Second generation chic dip in Lake Chelan

I wish I could give this resort a five star rating, because I love it, but I can't. We brought our children to Campbell's every summer for many years, along with several other families, usually about 20 to 25 people. So very fun. We have not been able to come back for about 10 years. We were looking forward to our, now adult and married, children being together (separate rooms), hoping to start a second generation of this tradition. The day my husband and I checked in we noticed an odor in our room as soon as we walked in the door. I checked to see there were no old garbage or damp used towels. I put baking soda down all the drains. I looked everywhere, but could not discern where the odor was coming from. It never went away. Very sad. We were also disappointed in the restaurant upstairs. The service was extraordinarily slow. The food was ho-hum. The hollandaise sauce was tasteless. Please, please fix this!!!

What a great getaway. Wonderful front desk staff. Well appointed rooms with lovely view of the lake . The grounds were perfect . Staff goes out of the way to make your stay perfect.

Bathroom

The rooms are small, ugly, run down and the bathroom hasn't been updated since the 1970s. The A/C sounded like a lawn mower. I also was given a "corner room" without being told it has no front door, no window (other than the sliding door) and is about 15'x12'. If the cost had been $100 a night vs $400, I'd have been ok with the trade off. To their credit they replaced the AC when requested, but it was just a bad. This is not a 4 star resort as listed - it is a soft 3 star at best.

Spent Mother's Day weekend here 2024 We got a nice treat and had the hydroplane races taking place, and we got to enjoy them right from the deck off our room. I was also very pleased with their Mother's Day brunch. I would have given this place 5 stars. If they had had more elevators

Visited Lake Chelan on a recent trip and the area is absolutely beautiful. Campbell's resort is situated right on the lake so you have beautiful views from every room. The rooms themselves are a bit dated, and could definitely use some updating and upgrading. The check in and out process was super smooth, the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Campbells is within walking distance of the cute little downtown with a lot of different food options. A short drive away there are also tons of wineries, so you have quite a few options for food and beverage. I did not get a chance to eat at Campbells, but next time I return I will definitely eat there.

Summer fun!! What a relaxing vacation spot. Our family of 5 enjoyed 3 days lakeside at Campbells resort this summer. It was such a wonderful time, and many memories made. Campbells made it easy with accessible grills and picnic areas, comfy lounge areas, the swimming beaches and jumping platforms, floatie filling air hose, and most of all the great location on the lake, a short walk to the ice cream shop, across the street from Safeway, Starbucks, and the market. Such a great time!!!

Visited Lake Chelan over the past weekend and was looking at places to stay and stumbled upon this resort.. Usually, minimum requirement is a two night stay but management allowed my one night stay. Checking in Saturday was $194 a night. Every room at Campbell's has a lake view, which is a plus! Who doesn't love having a water front room?! I was checked into room 4128, which is on the first floor. The jacuzzi was right in front of our room and also the grass area. They have bbq grills you can use too! First impression of the room was that it was a bit small but it was doable. The towels are really rough! So be careful using it on your body and precious face (You don't want to damage your beautiful skin!!). Their bed was wayyyyyy too firm for my husbands and I liking. (We both woke up the next morning with sore bodies..) Campbell's location is great. There's a Safeway, Starbucks and a cute little corner store with everything you need in it. I would definitely stay at Campbell's again for their beautiful view of Lake Chelan and their convenient location.

What are their vaccination policies? Are all staff fully vaccinated? Is the policy the same for the hotel and restaurants?

Are the beds comfortable?

Yes! We think our mattresses are very comfortable. In fact, I sleep on the same mattress the hotel uses at home, and I am very comfortable.

The TV and sound system could definitely use an update, and I don't believe it was a smart TV. The front desk staff were not very friendly. They kept calling us on the day of arrival and again on the day we were leaving, which felt a bit excessive. I did appreciate the complimentary toothbrush and razor, though that was a nice touch. The kitchen amenities and sink area were also very nice and convenient. The biggest drawback was the smoke alarm beeping in the middle of the night. It really disrupted our sleep. I understand maintenance may have needed to come in, but I wasn't comfortable with someone entering while we were out or disturbing our privacy while we were inside I'm a bit particular about that when my belongings are in the room. Overall, the views were the highlight, but due to the outdated features, staff experience, and the alarm issue, our stay fell short of expectations.

In fact, when the washer wouldn't open, maintenance had to come in and take the **entire washing machine apart** just to try to retrieve my belongings. Unfortunately, I had a flight to catch and had to leave before maintenance was able to get everything back to me. The front desk attendant assured me that they would send my belongings to me. At no point was I told that I would be responsible for an outrageous shipping fee. A few days later, I received a message from another front desk attendant who was rude and said she had no idea what I was talking about and that I could call back Monday to speak with the original attendant. I was then sent a link to "iLeftMyBelongings" to arrange shipping. I filled out the form and was shocked to see that I was being charged **$152-$156 to ship approximately 6-8 pieces of clothing.** This wasn't a case of me simply leaving my laundry behind. I was **forced to leave my belongings because the hotel's washing machine malfunctioned.** I contacted the hotel and explained that I was specifically told the hotel would take care of returning my belongings. I also explained that the issue was completely caused by their equipment not functioning properly. To make matters even more frustrating, I was working on the Little Giant fire and have a very limited amount of time at home before deploying again. Some of the items left behind include clothing and parts of my uniform that I actually need for my upcoming assignments. So getting these items back is not just a matter of convenience. I expected the hotel to take responsibility for a problem caused by their own equipment and honor what their front desk employee promised me. Instead, I was given conflicting information, poor customer service, and an absurd shipping charge. This could have been handled very easily, but the lack of communication and accountability has made the entire situation incredibly frustrating. **If your equipment breaks and your guest is forced to leave their belongings behind, the least you can do is stand behind your staff's promise to return them.** The apartment was not cleaned properly, the bathroom had water damage, smelled like pets - I didn't have many options to pick from in Chelan and had to stay there because I was working on the local wild fire. Very disappointing experience, and unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here.

I have to agree with the other reviewer's on the subject of check in and check out times. 6pm check in with a 10am checkout feels absolutely ridiculous, and almost feels like they're cutting your vacation and entire day short. If you arrive early, plan on finding other activities to occupy yourself before checking in. The unit I stayed in had yet to be remodeled, so it lacked the nicer room amenities, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. The view however, made up for any other complaints. The accommodations of the resort were great, and I'd imagine, perfect for families. The pools are fairly private, and even when the area is full, didn't feel crowded or stuffy. We brought our canoe and were happy to learn we could dock it there for free. My only criticism is that the grounds and accommodations are not the best as far as accessibility goes. Almost nothing was ADA compliant, and the steep walkways were hard for my mother to continue going up and down from our room to the beach.
