My husband and I stayed here during the Chocolate & Wine event in a one bedroom unit. The unit itself is a tad outdated, but it does offer beautiful, breathtaking views, which we really enjoyed. The beds were just okay obviously not as comfortable as our bed at home. The TV and sound system could definitely use an update, and I don't believe it was a smart TV. The front desk staff were not very friendly. They kept calling us on the day of arrival and again on the day we were leaving, which felt a bit excessive. I did appreciate the complimentary toothbrush and razor, though that was a nice touch. The kitchen amenities and sink area were also very nice and convenient. The biggest drawback was the smoke alarm beeping in the middle of the night. It really disrupted our sleep. I understand maintenance may have needed to come in, but I wasn't comfortable with someone entering while we were out or disturbing our privacy while we were inside I'm a bit particular about that when my belongings are in the room. Overall, the views were the highlight, but due to the outdated features, staff experience, and the alarm issue, our stay fell short of expectations. read more

DO NOT BOOK HERE, THEY ARE LIKELY TO CANCEL ON YOU WITHOUT WARNING AND WITHOUT HELP! According to the manager, I was the 4th booking this WEEK she had to cancel last minute! My friends and I booked a suite to stay here, but got a call from the front desk at 6:15am the morning of our reservation to say they had overbooked and could not accommodate us. EXCUSE ME?! We booked nine months ahead of time to ensure we got a place with a kitchen and two separate sleeping areas on this specific weekend for an event. I also received a confirmation email one week before we were supposed to arrive. But we got dropped all the same, with ZERO warning and ZERO help. WorldMark couldn't find us another place to stay because Chelan is super busy (hence why we booked so far in advance!), and couldn't help in any way because they don't even handle their own reservations. The supervisor, Angel Colins, told me I was the FOURTH PERSON THIS WEEK she has had to do this to. That is outrageous. So I was forced to deal with the 3rd party booking agency used by WorldMark (Express Holiday), who said they would "Look for other accommodations and call back in 30 minutes." TWO HOURS LATER, I called them back and got some BS answer that they were "still looking," meanwhile my husband had found and booked the final hotel room in all of Chelan and Manson. Magically, this hotel room happened to be "the only one in the area in their database" so they were able to switch over our reservation. If there's a specific network of hotels they were supposed to be searching and this was the only one, how did they not find it in two hours? Very fishy. For all our trouble and our vastly downgraded room - we went from a 2 bed suite with full kitchen in downtown Chelan to a double queen hotel room in Manson - they refunded one night for us. Unbelievable. We should be fully refunded for going through this nightmare, nearly missing our vacation, finding the new hotel room for them, and taking a HUGE downgrade with no bedrooms and no kitchen, forcing us to spend extra money going out to eat. Whatever you do, do NOT book with WorldMark or anywhere through Express Holiday! There are lots of nice places to stay in Chelan, pick a different one because WorldMark is NOT a guaranteed booking. read more

Awesome accommodations! The Condo Residence "B" is huge. The Pool and club house is spectacular, the staff is nice and helpful. They brought up a new propane tank for the BBQ grill in like 5 minutes. We were pleased that a room became available for the two nights in September we wanted, since we were going to be in Chelan anyway for the Debbie Gibson, Tiffany concert in Manson. Originally we had booked a 3 bedroom room-that had a lake view, as they had one available- and everything else was way overpriced in town! ($100+ for 2 star hotels!) When they informed us a one bedroom was available (We put ourselves on a waitlist) We went ahead and changed it, because 3 bedroom unit is rather spacy for 2 people lol. Don't really get why people don't like this location, we arrived at 3 am, and they have a phone outside since of course they have the doors locked at 3 am. The front desk person let us in within seconds, gave us our room keys, we had a one bedroom unit also. And In regards parking spots, most Worldmarks I've been to have more parking spots than rooms, so you can't judge how booked it is from that! And this location is generally full anyway, so I would be shocked if it wasn't full! This location is closer to the downtown Chelan than their other location is. Our view wasn't great, but unless you book a room that says lake view, you won't be getting that! I would Highly recommend this location! read more

Booked a 1 bedroom condo with a view for the weekend several months ago tp celebrate my husband Birthday. When we arrived we did not get a room with a view we had a view of the parking lot. Since we are Worldmark owners I called the sales office after talking to the front desk, no help. Worldmark said there wasn't anything they could do for me, that the facility was booked.... The parking garage only had about 1/3 of the stalls used all weekend, which tells me it wasn't booked, we stayed the 1st weekend in April which isn't the peak season. The condo was clean except for the blood splattered in the bathroom on the wall and light fixture The noise you could hear in the condo from everyone out in the hall walking and talking was as if the front door was open. It didn't feel special at all. I will never stay there again. read more

Brand new condo/vacation rental in the heart of Lake Chelan. Loads of thoughtful amenities. The Lake House in Lake Chelan is located directly across from Lake- yet the Lake is somewhat inaccessible. And the road tends to be noisy from the decks. If you want a "lake side feel" or cabin-esque setting, this is NOT the place to stay. But if you need convenience and predictability, make your reservation. Here are the goods: Pool and hot tub Exercise room S'mores nightly at the BBQ pit Free Wi-Fi Comfy beds and fluffy pillow and towels BBQ's on the Decks Full kitchens Fully Furnished Walking distance to Starbucks, Safeway, & DT. My wife and I stayed at The Lake House Chelan both during Memorial Day weekend and the entire week of 4th of July. Our experience was nothing but exceptional. We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo with luxury all around us. The views of the lake from the 3rd Level were incredible. Very large deck and fully equiped with everything we needed. We spent most of our time relaxing pool side or BBQ'ing at the Pool House but we love the convenience of everything that Chelan has to offer being so close. Now that we are owners at The Lake House we will be coming back to Chelan for years to come. read more

I've been vacationing in Chelan for years and have stayed at a variety of places, but have returned to the Lake House for my past few visits, most recently MLK weekend for WInterFest. The amenities at the Lake House surpass any other place that I've stayed in the area. Where else could I swim in a heated pool in the winter, work off my Lake View Drive-In french fries in a convenient workout room, greeted to an evening of roasted marshmallows at the fire pit, AND be walking distance to DT Chelan? Nowhere. And in comparing other places/rates nearby, the Lake House can't be beat! The condos are new, clean, and spacious. We've stayed in a 3 bedroom unit 2 different times, this last time with 3 adults and 5 adults during the previous trip, we had plenty of room each time. The kitchens have all the utensils you would need, and of course being able to eat in saved us even more money. This last weekend we had the VERY best views of the fireworks from our patio, the bonus is that we stayed dry since it's covered. You don't see rain in Chelan often, but it poured that night. I've read some of the other comments about being on a highway, I think that's laughable. The 'highway' is a two lane road with a 25 mph speed limit (might be 20 mph, but I do have a lead foot). There is a cross walk within a block, so it's not exactly like you're playing a game of Frogger when heading to the beach. The one thing it is missing is direct beach access, but the other amenities, the views, the price, and helpful staff certainly make up for it. And it's not like I couldn't walk less than 5 min to jump in the lake. My next trip will definitely be at the Lake House. read more

We stayed in a 3 bedroom over the summer and there were 8 of us. It was a tight fit but it worked out well. The view from the balcony was great. While it is right at the street, it was great for enjoying the sun (or shade), people watching, and relaxing and enjoying the view of the lake. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked, and the unit was clean and well updated. It is in a great location to walk to town, to the grocery store next door, or across the street to the beach, park, go karts, golf, playground, etc. The pool was a great way to cool off and there was a common area with a pool table and other things to do. I highly recommend staying here. The location alone you can't beat! read more

I wish I could give no stars but I can't. Last year, was our first experience with the Worldmark takeover. There were no private grills and we waited almost 4 hours for our room to be cleaned and ready. Fast forward a year and we book through one of the few private owners left and arrived to no free wifi. To say that Worldmark nickels and dimes would be an understatement. The cost of wifi for what we needed was about $4 a day for 10 days. The cost isn't the issue. Then, we learned that there are no more nightly s'mores. We won't be back. What used to be a wonderful family vacation has turned into one little disappointment after another because of corporate greed and disregard for customer service. I'm actually giving it 3.5 stars. Disclaimer: I visited this place in the first place of March, when Lake Chelan is more or less deserted, so your experience in the summer crowds may be different. First the good parts: - Awesome interiors. We rented the three bedroom unit, and the furnishings and amenities inside are pretty good (flat screen TV in each bedroom, modern appliances, etc). Someone mentioned in another review that "once they got over the interiors, they realized they were in a Motel 6.." or something to that effect. That's just unfair - the interiors are what differentiates it from a Motel 6. - Outdoor heated pool (didn't get to use it), a evening fireplace in the cabana where you can sit around the fire and toast marshmallows. - Helpful staff. We were the only family there Sunday evening, and yet one of the staff (Tim) re-started the fire for us, handed us marshmallows and generally let us have a good time. Now the not-so-good parts: - Although it does have a great view, it does not have beach access. You have to cross a road to get to the beach. - The aforementioned road is technically a highway (Highway 150), and one review mentions it being noisy. Perhaps it is because I went in the off-season, but the road was not noisy at all during the night. The noise was audible during the day, but did not bother us. - When I read the unit description (condo with 3 bedrooms, kitchen, etc) - I thought it would be somewhat of an independent unit. It's not. The exterior appearance of this property is not pretty at all, and the doors of adjacent units are pretty close to each other - it's closer to a hotel than to a condo complex. - There are just some tacky things that didn't bother me too much, but they were there. The phone in the condo has a specific extension to reach a "vacation planner". I called the extension, only to reach the front-desk (then again, this may be because I went in the off season). Some of the furnishings in the condo were flimsy (like the bunk beds). - No room service, meals, etc. But then again, the price is pretty cheap ($50 per bedroom). read more

The interiors are quite fabulous. Well appointed, lots of square footage, very soft towels, comfy beds, flat screen tv's. Nice view of the lake, mountains, putt putt. BUT, and yes, that's a big BUT - it is right on the highway! So noisy!! No lakeside peace and quiet here. Also, there is no formal entrance, so you are forced to walk on the scorching hot black tar pavement of the driveway to get everywhere - the lake (if you can cross the highway), the pool, the front desk, your unit, even the sidewalk. White paved pathways would have gone a long way. After the first 24 hours I got over the nice interior and realized I was staying in a motor lodge on Chelan's Aurora. read more

One star, only because there is no 'no star' AND I did finally after a couple of months get my answer. A group of us, roughly 12 people were planning our trip to Chelan for January. We have stated previously at another establishment, but wanted to try something new. On paper, this place, The Lake House, looks great. I repeat, on paper. After leaving a couple messages (phone and email) I finally received a phone call back telling me I would get a phone call back :/. A couple says later I did in fact get that phone call. I was told that they did not have the schedule for January 2014 yet. It's the fourth quarter of 2013?! I was able to leave my name and number and they would call me when they had the schedule. A month passes - nothing. My father, who was I town at the time stops by and questions the front desk person. It seems that they are going through an ownership change. The guy promises to call me the next day to let me know. I do not get a phone call. I happen to be in town a couple weeks later and stop by. The front desk person lets me know of the ownership change, apologizes that I have had the issues. I received answers, but honestly it's too little too late. read more

Do not go here unless you want to deal with screaming children and an inept front desk. When we made reservations the front desk told us the room could have up to 8 people. However, when we arrived Friday afternoon we were told 8 people really meant "4 adults and 4 children" and we would be fined $500 if they found out we had more. When we were honest and told them we had 8 adults they shrugged and said they'd allow a max of 6 or refund our money. We took our business elsewhere. It is ridiculous to advertise one way and surprise your guests when they arrive. I will say the resort looked nice and clean but when we went to check in there were screaming kids everywhere. I would never recommend The Lake House. read more

The Lake House is as good as it get's for a family in Chelan. 3 bedrooms a real kitchen and within walking distance to everything. The staff is all top notch from Brian and Tim to all the girls at the receptionist area. Our Family has stayed here 3 times, each time outdoing the other. As for beach access the only places to stay with direct access are Cambells, for twice the price and a quarter the space, or Darnells which is not even in the same ballpark, otherwise they all share the public beaches. read more

The 3 bedroom units are huge - bedrooms and bathrooms are all great sizes. Beautiful well stocked kitchen. Loved that the "kids" bedroom is at the far end so once you put the kiddos to bed you can still stay up and play cards or whatever without bothereing them. Staff is VERY helpful and accomodating. They responded to requests immediately and were more than helpful with directions, etc. Even offered a crib and highchair to us for our daughter. We had brought our own but how great! They really have thought of everything. We felt very pampered and being there in the off-season was great. very quiet and home-y - right down to the fireplace (just for show). read more

Our recent vacation to The Lake House at Chelan was excellent. We were looking to get away from home with our new baby for a few days and The Lake House was perfect. We had everything that we could have possibly needed in our residence and the location in Chelan made it super convenient to get around with a stroller. Overall I was so disappointed by our experience that I would not stay here again. Nice room(s), great location but that does not make up for the terrible customer service. I've had much better stays at other Chelan hotels that are more affordable. I made reservations months in advance for a 3 bedroom condo at The Lake House for a girls' trip. When we checked in, I was told they had upgraded us to a lake view room which was beautiful. The next morning we were told that they had made a mistake, needed us to move rooms and needed us out ASAP. Staff were polite about it but made no extra effort to improve our experience. Then after rushing to get ready and re-pack, it took multiple phone calls requesting help moving our bags and food into a room in the lobby while waiting for our new room to be cleaned. We asked to be contacted when the new room was ready but were told that it depended on housekeeping. Again, no extra effort on the staff's part to better our experience. They treated us as though WE were inconveniencing THEM. We had plans to go wine tasting around Chelan and Manson. Most wineries close in the early evening (between 4-6). After being at the lake and walking around town for a few hours (killing time), I called the hotel to see if our new room was ready. They were unable to tell me and said they'd call as soon as they knew. 1 hour later (basically 4pm, which is their standard check-in time) they called and said the room was ready. We headed back, checked in again, and I asked for help moving our luggage to the new room. We waited at least 30 min. before calling the front to check on our bags. Again I got the impression that staff were disinterested in helping us and oblivious to the fact that they had inconvenienced us. The man at the front dest was short with me over the phone and told me that our luggage had been placed on a cart but did not know when it would be delivered. Not helpful at all. We were tired of waiting and needed our luggage to get ready so we went and got our things without ANY help from the staff. We then only had time to go to one winery before our dinner reservations. We had to accommodate not having a hotel room for approx. 5 hours on our only full day in Chelan which meant rearranging our day and canceling plans. There was no acknowledgement by the hotel staff about the fact that THEY had made a mistake and inconvenienced us. The WorldMark by Wyndham website says that you'll receive "friendly and attentive customer service that is among the best in the hospitality industry" and that they "strive to exceed expectations." This was NOT our experience at all. For an upscale resort, I was shocked at how little the staff seemed to care about their guests. They did the bare minimum required of them. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. read more
