off the lot, I notice the sink was cracked. They said it was covered but I had to bring it back for scheduled service. I did, and ended up having to stay in a hotel for 2 nights for them to fix what they said would take 4 hours. BS but got it fixed. Next... traveled into Park city, UT and as a park my camper in our reserved spot and go inside... the new kitchen sink had fallen out of my counter and was hanging by the plumbing! I called the location in Draper, UT right away and the service department was already closed so the lady said she'd give them a message and they would call the first thing in the morning to schedule a repair... I mistakenly bought 2 trailers from Camping World Draper, formerly Ardell Brown RV. I thought I would write a review and when I came to Yelp, I realized I will just be another unheard voice. For the gouging this company does up front, then lack of service (even when you buy the best service contract) it does for owners (saw notes that they won't service RVs not bought from them), they also don't do trailer washing or detailing because they are too busy. STOP BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY! I have had my trailer in their shop for almost a month to replace one gasket and one ceiling fan. We purchased a used motorhome from Camping World in Salt Lake in June of 2023. They charged us $3,800 to go through the motorhome and fix anything before we took it home. when we went to pick it up the technician that went through it with us wasn't the one that worked on it so he wasn't sure what had been done. When we got home with it they hadn't even cleaned out the sewer. We spent three hours cleaning out someone else's shit. The carpets were dirty. There were crumbs in the couch. The first time we took it out the stove wouldn't stay lit and it wouldn't stay leveled (has self leveling). We sent an email of our unsatisfaction so we took it in on August 17, 2024. We just got it back on January 18,2024. Their service was a joke. Terrible communication. They fixed the stove and jacks. It was filthy. They had to jumpstart it before we could bring it home. We got a call from back east and they wouldn't give us a refund on the $3,800. No integrity. We won't buy form them again and for sure won't take anything to their service department. Let me save you...DON'T GO TO ANY CAMPING WORLD... Tooele, Draper, Helper. I have purchased a trailer from Camping World in the past and it was the WORST experience all around. Avoided going back to them for any reason if we had issues with the trailer we would pay out of pocket rather than deal with such a dishonest and condescending bunch of people. When we decided to upgrade to a larger trailer a few years later, did our research took our time and made our purchased through Emery Carbon RV because of the reviews, customer service and sales were all helpful and took the time to go over every and all questions I had and I didn't want to repeat my experience with Camping World. At the time of purchase Emery offered a "forever warranty" to cover the roof and main appliances that would require a yearly inspection to maintain that warranty. We decided to purchase that warranty and have had the inspections performed yearly. Jump ahead Camping World bought Emery RV this year and when I went to schedule the yearly inspection I asked if they honor that warranty, they said yes but we charge $350.00 for the inspection and if any work needs to be done there is a $500.00+ deductible. So in other words they do NOT honor any warranty. IF they would have said out right that they wouldn't honor the warranty from Emery I could have respected that, but instead I was meet with rude comments, laughter at my questions and told just how stupid Emery was to offer that because they are ONLY there to make money. WOW... If that doesn't tell you their intentions... they DON'T care about you as a customer and ONLY interested in taking your money. Camping World WILL talk down to you, avoid answering honestly to any question you might have and for sure take your money and you will get nothing in return. Avoid this company It has and still is the worst experience dealing with them. It must be a company policy to be as rude as you can to a customer. I made an appointment to have my pop up serviced. I got the family up early, hooked up the camper in freezing February weather and drove down to Camping World. When we arrived we checked in with the service department. A man came out just to tell us they don't work on Coleman brand. The roof resealing I scheduled for, the guy said we would have to replace the entire top. The top on has a few cracks on the sides, definitely nothing that would result in an entire top. If they knew they didn't work on Coleman pop-ups why wasn't I told that when I confirmed my appointmen? Also, a phone call would have saved us so much time and gas. If you buy a used trailer from this outfit, make sure to test everything and don't take it till you know all that's wrong with it. Bought a 2014 voltage and extra warranty. Had to wait 30 days for the warranty to take effect and now have to wait 30 days to get it in because they are so busy. I have a bad shower valve, leaking pipes, and a slide that won't go back in. Have had it for 45 days and it hasn't left my driveway. Make them power it up, to check lights, A/C, awnings, furnace, and pumps. Make them fill it up with water and flush the toilets, run the sinks, and shower, check under over hang for leaks. Know what your buying into read more

The following reasons why I will never buy from Camping World 1: They charge $1,200 to clean and inspect their product before selling it to you - this is for new units! You can opt out of the charge but you have to accept a dirty unit that may have issues... In what other world do you get charged to be provided with an acceptable product? In their defense it does come with a worthless membership to Good Sam and $20 of free propane. 2: We were told that if we don't finance with them they would charge an extra $1500 for the unit. The trailer we were buying was only 13K... that's an 11% up-charge. If they are making 1500 dollars off the financing deal, their financing options must be horrible. 3:We were told the trailer we were buying was at "rock bottom" pricing for the RV show, but we found the same trailer at another dealer for $2000 less. Again, this was only a 13k trailer - 11k at another dealer. When we approached Camping World about this their "rock bottom" prices dropped $1500. 4:I cannot comment directly on the service here since I have never had anything serviced at this location - but the sheer number of bad reviews in terms of service is alarming. All dealerships have bad reviews which is understandable since its emotional when anything expensive breaks - but there are next to no good reviews about this place. I normally look at ratios of good to bad reviews and in this instance the ratio is all bad with next to no good. read more

Last Saturday I hand carried my propane regulator in that had 1 bad pigtail hose that startwd leaking around the crimped fitting. Service department was closed. The parts desk was staffed and i asked if they could remove just the 1 bad hose i could not remove myself. Well long story short he went in back with it and when he came back he had removed BOTH hoses! Unfortunately the good hose could not be replaced because the hex fitting was destroyed to the point it could not be reused. They did not have any replament hoses or even a replacement regulator with hose that I could buy. I went to another local RV center that was able to supply a different regulator and hoses that got me back on the road. I will never go to another Camping World! read more

Again, this horrible RV service is such a let down. My RV has had nothing but problems. We bought it brand new. The wall literally separated from the floor. The door won't close because the hole for the striker plate was drilled too low. We've had the propane lines replaced twice. The black tank leaked, and ruined the undercarriage. There was a leak on the top in front that would fill the front bedroom window with water. Mold everywhere, thanks to the moisture getting in. Etc, etc. Ridiculous. So we took it in for warranty repair. 3 MONTHS LATER.... STILL HAVE PROBLEMS. They did fix the slide out that had separated wall from floor. But, not any think else. It's ridiculous. At what point can you call it a lemon? Maybe I should just hire a lawyer. I bought this in Aug. So, less than a year, plus the 3 months Camping World had it, I've barely used it. So I'm paying for a broken pile of nothing. It's beyond frustrating! Definitely buyer beware, just make sure you know what you want, and that if it breaks, you might be on your own. read more

We have been here several times we found a trailer we wanted to purchase. We filled out our paperwork and didn't hear anything for over a week and when we did finally hear from finance we got conflicting information. We went in and sat with finance and they were supposed to get back to us, again nothing from them for a week so we went in again this weekend and we're told they would get back to us on Monday. Today is Tuesday still nothing. We are trying to purchase a $93k RV that we were told we were approved for. Zero follow up from anyone .... ZERO. Message received... if there is no follow up at the purchase level then I will just thank my lucky stars that we did not purchase from this company! I have zero faith that they would follow through on repairs or warranty if they can't even follow through on a sale. I'm not going to point out any individuals but I am disappointed by the lack of follow through but that being said I think we dodged a major bullet! read more

When I was buying my RV they were VERY nice.. When you do to service your RV...not so much... You call.. the extremely rude, cold Secretary answers.. attempts to transfer you to service... they never answer.. then you get the luxury of getting the call transferred back to Miss. Less than friendly at the front desk.. Only to have little miss "i hate my job" tell you to call later... So after you play this game for about an hour.. you finally get a nice capable human.... Camping World... Please re-train the robot girls who answer the phone...... But I must say that they honor warranty work and are very fair with that... but now, 6 months later, we still have issues with the service desk people. These guys rock! I started going there 3 years ago when I picked up an old Truck Camper that had water damage. Now I have an old Class A and am venturing even more. The parts department has always been helpful and knowledgeable. And this last time was no exception. I needed a set up to be able to flat tow my Equinox. Tyson in Parts was super helpful showing me the different options. The other Parts guys & gal helped too in answering my questions and when we were getting stuff ordered to make sure everything needed was on the order. I took awhile making up my mind, so I was there for a bit. During that time I observed how the team interacted and how well they treated each customer. The Parts Dept is outstanding! When everything came in the Service Department took over. They understood my time constraints and got me in and out during the two week envelope I was going to be in town. They even finished the install early! Camping World is a big company, but the Draper Store has always treated me like they were a Mom & Pop place where each customer was important. read more

While on a road trip from California through Yellowstone, we had a failing landing gear on our fifth wheel. We found Camping World in Draper and went in to purchase the part we needed. Unfortunately, they didn't have it in stock. Still, the two gentlemen in the parts department were so kind to us - they even called around to other Camping World locations on our route until they found one that had the part we needed. I have had such poor customer service at the Camping World in Fresno, CA, that I kind of expected them to all be the same. I was pleasantly surprised and wish this one was in my area in California. We bought a 2022 Thor Vegas last year before we even took it off the lot we had problems. They claim it got fixed we took it on our trip and had nothing but major problems with it. took it back to Camping World in September 2021 and there is sat they say getting worked on and waiting for part till May of this year. we took it on a weekend trip and had to take it back with more major problems. It's a lemon and Camping World won't work with us on getting us into another unit unless we pay another $40,000. because of depreciation but interesting thing is they have had our RVMaster 79% of the time since we bought it. we have bought all our rv's from them and never again will we get anything from them. Went online and even drove over to check out the inventory. 1st time buyer, went online to see what I qualified for and before I knew they ran a credit report. I didn't even have all my income entered in their system before they ran it. Missed a call from them wanting to talk to me about it, I called back and got nothing. When I went in to their location it was all about sell, sell, sell. I'd rather drive farther to a place that actually has staff that care about customers..... look elsewhere. read more

I purchased a AirForce One Braking system from the store in Mesa, AZ with the intention of having it installed. Because of the Covid issues we had to return to Utah and we were told that the Campingworld in Draper could install it. We were given a refund for the installation labor, $650, and we took the braking system with us back to Utah. When I called to make an appointment to have the system installed at the Draper store they informed me that the installation would take 16 hours at $135 and hour or $2,160. Obviously we will not allow ourselves to be ripped off nor will we ever trust any products or services from the Draper Campingworld. read more

Since the minimum star rating must be a 1 star, I'll give Camping World 1 star, but they deserve far less. We purchased a 2014 Itasca Sunstar from a dealer in California (Camping World pricing was WAY higher), and have had ongoing warranty related issues. We've taken our coach in to CW many times only to be disappointed in the level of service received. They even told us that since our coach was out of the 1 year bumper to bumper warranty, they were no longer inclined to continue to fix an ongoing problem that they could never figure out while it was under that warranty. We began dealing with the manufacturer of the automatic leveling system, Lippert Components, Inc., and have just returned from Goshen, IN, where they fixed our problem themselves at no charge to us. However, it took us an entire week to get there and back, and cost us over $1000 in gas/RV park stays/food when CW should have continued to work with Lippert Components to resolve the issue and fix the system. I will NEVER work with CW again and strongly encourage anyone reading this to find a different service center! CW disappoints on every level. read more

I left and purchased my Honda 7000 down the road after no one would simply let me know if they had one in stock. Worst experience I have ever encountered with a business. My wife and I were in one day browsing potential travel trailers to purchase. Our salesperson was great and we found one that we were interested in. We were told that our monthly payment was going to be between a certain amount of money, but we couldn't finalize financing that day because banks were closed. I got a call the next day with a monthly payment quoted considerably higher than the amount discussed the day before. When asked for an explanation I was told that "the salesperson must have quoted us a longer term" I asked if it was possible to go through a different lender and they told me no. So... my wife and I called the bank directly to find out what the discrepancy was. Come to find out the dealer took away our 1,000 dollar deposit and inflated our purchase price another 2K. A 3,000 DOLLAR DIFFERENCE THAN WHAT WE AGREED TO THE DAY BEFORE THAT THEY TRIED TO GET US TO AGREE TO WITH ZERO EXPLANATION. After this experience we did not move forward with a company that did business this way and I requested my money back. I had a very unpleasant conversation with Levi their manager who tried even after all this to tell me that they weren't going to refund my deposit and that the contract we signed (without any specified financing terms) was binding.
